Bryan Johnson says his DNA methylation test shows he's aging 31 years slower than normal, making his body younger than a 10-year-old's. His liver enzymes are the best he's seen for a 49-year-old, and his VO₂ max puts him in the top 1.5% of 18-year-olds. He cautions that DNA methylation tests aren't reliable yet for most people.

We like looking at this DNA methylation speed of aging score. It looks at your body's, you know, tree rings, a couple drops of blood and you can look at your DNA methylation patterns and look at how fast you're aging. I've reduced my speed of aging the equivalent of 31 years and my body is now accumulating aging damage slower than the average 10 year old. Okay, so let's just say DNA methylation tests are garbage. They're not ready for prime time yet. Let's go to something like Liver Enzymes. If you look at my liver enzymes, I'm 49. I've yet to find someone who has a better liver enzyme profile. We know Liver enzymes has a lot of good Data. We know, for example, VO2 max is a strong predictor of longevity. I'm in the top 1.5% of 18 year olds. No matter how you want to look at blueprint, we have 15 to 20 data points that roughly say the same thing. I'm in pretty good health.
