If you're like me, you might be thinking things like, I'm not sure that I'm creative enough, I'm not sure that I have enough time, or I'm not an artist. I don't think I can do this. So those doubts are normal. I felt them too, and honestly, so does everyone else. But here's what I know to be true. You don't need to have it all figured out to start. All you need is the willingness to take that first step, and you're here. You don't need a fancy art degree or years of experience to get started. What I love the most about surface pattern design is that it meets you exactly where you are. It doesn't matter if you're just beginning, or juggling work and family, or wondering if it's too late. There is room for you in this industry, and there's room for your creativity.
