Ben Simpson comments on a strong start for Bitcoin and crypto in early 2026, citing $1.2 billion of inflows over two days of trading and predicting ETFs and institutional capital will drive prices higher through 2026. He argues the traditional four-year cycle is 'dead' after a down 2025, and that institutions and high-net-worth investors are now accumulating Bitcoin via ETFs as fiat currencies decline.

Huge start for bitcoin and crypto in 2026. $1.2 billion of inflows over two days of the first days of trading in 2026. Massive for Bitcoin and crypto. This is going to be the thing that will propel us forward in 2026. In my opinion. The 4 year cycle is confirmed to be dead based on 2025 being a down year. And now we are going to see the ETF inflows and the capital flows from the balance sheet expanding on the Fed and people wanting to diversify and buy assets that are not correlated with with devaluing fiat currency. As the US dollar goes down, as the Australian dollar goes down, you are losing 10% every year. So why are people buying now, the ETFs? Well, these are bigger institutions, bigger whales, high net worths. These are people that are not being in crypto previously now getting accustomed to accumulating Bitcoin through ETFs. And this is what's going to continue to drive prices forward in 2026. 2025 was a tough year, but there was a lot of sell pressure last year. A lot of original OGs, a lot of people have been buying bitcoin a long, long time ago. Selling into new income is in the market has been a tough year, but this is what's going to drive the price moving forward.
