Trading Mindset: A Helpful Perspective

This is a YouTube video titled "Trading Mindset: A Helpful Perspective" created in June 2023. The content features a single speaker sharing insights on trading psychology, emphasizing the importance of focusing on opportunities rather than expenses to improve mindset and trading consistency. The speaker also offers practical advice and promotes a service to help traders achieve more consistent results.
You know, I got reminded of a wisdom that I heard a while back, but I got reminded of it this morning. I thought it was worth sharing with you because from a psychological standpoint, it's really important that you kind of be aware of how big you're thinking and where your focus is going. And here's what I'm talking about. The quote that I reference is it goes something like this. Don't focus on expenses, focus on opportunities. Now it sounds, you know, pretty straightforward, but if you think about it from a mindset perspective, it's really powerful. And here's just, you know, energetically, if you're into manifestation, law of attraction, that kind of stuff, or even if it's just general focus and general mindset, it's still applicable. And here's really where it comes into play. If you're focusing on your expenses and your bills and the, you know, the things that bring pressure and they're coming from a negative place and any kind of, any kind of fear, even if it's small, that's not going to be helpful for you in your trading. But if you're focusing on opportunities, your opportunities usually will cover your expenses if you're doing it right. And the, the thing is you want to have yourself in expansion mode, in forward moving mode, and what do you want to gravitate toward? And so, and you know, just expansive thinking and also just again from an energetic level, if you focus on your expenses, that's, that's a lower energy, not going to be great for creating, manifesting positive things. But if you're focusing on opportunities and okay, yeah, how can I make my trading better? How can I be more consistent? How can I manage myself better? How can I make it more fun? How can I just plain get better at it? And those are your kind of, those are the kind of questions that you're asking yourself. Well then it's going to be much more beneficial and make your training probably much more productive, help you be more resilient to market moves that don't work out, you know, the times when we're wrong, okay, and it happens, but just in general, like I said that one little phrase, you know, focus on opportunities, not expenses. It can be very powerful if you keep it in mind. Again, from a mindset perspective, how am I approaching the world? How am I approaching this moment? How am I approaching my day? And you know, it's amazing how, you know, sometimes just little things can have, you know, a lot, you know, big impact. One of my favorite ones was Dan Millman who was Approached by a kid who'd seen one of his talks. And the kid says, you know, that was really fantastic. But, you know, what can you give me for a doll? I can't afford your course. What can you make for a dollar? So Daniel stepped back and he thought, well, all right, I'll give you six words here and now, breathe and relax. And it's amazing if you can just do that, you know, maybe you're caught up in something. You find out that you caught up too much in your thoughts or whatever, and you just did those six words, here and now, breathe and relax. And it can be wonderfully refreshing and bring you back to the present moment. So, you know, when it comes to the trading, you know, psychology of trading, sometimes the little things can be very helpful. So for today, focus on opportunities, not expenses. And, you know, as far as expenses, unnecessary expenses, yes, avoid them, eliminate them where you can. That's just a good practical thing. But otherwise, also, as far as opportunities, you know, where can you be investing in yourself? Where can you be investing in your trading to make things better? So, yeah, you put some time, maybe put some money into it, but you're getting a positive return. Cool. Anyway, hope this has been helpful. If it has, give me a like and a comment down below. And of course, you know, if you have friends who trade, share this with your friends. Anyway, again, I hope this helps. Talk to you soon. Cheers.
