In this presentation Bill Canady walks viewers through the full suite of services offered by the 80/20 Institute, organized around the central "Command Center" concept. He explains that most clients start with the Profitable Growth Accelerator (PGA), a 100‑day, four‑step (Segment, Simplify, Zero‑Up, Growth) program designed to deliver a 30% profit improvement or at least a clear line‑of‑sight to that gain. The PGA feeds into the broader PGOS (Profit Growth Operations) framework, which comprises six core business functions (strategy, talent, growth, lean, etc.) and is supported by three communication channels: Slack, the 80/20 Institute (ETI) hub/library, and Google Workspace. Canady then outlines the additional, optional programs that can be layered on after the PGA: Scale – a year‑long strategic planning program that maps a 1,000‑day (3‑5 year) growth or exit plan through situation assessment, framework, business plan, and execution. Rainmaker Academy – sales training for manufacturing, distribution, and service firms, covering both outside and inside sales teams. Margin Multiplier – deep‑dive pricing work that builds on PGA pricing insights. Core Zero – overhead‑reduction initiatives targeting contracts, purchasing, footprint, etc. Profit Advisor Certification – a certification pathway to develop internal experts who can sustain the Institute’s methodologies. Commander Circle – tri‑annual two‑day CEO peer events with speakers and networking. Bill Command / Field Command – optional “done‑for‑you” onsite implementation support. He describes pricing options (quarterly vs. annual subscriptions, volume discounts) and sets expectations: the first year should yield 200–500 basis points of profit improvement or a clear line‑of‑sight, with the ultimate goal of making the business exit‑ready within three years. The audience is CEOs, leadership teams, and business owners who need turnaround, growth, or exit planning. The tone is informational and promotional, emphasizing the breadth, flexibility, and results‑driven nature of the Institute’s offerings.

Hello everyone. I'm Bill Canady. It's great to be with you today. I thought I would walk you through what the 80/20 Institute's overall programs are, just so you can understand the breadth and scope of what we offer here. Now you're coming in almost for sure through our PGA or Profitable Growth Accelerator program. And that's our foundational basic program to where you take a company and you're looking typically for one of 3 things. Either you need to turn the business around, so You have to fix it or potentially lose it. You're looking for more growth. You want to scale it up or you want to exit. You want to take and sell the business typically within 1,000 days, maybe 3 to 5 years, or it could be some combination of all those things. Fix it and get it prepared so you can go do what you want to do, either lifestyle or not. But we have a complete robust system for CEOs and leadership of teams to help you go through it. And so the way our program works is you come in and you get your foundational work, get the business ready. to scale. And typically that's around fixing the profitable growth issues that you have. You're just not making enough money or you don't have it aligned where you can grow from here. Let me just walk you through quickly what we have. We call the whole program the Command Center. You're the commander. And this is, if you think of it in military terms, kind of a CIC or a place where you can control everything. Your team gets to be part of this. You can have anyone in there or no one as you want. So the overall view is the Command Center. Is powered by our PGOS. So that's our Profit Growth Operations. That's our mechanism, which is made up of 6 things, everything from strategy to talent to growth to lean, you name it. It's the core features and functions that you need to run a business. And really, you need all of those, but you may need to focus in one of those. So for instance, if you're expanding into an area, you need to put a new factory in or a new warehouse, whatever. You're going to need lean to lay that out. You're going to need people to staff it. So we try to give you the tools so you can go and look at all those and you'll have access to your account manager, which is experts in the field you're looking at, as well as all the online training. You'll see that as you go through this onboarding process. So that's our mechanism. That's our toolset that we use. And then we use basically 3 things to communicate. One is Slack. That's our communication channel. You will sign up for that. You can use it 24 hours a day. We're typically on 9 to 5, sometimes much later than that. And we generally get back to you pretty quickly. That's our communication. Then we use the ETI or the 80/20 Institute. That's our hub. That's our library. That's where everything's housed. You can go get all the training off of that. And then we use Google Workspace just because a lot of these are generally very friendly and open for everyone. We love Microsoft systems and we use that as well, but that's generally more internal. Google ecosystem seems to be a little more open for folks. So the journey begins with PGA, as we said before, not to be confused with the golfing association. This is your headquarters for CEOs who Want to get focused, or leaders, business owners who want to get focused about what they're doing and have a playbook and a helping guiding hand between your coach and going to classes and offering it to everyone in your team. This should be the system that you can have a coach at your command. I didn't have this when I was starting out and I've ran several companies since then. I've started them, I've taken them over, been in private, public, private equity, and having someone you can rely on, someone that's got a toolset is a very powerful piece of it. So inside the command center, the Profitable Growth Accelerator, as we said before, that's our foundational, that's where Vast majority of people start. You can start with there and go to other programs, but we typically just talk about this so it's simple. Focus on one thing in one area, and it's designed to get rapid profit turnaround. And we use a 4-step model in here. Segmenting, which is identifying how things go together and what doesn't go together. Simplifying is what's important. Where are you making money? Where are you not? Focus on where you are. Zero up is around taking the resources and shifting those from where you're not making money to where you are. Typically we don't have extra money and we need to make sure that we utilize what we've got. And then finally, growth. Take that and go after it. And generally this program is 100 days long. We identify about 30% profit improvement. And that's a meaningful turnaround. Are you going to get 30% in 100 days? Well, maybe sometimes, but you should absolutely have line of sight to it. It really just depends on where you're getting it from. If it's pricing, it's quick. If it's overhead reduction, that can take a lot longer. If it's growth, it's whatever your customer cycle is. It goes based on your business, but coming out of that 100 days, you should have line of sight of how you're gonna get there. Our second program we called Scale, and that's really strategy. That's now that you know where you're going and what you wanna do, you gotta lay that plan out. And it's designed to lay out your 1,000 days or 3 years. Some people it's 5 years, some people want it shorter, but it's really designed around 4 key steps, which is situation assessment, framework, uh, business plan, and then action. So it's What's going on? What's changed? What's the framework or the outline to get you there? You build a business plan around it. That'll be appropriate to give to your board and your team. And then you execute that plan. Uh, that's a year long. You can go either by quarter on that and get each one done, or you can run it through the year. Once you're in the program where you want to stay, you can buy these things annually. You get some benefits, some really cool things by going annual, or you can just run it quarter to quarter. 100% up to you. The Rainmaker Academy. That is our sales program. We're focused on manufacturing, distribution, and service companies across a variety of industries. One of those is taking your outside team and getting them out there and just making better and more calls and doing straightforward work on that. Another piece of this is putting in an inside team to get after it. That's taking how companies that go to market through digital, they're selling digital products, we're borrowing some of that and putting it into this. It's unusual in our industry. But the processes have been around. We're really excited about these. So if this is, you, you want to get your sales team tuned up, we have training around that. We have experts in that to help you with it. And again, once you're in the program, all these available, you just pick and choose what you want. It's like going to a restaurant. You know, you're going to eat the food today. Maybe it's a hamburger tomorrow. Maybe it's a steak. We've got them in here. Once you're in, you can pick whichever direction that's appropriate for you. The Margin Multiplier, that's our pricing program. So it's going deeper around what the PGA is. So a lot of the PGA stuff, the quick ones around pricing, this is taking you really deep into that and doing a lot of VOC work and things like that. Pricing is our number one way for most all companies to see a really big benefit. Core Zero, that is an overhead reduction. It's looking at things from contracts, how you're doing those, to purchasing. to footprint, you name it, it's what's important for your business. But you take the data work that you did in the original PGA program and then start saying, okay, this is where I want to go. So what is it that I don't need? CoreZero is going to go in and help you get rid of that overhead with it. Profit Advisor certification, that's you identifying someone on your team that you want to make an expert in these processes. We have a certification program they can go through. It's included in your annual subscription. And we have subject matter experts to train you deeply on those as you go through it. But that's transferring our knowledge inside of your company. You still have access to our training. They'll be in there. They can talk and work with other people just like themselves, just as a CEO. And so it's kind of a cool program to get expertise in your house. The Commander Circle, 3 times a year we get together, the CEOs, and you can typically bring someone with you. And we meet those in Q1, Q2, and Q3. We typically don't do one in Q4 just because it's getting into the holidays, but it's really An opportunity to come in and meet and mingle with peers and people going through what you're going through. And we'll generally have some speakers. It's a 2-day event, 1 night, very powerful. I highly recommend it. It's included in that. You pay for yourself to get there and your room, and then we'll take care of the event. We tend to cycle that around. Bill Command is an optional add-on. Our program is designed to be, you can do it one of 2 ways. You can do it with you, done with you. That's our basic program. That's how we keep the cost down. But if you want it fully done for you, you can hire one of our guys to come out and actually do training onsite. It's available to you. It's optional. Some companies really want that. Some companies want to do it themselves. The guy you're talking to can be the guy that comes out and actually spends a couple of days with you. There's some discounts if you go with the annual program. There's also some discounts if you buy like 5 at a time, things like that. So it's really hands-off. It's very powerful. People love it. They really do. And then how do they all work together? So the PGA is all about standardizing and getting your foundation ready so you can grow off. It's kind of earning the right to win, if you will. I know you write your growth. Scaling's your strategy. This is where you going, how you gonna get there. This sets you up really well for, uh, getting ready to sell that business or do that transition. Rainmaker's about growth. Margin's about pricing. Core Zero, uh, is about overhead reduction. Profit's about getting experts inside of your company. The Commander Circle, uh, is the, uh, get together 3 times a year, generally in someplace cool. And Field Command is having someone come out in your business and work with you. The expectations is that the first year we're gonna see 200 to 500 basis points improvement or line of sight to it. Again, depends on your cycle of your business. And then as it goes on, it's really about you getting your business where it can operate at a much, much higher level than what it's been. You getting command and control of that business with it. And the ultimate goal is to be exit ready within 3 years. You're ready to exit this business. This is what it's getting ready for you to do, but it's Doesn't have to be that. It's whatever designs around you. So this is a big deal. It's about simplifying your business. It's about putting in disciplines. It's about using our tools and processes to go out there. You can do it 2 ways. Done for you. That's if you want someone to come out, that's extra. Or done with you, which is a basic program. You can go at your own speed and you can either buy it by the quarter, which is how you come in, or you can go annually and there's some additional benefits with that. I hope this was helpful. There's absolutely no obligation to do any of these. This is just designed to see what the full scope is. It's really powerful. People seem to love this. Reach out if you have any questions. Have a great day, everyone.
