This is a YouTube video titled "Trading Psychology - Why Courage Is A Huge Red Flag" featuring Brian McAvoy from Inside Out Trading. In this video from July 2010, Brian discusses the concept of trading with courage, explaining why it is a warning sign and emphasizing the importance of replacing fear with confidence through a systematic trading approach.
You. Hi, Brian McAvoy here with Inside Out Trading. And today's topic is Trading with Courage. And how if you are trading with courage, that should really be a big red flag and a warning sign to you that you need to do something about your trading. Here's what I'm talking about. Courage, by definition, is when you are operating from a position of fear and you're acting in spite of those fears. And that really is not how you want to trade because it leaves you so open to all sorts of other emotions coming in and affecting your decision making. Now, what you want to do is replace those fears with confidence. The two are not. They're mutually exclusive. You can't be confident and fearful at the same time. So what you want to do, again is replace the fears with confidence. Now, how do you get that confidence if you don't have it? Well, the process that I use is to simplify, organize and systemize. And it's part of treating your trading as a business. In essence, when people talk about treating your trading as a business, what they're referring to is process and the elements that really go into truly treating your trading as a real business, not just a way to make money. Now, to find out more about what those elements are and the process that's involved, I've got a video you can watch. It's called Trading as yous Business. We talk about various aspects of Trading as yous Business, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And it'll also show you how you can really replace your fears with confidence and trade without the need for courage because those fears have been eliminated and replaced with confidence. So, again, my name is Brian McAvoy with Inside Out Trading. I'm here to help you. Cheers.
