In this interview excerpt, Bryan Johnson describes his typical breakfast, which consists of cauliflower, broccoli, black lentils, ginger, garlic, and hemp seeds. He also addresses a listener's curiosity about his chocolate consumption, indicating that despite a generally low-sugar diet, he includes a portion of dark chocolate in his daily meals.
We haven't spoke about that yet. But what is in one of your. One of the, one of the meals that you have throughout the day?
Yeah. Breakfast is cauliflower, broccoli, black lentils, ginger, garlic, hemp seeds.
And then tell me about the one that's got chocolate in it because I think people might think you never have anything sweet, but you do have some chocolate.
I do. I have 15 grams a day of 100% dark, undutched, tested for heavy metal, high polyphenol count chocolate and it's bitter. And if someone is accustomed to milk chocolate, it can be a surprise taste. But the bitterness is amazing. And so sometimes I'll pair the chocolate with my vegetables. It's a pairing that's surprising to many people, but the bitterness does really well. And then sometimes I'll put it in this other nutty pudding mix which is nuts and berries. But yeah, 15 grams a day and it's an absolute delight.
