One reason why we've been so successful is I'm potentially the most measured person in all of history. One easy and low cost method you can do to start measuring your body is a blood glucose monitor. You can put this patch on your arm, which it stays in days, you can work out with it, you can shower with it, and it measures your blood glucose continuously. And so what it does is it helps you create intuitions on how your blood glucose responds to the things you're eating and also your daily lifestyle. For me personally, developing intuitions on what foods do with my blood glucose are really helpful. So, for example, if you have a bagel for breakfast, you're going to see your blood glucose spike. If you have something like the Green Giant, it's not going to spike.
