Bryan Johnson wore a continuous glucose monitor for 10 days and kept his blood sugar in the 70-125 mg/dL range 94% of the time, with readings staying within a tight 30 mg/dL band. He credits his Blueprint diet for the stability and notes the sensor caused discomfort when sleeping on his side.

All right, today I'm finishing up my 10 day course with a blood glucose monitor. You basically put this into your arm. There's a needle that sticks into your skin and then it takes readings of your blood glucose at certain intervals. And what it does is it shows your blood glucose over a 24 hour period. So these are the results from the last seven days. Let me show you a trend graph. So what we're looking for is you want your blood glucose to be steady throughout the day. You don't want to eat things that make it spike. If you spike up to 200, for example, that's in the diabetic range. My total blood glucose from my lowest state to my highest state is 30. And so it's a really tight band. And that's what the Blueprint diet is meant to do, is keep my blood glucose steady all the time. Wearing this device is a little bit uncomfortable when I sleep at night because I'm on my side. I just feel the needle being stabbed further into the skin, skin. So I'm really happy that I'm finished with this. Here we go, little guy.
