What's up coach? Thank you so much for pushing play on another episode of the PT Profit Podcast. I'm your host, Beverly Simpson. And if this is your first time hanging out with me today, welcome. I'm super pumped that you're here Today we're diving into six tips to help you mitigate any angst or anxiety or stress you have about what our economy is going to look like in the coming months or coming years. If you have any financial stress about it or worry, this episode is going to be for you. So the first thing I would just want to tell you is that I am not an economist. So I am not someone who consistently looks out at the forecasts and looks at the market like I'm not, I'm not a financial advisor. This is not financial advice. However, I do know business and I do know people and it is my job to help people solve problems. And so gonna offer you the six things that I know have helped me and that have helped my clients and I will offer it to you in the hopes to also help you mitigate your stress and start to feel financially secure in what feels like an economic crisis or potential economic crisis. I'll give you the short list of the things that are the most important to do in your business so that you can bulletproof it. Essentially number one, the first thing I'm going to say is to limit your social media, any type of panic inducing content or people that talk about this subject so you're the sum of the people that you spend time with. So be specific, curated, strategic with who you're talking both consciously and consuming unconsciously. Because if you are skimming it, if you are looking at it, if you are scrolling it, you are unconsciously consuming it. So just be very particular, conscious and curated about who you talk to regarding the stresses of all of the unfortunate change we are seeing in our world today. So just be very, very mindful of what you are consuming on the subject. Second thing we want to do is we really want to evaluate and look at what is resistance and how can you get resourceful? Because you get, you focus on. So when you're there panicking and looking at all the reasons why not, you're going to get all the reasons why not. Be honest with yourself, really look at yourself in a non shameful way and ask, what is a resistance? What resistance can you remove? And start asking yourself, what can I double down on? Because if you are creating something new, we cannot create from a panicked state. Your success is state dependent. So when I say resistance, what do I mean? So I just want to unpack that because this is a nuanced conversation and it's going to require you to truly know yourself and truly know your boundaries and really be able to have a strong sense of an emotional read. So what do I mean by that? So resistance is that time every time you wake up and you just don't feel like it. Maybe you're not motivated. Maybe your brain is really, really sending some emergency signals as you're trying to flip the switch on your identity and you are really trying to do something different in your brain is saying, no, no, no, we stay the same. This is not what we do. And so if that is coming up for you, it's showing up in resistance. And sometimes it shows up in your clients when they just don't feel like working out, but then they, they start working out and then they feel better. That is resistance. That is your brain saying, then I don't want to do that. When you start to feel like, oh, uncomfortable now. Uncomfortable doesn't have to be hard. By the way, we're not talking. This is why I'm saying it's a nuanced. This is, I'm not saying that you need to at all costs go to the gym workout at the expense of your emotional and physical and mental well being. No, no, that's not, that's. Now we've swung the pendulum in the other way. But you have to ask yourself, what is resistance and what can I be resourceful from? And so, you know, if you're asking yourself, well, you know, am I going too far or is it just resistance? Your, your feelings are going to be the signal. Are you exhausted? Are you so burnt out? Are you tired? You miserable? Even though you're doing it and you're just relying on discipline. I typically recognize resistance when I've come from this place of I don't want to do it and then I start to do it and then I feel better and I'm happy that I'm doing, I get into the flow, I start working out, I'm happy that I arrived. That's typically how I understand resistance, at least for me. You're going to have to figure out what the difference is and how to navigate it for yourself. Which leads to number three, which is know yourself. I mean this, it sounds so woo woo. And I get this, I know it. Some people are like, no, I just want, you know, give me the strategic, give me the visible strategy. One, one, one. But your success is dependent on three invisible components. Actually two. Half. It's half. It's both invisible and visible. You going all in on yourself faster. Recognize what keeps you feeling inspired, motivated, grounded, asking powerful questions. Powerful how questions. How instead of why is this happening? Why isn't this working? How can this work? And when you know yourself, you must prioritize your needs. If it's not a hell yes, it's a hell no. Take care of yourself because it's required to show up as a leader. And when you take care of yourself, when you prioritize the needs of your business and your needs, and I don't mean prioritize your needs at the cost or expense of others. I'm talking about things like waking up and getting a good night's sleep, mitigating your stress, going for walks, moving your body, showing up to be present so that you can help other people. This is what will magnetize you. You cannot pour from an empty cup. That's what I mean when I say prioritize yourself. And so the number four, let's look at pain and problems. So if you are currently operating your business like you are a luxury instead of a necessity, you'll be the first thing that people cut. So what we want to look at inside of your business is how can you up in your offerings as a need and actually solve serious problems? When you really position yourself in the marketplace as someone who solves problems, removes any and all resistance and turns the program from a want into a need. This is when you will have a customer. So start getting resourceful in the questions that you ask yourself and start positioning yourself so that your offer is so irresistible that people can't say no. People will still need to prioritize their pain and their health during an economic downturn. Number five, help people principles will always remain. Lean into them. So instead of focusing, consistently focusing on growing or always trying to get new people, double down on the results that the current people you have right now. Because when you can just get your program, get your process just 2% better or.02% better. Your clients will do the marketing for you. When you focus on really truly helping people, that will do the marketing for you. And then number six, just remember that there is short term versus long term. This is just a phase. Things will always go up. They will always go down sideways. It doesn't matter. Invest your money where it counts. The principles, the skill acquisition practice doing uncomfortable work and stay resilient. Because no matter what the external circumstances are, the fact remains the people who cannot handle it often fade away while you remain. People need their health because without it there is nothing.
