A trader reflects on how markets gave them the freedom to work from anywhere and set their own schedule. They describe the appeal of financial independence and living life on their own terms through trading.
So just because it was a big corporation and I had a salary paycheck that I still didn't feel secure at all. It's like, no, I want to have my own way to make money, not depending on anybody else. I want to be truly independent where I'm living my life on my terms. And that's really what independence is. That's when you set the terms for your life. You do what you want, when you want, where you want. That's the other thing about it was cool about trading when I started trading. So, yeah, go visit my sister on Mount I spent a week or two there, trade a couple hours a day and enjoy the beach and the island for the rest of the time. It's really cool. So that's the kind of independence that we want. We want autonomy and true control over our lives. That's really what we want. When we become traders.
