YouTube commentary by Ben Simpson arguing that recent gains in altcoins (e.g., Solana, Ethereum) are driven by macroeconomic expectations—specifically increased confidence that central banks will lower interest rates—leading to easier liquidity and a ‘risk-on’ environment. He advises buying dips and preparing a sell-side strategy, and forecasts a market top within roughly 6–18 months.

Altcoins are absolutely flying this morning. Hype is up. Solana's on the move, Ethereum's pushing up. This is all because of next week. We are getting increased confidence that the central bank will lower interest rates. When interest rates go down, money is easier to come by. People buy more assets. It goes into risk on assets like crypto. Once again, most people panic when we had the dip the last two or three weeks, but that is the time to double down and buy during those little dips because they are beautiful, beautiful, beautiful periods to buy. I still believe we have a long way to go, a long way to go in this market of people asking when the market top will be. Ultimately, I think it's going to be somewhere around within the next six to 18 months. And that's a wide time frame. But ultimately, crypto is correlated to macro. People think the world revolves around crypto. Guess what? It doesn't. It revolves around macro, liquidity, global M2, money supply, interest rates, central banks. Everything correlates to risk on assets in this space. And that is why markets moving. That is why we continue to smash and make money in this cycle. Make sure you got your strategy, though. The sell side is going to become very, very important very soon.
