This is a video for the Fetiche Deroux Syndicate. Well, everyone, Radish has come back into work very well. We gave him about a month off. He basically went on vacation early November and came back into work early December. It was a well deserved vacation. He'd been working pretty hard all year since arriving in America and he looks good. I myself had a hip surgery about the same time, so I had a month off as well. And I'm just, just getting back into the swing of things now. I'm riding, but not as well as Silver Martin, who's the. The rider that you're seeing on top of Radish at the moment. It was a good opportunity, actually. Silver sort of sunk her teeth into him a bit, working on the flying changes and a couple of the more advanced movements in which we'll be faced with later this season. It's been bloody cold here the last 10 days, so we've basically just been trotting on the roads and doing flat work in the indoor. And we had a bit of a jump school actually, with Peter on Monday in the indoor. Up until there it's been pretty nice. We've been able to use our pond and then also been able to do these slow canters on the track. He's. He's already fit. He's up to three miles cantering slowly. We head to Aiken, I think, this weekend. So Radish will be down in South Carolina come Monday of next week and my plan is to run him at the two Pine Top horse trials, which is sort of early and late February. These will sort of be cross country schooling events. Obviously we want him to go well, but I won't be going for broke. His last event last year, if you remember, was bit of a mess at Malvern Park. It was very disappointing. We were faced with a horrendous course. So I'm going to start him off in a very easy grade, the first Pine Top, just to make sure he's bursting with confidence. And then I'll move him up to a higher level there at Pinetop. And then I think we'll probably end up doing the three star short at Chattahoochee Hills down in Georgia in early March. Peter Wild was great. He came up and gave all the horses a jump school on Monday. I sort of warmed him up. Peter did the jumping and then I did a bit of flat work and cooled them down as well. Radish jumped well. It was a very easy jump school for him. They weren't very big jumps. They were probably a meter 10. It was more just getting in the swing of things. We did a bit of a gymnastic line, this outside line. That is a very short three stride with a placing pole, which Radish was excellent at. Anyway. I think it's a very exciting year. It's going to be another developmental year for Radish. I think my big goal would be to potentially aim him for the three star long at the Bromont three day event. I think that's in June. By then he will be humming and we should be very, very competitive. Up until then, it's training, training and then a bit more training. But we're in good shape. We've got ourselves a good horse and 2025 looks like a fantastic year.
