This is a YouTube video titled "Are You Really Ready To Trade Or Just Pretending?" containing a monologue or personal reflection by a single speaker discussing the challenges and mindset involved in becoming a proficient trader, emphasizing the importance of building a solid foundation and acknowledging the gap between experience and true skill development.
If I'm honest with myself, I'm still in grade school. I'm still in the amateur stage. There's no point in me trying to trade at an intermediate level or beyond. If I'm not really there yet, there's no point in lying to myself. And so it was really only when I got back to building that good, solid foundation with the core skills of being a successful trader, being a confident and competent proficient trader who's good at this. See, here's the thing. And I made the same mistake a lot of traders do. It's like I got into it. I learned a lot real fast. And I'm sure you have, too. But the thing is, even after a year, even after two years, even after five years, just because you got a lot of time in doesn't mean that you've gotten a whole lot better.
