This is a YouTube video titled "How much money should you be making in your trading?" containing a monologue or instructional talk from November 18, 2022, explaining how to calculate average returns per trade and emphasizing the importance of consistency in trading to maximize profits.
Okay, so how much money should you be making in your trading on a given month? All you need to do is, let's say over the month, you know, you place, you know, say, you know, 40 or 45 trades. You know, you had a handful of them where you're handing it all back to the markets because you weren't following your rules. But let's say out of the month, you know, you had 30 good trades where you actually followed your rules. And not just winners, but, you know, 30 trades where you followed your rules, and over those 30 trades, made 4,500 bucks. Cool. So now you can say your average return per trade is 4,500 divided by 30. That's 150 bucks per trade. Now, how much should you be making on any, like, given week? Well, if you're placing 10 trades per week times, you know, the 150 per trade average, when you follow your rules, should be making 1500 a week or about six grand a month. So this tells you right here real quick that, yeah, those trades where you're handing it back is costing you on average, about $1,500 a month. And so what you want to do is focus on eliminating the bad trades. And that's why I tell everybody, focus on consistency first, because that's where the money is going to be made.
