Tutorial on how I paint Van Gogh's Starry Night. First, paint the base color with darker shade of blue and green. Let it dry, then add a lighter blue in a swirly motion. Then add a light yellow for the stars. The technique here is to paint it with broken strokes like this. I'm using a gouache, so you must start with darker color to lighter paint for the highlight. If you're done with the sky, let it dry, then add the tree in a darker shade of green. This part is a little bit tricky. First thing you do is to outline the houses with a dark blue paint. Next, add the lighter blue and add the outline. Add a lighter shade of green in the tree and little bit of yellow. And lastly, you're done. Don't forget to sign your masterpiece.
