(uploaded 2026-01-23) featuring Ben Simpson delivering a monologue-style market commentary. He presents a thesis that bitcoin lags gold by roughly six months, links the relationship to increases in global liquidity and M2 money supply, and says recent gold strength is now rotating into bitcoin. He argues bitcoin benefits from the same inflation-hedge demand as precious metals but is superior due to fixed supply, divisibility, and portability, and makes bullish price comparisons (projecting bitcoin into the hundreds of thousands and noting theoretical parity with gold would imply even higher prices). The content is a crypto/financial analysis and opinion piece rather than a multi-person dialogue.

Guys, finally bitcoin is now nearly at that lag period of following gold's trajectory. I want to give you an update on this. This has been a bit of a thesis I've been following for a little while. I've been sharing with you guys as why bitcoin has consistently followed gold in terms of price with a lag time of around six months. Gold had a huge run up last year. Now we're seeing that price movement upwards. Check this out. So I posted this back in October around why bitcoin follows gold. When global liquidity increases M2 money supply expands, we see this delay of around six months. I did another update not that long ago where this was back December 29th, a bit of an update where we started to see gold rotation into bitcoin. And now we're finally seeing that play out with this bitcoin following gold update. Another analyst online, I follow. You can basically see here that as gold continues to rise, we see this lag time where bitcoin follows. Right? And that's where we see increase in global liquidity helps precious metals but also helps risk on assets. A lot of investors are flocking to bitcoin because of the offset of inflation. That's why precious, precious metals like gold and silver perform really well. And bitcoin is in that same boat. Now. It doesn't follow exactly like these precious metals because they're completely different asset classes. And a lot of people still don't understand it. But we're seeing that lag chase that time frame now and we're starting to see bitcoin play out. And this is why I believe bitcoin is going to the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Bitcoin is a one tenth of the size of gold, alright? So if bitcoin was just to get to gold's price, we'd be seeing over a million dollars per bitcoin. And I firmly believe that bitcoin is actually a better asset than gold. Gold, gold is still brilliant obviously. But bitcoin is the most purest form of money. The absolute limited supply asset that it has. It's divisible. You can send it anywhere in the world. And I don't have to lug it around with me. I can't take a million dollars worth of bitcoin on the plane. That is why bitcoin is going to be big and that is why so many people are following and chasing it now.
