This is a YouTube video titled "Psychology of Trading Forex - A Critical Matter For Traders That Gets Neglected" created in October 2010. The content features Brian McAvoy from Inside Out Trading delivering a monologue focused on the importance of maintaining life balance to reduce stress and improve consistency in trading, especially for aspiring traders. He emphasizes avoiding information overload and encourages focusing on current priorities while also inviting viewers to contact him for further help.
You. Hi, Brian McAvoy here with Inside Out Trading. And today I've got just a simple reminder of something that really is absolutely critical for traders. But unfortunately, it really does fall to the wayside just way too much. The reason it's important is because if you do allow it to fall to the side for you, the first thing that you're going to encounter is a lot of stress. Partially as a result of the stress, you're also going to find that your results, your consistency just kind of really starts to wane, your confidence gets bad, your results overall, things just kind of start circling the drain. Here's what I'm talking about. Like I said, it's really important that you do pay attention to this. This, this being Friday afternoon really is the perfect time to be reminding you about it. And it really is keeping in mind to keep your life in balance when you're trading, especially when you're an aspiring trader. It's so easy for your life to get out of balance and you feel like you just really have to. You got to put in those extra hours, you got to keep reading all those books or poking around the forums or doing all this stuff. And you're subjecting yourself not only to a lot of additional work mentally, but you're contributing to the information overload that you probably already have experienced. That's not beneficial. What you need to do is make sure that you're focusing on the things that you need to focus on at the time and not try to absorb everything when it comes to trading. It's a huge body of knowledge and you don't want to try to just take it all in at once. Like I said, the information overload is so easy to fall into. Make sure that you're focusing on what you need to focus on right now, where you are right now. If you'll do that and just focus on that and then detach and step away from your trading when you need to, both physically and mentally and just allow yourself to be a person, not a trader. You'll find that that really is very helpful and it goes a long way toward improving your consistency and resulting in your progress overall as a trader. Of course, if you need any help with anything, just send me an email. Let me know how I can help you. BrianSideoutTrading.com just come by the site InsideOutTrading.com, click on Contact. Brian, poke around while you're there. Like I said, let me know how I can help you best right now in your trading. Hope you have a great weekend. Cheers.
