Bryan Johnson compares vaping and nicotine pouches. Vaping heats e-liquids into aerosols containing toxic compounds, heavy metals like nickel and lead, and flavoring agents linked to lung disease. Nicotine pouches cause gum recession and oral lesions. Both are highly addictive. Johnson recommends using neither.

Which one is worse, vaping or nicotine pouches? Let's dig in. Vapes create an aerosol that you inhale by heating up e liquids or vape juice. When that juice is heated up, it can create toxic carbinols which are linked to airway and cardiovascular toxicity as well as long term lung damage. Some vapes have flavoring chemicals like diacetyl which has been linked to lung disease. Studies have also found heavy metals such as nickel and lead in vape juices. On the other hand, nicotine pouches have exposed exploded in popularity. They don't contain tobacco leaves but if it's used in the same place it can cause gum recession, oral lesions and irritation. Nicotine is not some harmless productivity hack. It is a highly addictive chemical. It acts quickly on the brain's reward system and creates a short term boost in focus and also has a calming effect. But the trade off is addiction and you lose your autonomy. If I had to choose between a vape and a negative pouch, I would choose both and throw them in the trash. Don't do it friends.
