One of my favorite books from the business world that applies absolutely to trading is the Peter Principle. And the Peter Principle states, in any organization, a person will rise to their level of incompetence and then remain there. Basically, it's just saying that, you know, if you're smart, if you have ability, if you know you have aptitude, that you're going to continue to rise up through the ranks of wherever you are until you hit that level where you just plain. You're kind of tapped out. The thing is, with trading, it's like we take the fast track to that level because we immediately jumped into something that we don't have proper training for. And that was the solution of the Peter Principle was make sure that if you're going to put a person into a new position, make sure that they have the skills for it first. Get them the training and then they'll be okay. They'll continue to rise. If you just throw them in there without the training, it's not going to work. And this is why it applies to traders.
