What is going on? Thank you for joining me today. It's Brian Gubernick, and welcome to the No Days Off podcast, where we believe that every single day represents an opportunity to get better. Let's get into it. Today we're going to be discussing leadership and what I believe to be the single greatest thing we can all do if we intend to become better leaders. No days off means getting better at something every day. Today we're going to get better at leadership by doing, uh, one simple thing. May not be all that easy to implement in our respective worlds, but it is a simple task. All of us are leading. All of us are leading our families, Some of us are leading businesses. We are leading small teams or big teams. We're leading our peers. We're leading our siblings. We are leading. Every single day, you are leading someone. And I define leadership really simply. I define leadership as influence. Leadership is influence. You are either influencing people in a positive direction or you're influencing people in a negative direction or no direction at all, regardless, you are leading them, right? So I look at leadership as influence. I think the single greatest thing that we can all do to become better leaders is to model the behavior expected of those we are leading. Model the behavior expected of those we are leading. If you're leading a family, if you have kids, and you want to lead them in a positive direction, they're, they're certainly looking up to their parents as role models. Like it or not, they're looking at you as a role model. That word model, of course, is in there. So how you show up, how you carry yourself, what you say, what you do, your actions or inaction is influencing that child. If you want to influence that child in a positive direction, you've got to model the behavior that you expect of them. Same goes if you're leading a company. If you want the people you're leading within that company, if you want your employees or partners within that company to perform a certain way, to act a certain way, to carry themselves a certain way, then you have to display it. It is on you to show up and display and model the behavior expected of everybody else around you. This applies obviously all throughout business, all throughout life. It's a burden. It is a big burden, right? And we're not always going to be able to show up exactly how we'd like to show up. But of course, if you don't show up properly, how you respond, how you apologize, how you correct is again modeling a certain behavior, right? So remember, as a leader, you have the tall task of modeling the behavior that you want those around you to emulate. So the focusing question today, what I want everybody to think about today, is how are you modeling the behavior expected of those around you? How could you improve your modeling? How could you raise your leadership lid by modeling a, a certain behavior or a different behavior? Reflect on how you're showing up and determine if you in fact have to make some tweaks or some changes. And in the spirit of No Days Off, figure out what that one thing is today, the thing that you could spend 1 minute or 5 minutes or 10 minutes on today that would improve your game a slight bit and make you that much better a leader. That's all we have for, for today, the No Days Off podcast. Thank you so much for listening. And remember, every single day brings a new opportunity to get better. So let's go get after it. Thank you.
