Ben Simpson presents a 60-second explainer arguing Bitcoin is the "best form of money," describing why he went "all in" nine years ago. He frames Bitcoin as digital gold with a fixed 21 million supply (about 19.9M currently), roughly 1M remaining to be issued, and issuance that halves roughly every four years — a deflationary property that he says will take about 100 years to reach the full supply. He emphasizes decentralization ("no one owns it; everyone owns a copy"), long-running security (nearly 20 years without being turned off), and positions Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation that governments, institutions, and companies (e.g., MicroStrategy) are accumulating.

This is bitcoin explained in 60 seconds. I'm sure you've heard of it, but most of you probably don't even know what it is. And it is the asset that I fell in love with nine years ago and went all in because of the properties. That money is. It is the best form of money in the world. Money. Right now, the money having your wallet in your pocket is not backed by anything. It used to be backed by gold. Now it's just paper money that the government prints every single day, every single year, and it inflates. And that is why money is needs to be invested. Bitcoin is deflationary. There's only 21 million Bitcoin that will ever be created. Right now we're at 19.9 million. It's only 1 million ish bitcoin left to go. It is a digital gold. People think it's used for payments. It is. But ultimately I believe it is a better version of gold because it's a limited asset. It's also decentralized, meaning that no one owns it. Everyone owns a copy. There's no one person to go shut it down. It is the oldest and most largest and most secure blockchain on the in the world. No one has been able to turn off in nearly 20 years. There's 21 million Bitcoin, as I mentioned. There's only about a million left to go. That's going to take about 100 years though, to get to 21 million. Because of the deflationary nature, every four years, the amount of bitcoin it's created is halved. Also, it is a hedge against inflation. This is where the big governments, the US government owns 1% of the Bitcoin supply. China owns bitcoin. Big institutions, microstrategy countries. Everyone is accumulating bitcoin because there's not enough assets to buy with the cash that's coming in. If you get something that's limited supply and you get a lot of demand, guess where it's going to.
