I Want a "Conscious" Partner! What does that mean? How do we get there?

A conscious partner means someone self-aware and intentional across mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical life. You have to become conscious first. That means identifying your flaws, taking full responsibility for your thoughts and actions, living authentically, and accepting yourself completely. Affirmations and books won't cut it.

A partner who responds to life with intention and purpose rather than reacting through their unhealed emotional wounds. There's a reason I desire a conscious partner. Am I willing to put in the effort required in order to attract what it is that I seek? Being truly conscious is not for the faint of heart. Hopes and prayers are not going to get me there. Watching self-help videos, reading books, or attending the guru's next weekend event is not going to get me there. Affirmations, quotes, and mantras are all just platitudes and hollow words that are not going to get me there. There's only one way to get there. I must look deep inside and truly get to know myself. I must understand myself. I need to discover my weaknesses and all the less desirable traits that may need some adjusting. I will need to first recognize my own flaws, my own behaviors, my own patterns. I can't make changes until I become aware of what it is that I need to change. I'll need to take responsibility for my thoughts and my words and my actions. There's nobody else to blame for the thoughts I have, the words I say, and the actions that I have taken. I'm the one who's made I will need to accept that my flaws are real, that nobody's perfect, and that life isn't always fair, but it does give opportunity to everyone who's willing to take the leap of faith and live it. Everything must align— my thoughts, my words, my actions, my intentions, my effort, and my humility. Knowing, understanding, and examining every aspect of myself will get me started. It's complete awareness that will allow me to take down the walls around my heart. It's the forgiveness of others that will allow me to release my many burdens. It's truly forgiving myself that will finally allow my mind to rest. It's the sincere and complete acceptance of me that will allow me to be both a conscious partner And to find the person who will accept me for who I truly am. It's only once I completely accept myself, who I am, where I am, and how I got here, that I can either take the steps needed to make the adjustments that I want to make, or appreciate and embrace the parts of the real me that I either can't or don't want to change. I am who I am. If I'm not proud of who I am, then I need to make changes. If I am proud of who I am, Then why am I so afraid to put myself out there and be the real me?
