Bryan Johnson explains why the sun matters and how to enjoy it safely. Use mineral sunscreen for broad UVA/UVB protection, avoid peak UV hours, or bring a UV umbrella. The goal is balance: enough sun for health, not so much that you raise cancer risk.

I love the sun. I'm grateful for the sun. Without it we would all be dead. One is I use a mineral based sunscreen. It is less likely to be absorbed through the skin. It has UVA and UVB protection. It also is more environmental friendly. Now if you don't like sunscreen and you think they're the worst thing ever, I would encourage you to try to avoid high UV index times of the day because we know excessive sun exposure can lead to cancer. Spend time in the sun in the early mornings and late in the afternoon. If you're out in the sun during the day with high UV index, you can use a UV protectant umbrella just like this guy. If you want to wear sunscreen, you want to choose the right one. If you're swimming, playing sports or if you're in an ocean environment and you want to be marine friendly. So in summary, too much and too little of the sun is not good. You want just the right amount like Goldilocks. Long live vampires.
