Bryan Cressey, co-founder of four private-equity firms, separates winners from victors: winners don't need losers to succeed. He lists five traits: joy and positivity, creating other winners, loving and helping others, seeking win-win outcomes, and gratitude that spreads to everyone around them.
I'm Bryan Cressey. What is a winner? My definition might surprise you. Winners have remarkable lives. How? Winners do not want to win at the expense of others. They seek win-win outcomes, not win-lose. Here are the 5 attributes that define a winner.
Bryan Cressey, co-founder of 4 of the most successful private equity firms in the United States, is one of the country's greatest investors. He's an innovative builder of companies and leadership talent, and he wants to help you become financially successful, personally fulfilled, and enthusiastic about life.
First, a winner has a life filled with joy and positivity. and enthusiasm. Secondly, winners seek to create many other winners. Third, a winner's joy comes from loving, helping, and inspiring others. Fourth, true winners seek to create win-win outcomes, not win-lose. And 5th, inside their head and their heart. A winner is filled with gratitude for the wonderful people and opportunities in their own world. They are filled with the spirit of positivity and of possibilities for their life, eagerness at what they might accomplish to improve the lives of others. And improve our world. This is a winner. This is not a victor, which must have an associated loser. Life is not a zero-sum game. We live in a world of positive possibilities, and a winner creates many other winners by helping and inspiring people to have a remarkable life. Winners win more often because they are win-win people, not in spite of being win-win people. Finally, a winner lives in love, which is positively contagious and creates world-improving miracles.
