Hi, I'm Beverly Simpson, former fitness manager turned online personal training business owner. And this podcast is where smart fitness professionals, including trainers and clinicians, discover how to increase client performance and movement, package and position their products and services and get out of their own way so that they can increase their revenue to live a life that they love without sleazy sales. Welcome to the PT Profit Podcast. What's up coach? Thank you so much for pushing play on another episode of the PT Profit Podcast. I'm your host, Beverly Simpson, and if this is the first time you are pushing play and hanging out with me today, thank you so much for hanging out. I'm super pumped to bring this episode to you. Today we're talking about the four four ways to quantum leap your business. So first of all, if I'm speaking a little quietly, it's because it's 7:30 in the morning in this weird interim week between Christmas and New Year where it kind of seems just like a long ongoing day and no one really knows what they're doing. They're just kind of some people are still working, some people are going back to work for a few days, the kids are off of school and it's just this kind of odd week. I love it. It's personally my one of my favorite weeks of the year because it's the awesome. It's the best time where we get to sit and reflect on everything that we've accomplished the previous year, the previous week, the previous quarter, and really get set up for success in the next year. And I'm speaking quietly because my kids, Even though it's 7:30 in the morning, I've already worked out, I've already gone for a walk and I got home and the house is still qu quiet and typically my kids are up at 6am so I've actually tried to record this episode for a couple of days now, but I hadn't found the time to sit down and actually get it out there where there wouldn't be any kids. And honestly, by the time we finish this episode, I can't promise that these kids aren't going to come down and you'll hear some hustling and bustling. But this episode is important enough that I'm willing to take on the risk and really get this out to you because this episode really is inspired by the live training that I did over on my Instagram, that Make Money now series was inspired by my years of experience in just honestly, the struggle. And I'm stepping into a level of overflow and abundance this year and, and stepping into expansion. That's my word. My word for 2021 was, was love. I wanted to do what I loved and I said and I wanted to really just grow in love for my business, for myself, for my relationships. And I feel like that is going to be an ongoing process for sure. But I really did embrace that in 2021. This year, I'm going to step into expansion, which honestly is what inspired this episode. Because when I look back on all of my years of struggle, honestly, I want to help you move through that faster. I don't want you to struggle as long as I did. I want you to quantum leap. And it's really going to come down to the invisible components as well as the visible components. And I feel like so many people in our industry, in the per. In the marketing industry, in the personal development industry, we just tend to be extremists and dogmatic, meaning that you'll hear a lot of invisible components and manifestation and it all lives in this holistic, spiritual world. And it. And it can feel like it's in the clouds. And then there's no rubber meets the road, no strategy, no inspired action, which we're going to get into. And then you have the opposite end extreme, which is all, bro, marketing strategy, do this or not. And that has its place and serves its purpose as well. But the truth is that you have to find your way, just like what we do for our clients or we help them find their metabolic Goldilocks experience, we have to find what works best for them. And the same is true in business. Now, the truth is, a lot of the basic fundamental principles, especially in business building, it does apply to many. But the visible components that you can't see, they matter. They matter enough. Which is why you see so many people continue to struggle. Have you ever wondered, people say all the time, information is abundant, information is abundant. So why is it that one person can go through the exact same course and program as you and have completely different results? And now if you're sitting here listening to that and that starts to get that pit in that stomach and you're feeling like, oh my gosh, why me? How can I ever do this? Right? First of all, I'm just going to tell you, I get it, I've been there. But also, just a quick reframe, I want you to think about this for a second and recognize that that's actually a good thing. This is why stepping into abundance is so important. Because if we all can go through the same thing, the same training, but have completely different internal context boxes and serve people in, in a way that is only unique to us, that is a good thing. That is exactly why there is plenty for everyone. That is why market saturation is actually a myth. And what we're really looking at is messaging sophistication. So let's dive into what it actually takes to Quantum Leap to grow. Because if you're anything like me, you might be taking this week. So really just reflect on the year past and get set up and excited for 2022. Because there are both invisible and visible tangible components. So let's dive in. The first thing you need to do to Quantum Leap your business is decide and declare it. Really? Seriously? No, it sounds so simple. But really think about it. What is it that you want? If. If I could sit here with you right now and just press the erase button and you ask yourself if what I. What would you truly want? If no one you knew or loved or anyone thought anything bad? If you knew, knew that nothing bad was going to happen to you, that no one was going to say anything to you, what is it that you really want? What happens to so many people is that we have these big, hairy, scary goals, these pie in the sky dreams. And then our brain comes in, takes over and says, yeah, it's not possible for you. Experience is a double edged sword. This is probably why I love to work with people who are, who might not necessarily be at the beginning, beginning, beginning. By the way, this is why I love to work with the people who are super committed and the people that are, that have seen struggle. Because half the time, I would even say 80% of the time it's releasing what it takes is releasing all of the evidence that we've had of things not going the way we wanted it to go. And what we're really dealing with is a lot of scarring. So if you knew nothing bad was going to happen to you, if you knew that everything you wanted was absolutely possible, what would it be? And another way to really gut check this is when you spend some time dreaming into that question. On a scale of 1 to 10, how serious or how possible does that goal seem to you? If it is anything below an 8, one of two things needs to happen. We either need to lower the goal so that it becomes an eight or we need to release all of the reasons why we think that's not possible for you because then what often happens to so many people? Honestly, the people who I have seen struggle the most are often the people who are waffling on a decision because we have all this evidence that stacks up against why we can't do it, all the reasons why it's not possible. Or we end up searching for the right way, the best way, the best offer, the right offer. And what ends up happening is we end up staying in a state of indecision. And the truth of the matter is that indecision is still a decision. That is what's honestly sucking your energy is when you are waffling. And for those of you who know the enneagram, I am encounter phobic 6. So believe you me that when that I fall into this trap, I often let my brain goes crazy and it looks at all angles, which is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in the sense that chances are I've done it, chances are I've gone through it, I've looked at all the angles, I'm looking at ways that I can mitigate risk, but the curse is that I can't. Sometimes I struggle to step into the decision and letting the chips fall where they may. I am someone that wants to that's searching for the right best answer. So if that's you, you're not alone. I know those feelings intimately, but I actively spend time getting committed to the decision I'm going to make. And I going to encourage you. If you are a CEO, if you are a personal trainer, a health coach, a nutritionist, and you are building your own business, you are a CEO. Now, schools don't teach you that, but you are a CEO. And a CEO's visionary primary job is to make decisions. And the faster you can make a decision, the further faster you're going to grow. Why? Because decision means to decide to stop. And when you make the decision and you go all in and you execute, you're going to get the outcomes and the outcomes are going to give you the insight on what your best next steps are. Whether it works and you just grow and grow and grow, which is amazing, or you need to stop, look at the data and make a different decision. Regardless, whatever you're doing right now though, whether you are waffling and you are indeciding or you're making a decision you're executing or you're making a decision and second guessing yourself, it's all decisions. These are all things that you are doing either consciously or unconsciously. And the more you can bring your awareness to your decision making and running the play. The faster you're going to get results, the faster you're going to get outcomes, you'll get more outcomes, which inevitably means that you will get your success faster. Then the second step to quantum leap year your business is to believe that it is already done. Now I alluded to this a little bit earlier when I was talking about making a decision and really gut checking with yourself and asking yourself, do I believe that this is possible? Because chances are if you're anything like me, your brain has a ton of evidence and your ego is going to step in to keep you safe and say wait, wait, wait, no, no, no, we're not about that. We don't do that. That's not who we are. So in order to circumvent that, in order to move through that, in order to change the identity, in order to change that paradigm, you must operate from believing that it is already done. When I look at the most successful CEOs that are out there and I have conversations with them, they're not spending their energy or their time or their brain power in the possibility of what if it goes wrong. They are making decisions and operating from the success is inevitable. And for someone who likes to mitigate risk, this is challenging. It is challenging, challenging, challenging. The other thing I've noticed from being around successful millionaire CEOs both in the online space and also in building businesses in brick and mortar style and selling them. What I've noticed, even if the and Even amongst the CEOs that are spiritual and woo and interpersonal development and ones that are not, they still practice this principle of believing that it is already done. Why? Because they have the confidence in themselves to know that they will land on their feet no matter what the outcomes are. Look at all the famous CEOs that we know to date. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey. I mean these people did not just decide to start a business in their first business, make multiple millions of dollars. No, it took a lot of skill acquisition, it took a lot of lessons, it took a lot of favorite, a lot of failures. I mean there's a reason why the underdog story is the one that is, is that everyone resonates with because so many people, when they're, no matter what it is, no matter where they're starting, often feels like the underdog. They often feel like the underdog story because they are comparing their day one to someone else's day 100 or even someone's day 100 against someone's day 1000, and they start playing things in their mind like, oh, it should already be done by now. I should be farther along than I am. And that type of thinking is going to elicit a feeling of lack. It's going to elicit a feeling of never enough. There's always more. And my friends and coach, I'm telling you, that is going to be the fastest race to the bottom. Because no matter how much money you make, no matter how fast your business grows, it will never feel enough and it will never feel fulfilling. It's like your clients that tell you, as soon as I lose the last ten pounds, I'm gonna be happy. And they just never are. So you need to believe it is already done and step into those feelings of what that will mean for you, what becomes possible, why that's important, and act as if it's all ready done. Honestly, this is one of the most powerful things I could give you and also for your clients, because think about your behavior. Yeah, you sometimes might feel demotivated and don't want to hang out, don't want to go to the gym, don't want to. Don't want to work out. But then you get there and you do it and you feel so much better. You operate from a belief that you are healthy and fit. You make decisions from knowing that it is already done without even thinking about it. Your clients need to do the same thing in order to really step into true behavior change. Imagine what their life is going to be like when they make decisions and operate from a place of it is already done. You need to do the same thing in your business. And here's the caveat to that. Right? Is that if you have this hairy, scary goal and you're looking at the top of a mountain and you're like, it's the top of Mount Everest. I'm never going to get there. That goal is just going to never. It's not going to feel achievable. You won't make decisions from knowing. You won't take the actions from knowing that it is already done. Because you're going to be saying things like, yeah, it's just not possible for me. I'm never going to get there. It's too far. But when you start looking at that Mount Everest goal and you start realizing that the actions you took at the bottom of the mountain, this one foot in front of the other, one hand in front of the other, was exactly the same pattern movement that you took at the bottom of the mountain that you will take at the Top of the mountain. But your challenges will just be different at every summit level. Same thing is true with your business building, but it comes down to your belief in knowing that it is already done. But if you're constantly focusing on the gap, you're just going to get more gap. So quantum leap it and really step into knowing and ask yourself, who do I need to be whatever that goal is. If you're literally, if you're literally looking at this goal of $1 million and you wake up every morning and say, what does million dollar CEO do? What does the million dollar coach do every day and all that, yeah buts that are coming in. This is separate. That's a separate podcast and we can talk about how to clear those. But just ev. But, but change the thought, just feel it, experience it, know. Okay, thank you for keeping me safe, brain. But I'm stepping into the decision that the million dollar CEO is going to make. And I say million dollar because that's my goal. It could be 250, the hundred thousand CEO. It doesn't matter. The revenue goal is not, is not the, is, is not the marker. It's whatever goal you want for yourself. And then the third, the third component to quantum leaping your business is answering all the unanswered how to questions. This is the strategy. This is where rubber meets the road. And more importantly, when it comes to strategy, it's really determining and figuring out the business model and strategy that's going to work best for you. Because the truth is that everything works. Honestly, a great offer with great messaging works and it's really about fine tuning the strategy that is going to work best for you and for your business. Guess what? If you are here listening to this episode on Tuesday, December 28th, I want you to mark your calendar for January 3rd. Because I'm actually putting together a new free training. It'll be completely free, it'll be live and it will be the opportunity that you will get to to actually get all of your unanswered how to questions done so you can start figuring out the strategy that is going to work best for you. So if you're at the beginning or maybe you've been struggling for While, this FitBiz Bootcamp is going to be for you. So check the show notes because there is an opportunity to get all of the unanswered how to questions answered. And they matter. Because once you get those unanswered how to questions done, then we can step into the fourth step into really quantum leaping your business. And that is take Inspired action and what I alluded to. Take inspired action. Take inspired action. Be willing to be led. Do the reps that are required to get the skill acquisition honestly, a great offer, great messaging. It doesn't take time. You'll hear people say building business takes time. It doesn't necessarily take time. It takes reps. Do the reps take time? Maybe. But it can go faster than what you think. You can quantum leap it. You can close that gap. But it will require you to show up. It will require you to put more offers out or one offer out. It will require you to sell more than I'm willing to bet that you're selling. Really think about your last year into when in 2020, how often did you present an offer to people to purchase your products and services? Most people are not selling enough and that is because they're don't have. They don't feel good about selling. They don't look. They think of selling as sleazy. They don't real. They don't have a great relationship with money or know that more money is always coming to them. They don't have a. They feel like they are annoying people or that they're being sleaz. I get it. I get it. I know that. I know that I've been on the receiving end of that also. I've been on the end of where it has. Where I have. People have felt sleazy when they talk to me. Honestly. It comes down to, in my opinion, two things. When you stop listening and when you lack empathy, that's when you can start to feel like you are sleazy. So what that means is when you enter a discovery call or when you, when you have a. An interaction with someone and you already think you know what they're going to say or you already think that. That there's a. You already think they're not going to buy, you're bringing that energy into the room, into the experience with them, and so you stop listening to them. That can feel sleazy or pushy. When there's a sense of falseness, false urgency, a sense of falseness that also will feel sleazy. Or when you, when you cannot understand where that person is coming from is going to be a barrier. A barrier to purchase, but not the act of presenting an offer that's not sleazy. Selling as a service. Go look at your trash. I'm willing to bet that all of the items inside of that trash can were purchased either by you or by someone else that was given to you. Regardless, every item in that trash can was at one time purchased. Take inspired action. So when you take inspired action, the data will tell you what to do. So take the inspired action. And also I just want to have another quick caveat when I'm talking about inspired action is that it will also require you in order to take that action. It will require you to get committed. To get committed and to stay integrity with your word. When you do those two things, it will build confidence. It will build confidence in yourself whether you're starting at day one or whether you're starting at day 100, whether you are starting at day one or pushing through day to day 100 and beyond. Just get committed to the goal and stay integrity with your word. So if you have to change the goal to make sure that you stay integrity, do that. If you it's the most important thing that you can do for your brain in order to quantum leap. Otherwise you teach yourself how you show up for yourself. So taking that inspired action is so important and it will come from the commitment and the decision it will come from the commitment and the decision to taking this inspired action. It is so important and a must need to generate the revenue you want inside of your business. Thanks so much for hanging out with me today. If you like this episode, please do me a favor.
