Hi, my name's Boyd, and on June 22nd, I'll be seeing the Foo Fighters in London. Now, that weekend has particular significance for my family and myself because 6 years earlier, on the 23rd of June, my younger sister had a seizure and died in her sleep. She was just 28 at the time. It would mean the world to us if Dave and the Foos could dedicate the song Walk to my sister Rebecca. It was her absolute favourite, and often in the car, if we were listening to Wasting Light together, we'd be chatting away, but as soon as Walk came on, conversation was out the window so she could rock out for the whole song uninterrupted. She loved music and she loved life, and as a child she used to play along on pots and pans, so the old man bought her a drum kit which we set up in my bedroom. I followed in her footsteps, and it's thanks to Rebecca that I became a full-time drummer myself. So it really is no exaggeration when I say that she shaped the very person that I've become. So Dave, should you see this, and if you can give a shout out to Rebecca Hayward in London on the 22nd, we'd be forever grateful.
