A hedge fund operator explains how automating operations lets them swap components to prototype different trading strategies quickly. The system cuts down the time between idea and testing, letting them iterate on strategy designs without rebuilding from scratch each time.
My main objective at the very beginning was to automate anything I can. And ultimately in our hedge fund, we, we automate, we automated even the things that I never believe would be automated. The reason is that we really need to prototype a lot of strategies to find, find a few which will be viable. So that, that, that, that, that comes together with another part of my trading, which is having TR trading model, which, which I developed at the very beginning. And it's a simple model. And with this model I can just swap different rules or components and create a lot of variations of prototype strategies.
