This is a YouTube video titled "Bank robber shares his message to the world" containing an interview-style conversation where Peter Man, a former bank robber and photographer, discusses his life, his extensive collection of lifeboat photographs, and his reflections on sharing his work and experiences. The content features multiple speakers but does not include Brendan Kane.
I just had a question for you. I saw you were taking photographs and I just wondered, like, if you could reach a million people with a message, what would that message be?
Do it while you can.
Do it while you can.
Why would you say that when you're old, you can't?
And is that what you're doing now? You enjoy taking photographs?
Not really. My main hobby is the rnli, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and I go around the coast of Great Britain photographing the stations.
What is your most memorable photograph?
Can't answer the question. I've got 20,000 photographs. When I reach the end of the line on this earth and proceed to the next, my archive will go to the rnli, to their heritage. My collection will be preserved for.
I mean, I hope that that collection gets shared with the world. I mean, that you should have them put it on social media or on a website or something.
At the age of 87, computers I left behind 27 years ago when I retired. I am being dragged into the 21st century kicking and screaming. I feel the collection that I've built up over 63 years of photographing lifeboats in Great Britain. I haven't got a passport, so I can't go abroad because I've got a criminal record. I was known as a Peter Man. That is, the man who blows safes, drill holes in the hinges, put gel, ignite in and then run away and wait for the rain. But for what purpose? To see what's inside. Come on your bike.
