A trader explains why you need a backup plan if you get sick or can't trade. The key: someone who understands your systems well enough to manage your positions while you're gone.
The other thing I think that people don't plan for is when they're at a job, a lot of their insurances are considered and their income protection and things like whether you even have somebody to take over your role when you have a few sick days as a job employee compared to as a trader. If you have an extended period of time unwell, who knows where your trades are buried, who knows where the bodies are buried? You need to have somebody who knows all of your systems so that if you don't have auto stops, you have somebody that is aware of.
