Ben Simpson presents an altcoin investing strategy using a concrete example (Maple). He describes buying at deeply discounted prices (Maple at $0.06 after a ~70% drawdown from ~$0.30–$0.40), holding through fear, doubling down on unique undervalued projects with strong fundamentals and limited competition, and taking staged profits (sold at $0.43) — a sequence that resulted in a ~10x peak and enabled him to reach a personal goal (buying his parents a house). The video emphasizes risk-reward assessment, conviction at market lows, and disciplined profit-taking.

This one coin did a 10x this cycle already. And I'm going to break it down as to why the altcoin strategy works. Literally has been able to change my life and achieve the goal that I've had my entire investing career, which is to buy my parents a house because of this one strategy. Now, Maple, as you probably heard me talk about this on my socials, is this project and literally it hit 6 cents in April this year. Before that was about 30 or 40 cents, all right. @ the bottom of the market, it was down 70%. And when most people give up, they sell at this point. But I had conviction. All right, Risk to reward, you need to know in crypto, this is my strateg need to know the potential upside for a project and the risk you're going to take. For me, Maple, at 6 cents when looking at how much money it had in the protocol was a massive upside potential, all right, versus a meme coin, for example, yes, may have upside potential, but the risk is massive because there's so many of them. Syrup and maple is a big outlier. So the strategy is to find assets that are, that are unique, that are undervalued based on fundamentals, and then double down the points where there's max fear on the way up. And this is where I took profits of 43 cents and ended up peaking 10x literally three months later because of the fundamental growth. So the strategy here is you need to find gems that have upcoming narratives that are undervalued, that don't have a lot of competition, double down the low points, take profits at points of the way up to not risk it all, achieve your goals and live a happy life.
