A trader reflects on lessons from year one, emphasizing self-awareness and how outside perspectives improve performance. They introduce the Trader Scorecard, a tool to identify your own trading limitations.
My first year of trading I was trying to train myself and I didn't know what I was doing. And so what I learned out of that first year, one of the biggest lessons I learned was I was my own limitation. I didn't know what I didn't know and I couldn't see what I couldn't see. And so I was not able to move beyond my own self. And it was only when I looked beyond myself and I got help and some perspectives from outside of myself that I was finally able to move beyond it and turn a corner and get trading working right. And so the same thing is for you. You really want to be on a quest to. Yes. Find out you know, what it is that you need, what is you're missing, what are your blind spots, what are the limitations that you're not aware of and then you can act on them and get move beyond your own limitations and level up your trading and get it performing the way you want. And that's really cool. Now to help you do this, I created a Trader Scorecard. It's a self assessment and just in the questions alone, you're going to see what it is that you're missing.
