Bryan Johnson describes his Blueprint longevity program, which he says has slowed his aging to a 10-year-old's rate. He uses alpha-estradiol, a non-feminizing estrogen applied as a topical cream, at about 4 g weekly. Animal studies suggest it can extend male lifespan, though he notes the research is still frontier work.

Blueprint is designed to achieve perfect biomarkers and to slow your speed of aging as much as possible. Mine, for example, has been slowed by the equivalent of 31 years. I now age at the speed slower than the average 10 year old. Now, while we focus primarily on the basics of sleep and diet and exercise, we also do things on the very cutting edge. This here is alpha estradiol. It's a non feminizing form of estrogen. I applied this cream to my body 4 grams per week and and it's been shown to increase lifespan in males. We have been testing serum testosterone and estrogen levels. We've also been monitoring for other side effects. Currently none seen. These are the kinds of things we do on the frontier of Blueprint. Once we're able to assess their safety and efficacy and also measure their effect, hopefully it's beneficial for the broader community for others to also trial this. Stay tuned for our updates.
