A speaker explains why hoarding cash hurts your business and how to deploy capital strategically instead. The focus is on maximizing returns through smart spending rather than just preserving money.
The other thing that you learn in running your own business is preservation of capital. The other thing is, and this one I just got reminded of lately, and I was so thrilled to hear somebody else say it. And for the reminder, especially when you're starting off small, especially when you're starting off, the goal isn't necessarily to save money. It's to learn how to spend it properly to make you money. So you get, you don't sit there and just try to be tight about everything. It's like, where can I go ahead and deploy what I've got? And deploy it in a manner that leverages things and gets me a proper return for both my time and my money. So you get wise with going ahead and using your resources. You don't try to. And the, the example the guy used, he's like, you know, if, if the business you're looking at building is only going to pay, you know, or it's going to generate 50,000 a year in revenue and you got a 50 margin, you're only going to make 25, 000 a year, you're better off working at Starbucks.
