Bryan Johnson created Blueprint to fix his own life. He was stressed from raising three kids, running a company, and a decade of depression. Every night at 7 p.m. he'd eat chocolate brownies to cope, so he built a system to stop that cycle.
So take us back to the beginning. All the way back to the beginning of Blueprint. What is it? And why did you decide to build it?
There were a few reasons why. First was to solve my own problem. At 7pm every night, in order to soothe life's stresses, I would overeat, and I was powerless to stop doing this. And so I had three little babies. I was running a company. I had been dealing with chronic depression for a decade. I was leaving a religion I was born into. So a lot of things were really stressful.
And.
By the time 7pm arrived, I was just out of energy. And I would feel a lot of pain and a lot of stress. And then I would think, oh, those brownies.
Chocolate. Chocolate brownies.
One evening I said, evening, Brian. You make my life miserable. You're fired.
