Welcome to the PT Profit Podcast. What's up, coaches? Welcome back to the PT Profit Podcast. I'm your host, Beverly Simpson, and today it's just you and me hanging out for a short episode on the three missing ingredients that's likely missing from your business. If you're in a place where you are struggling and feeling like it's not working, or maybe you, maybe it is working, but you're tapped out and you want to scale. So if you're new around here, welcome. This podcast published on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Tuesdays is your marketing and business episode and Thursdays where I bring the cutting edge education on the science of training so that we can help you sharpen your saw. Because ultimately it's my mission in this lifetime to help as many coaches build resilient human, both mentally and physically. Because I think now more than ever we need as many strong, resilient humans roaming around. So it's currently Wednesday, August, right before my first ever challenge that I'm doing for coaches and clinicians all over the world. And I am super excited. I have been buried in the work to make sure that I give you the most impactful training that I possibly can. I want this training to be exactly what you need, that you can instantly implement things on your Instagram and your social media content so that you can start generating revenue today. So by the time that you listen to this podcast, we'll already be on day two. And I just already have visions and excitement of seeing all these trainers, you know, trying things out maybe for the first time, or maybe it's not the first time, maybe they're just tired of things not working and wanting to get another eye on their stuff because it can be frustrating. And especially coming from this place of I'm so tapped out that I can't generate any more revenue and how, how am I going to make a bigger impact and how can I, how can I work more efficiently? Because ultimately that's what it comes down to. I'll never forget when I was sitting in the gym? And I was working out with my trainer at the time, and I was a fitness manager. And for those of you who don't, who have been in the gym, you are very familiar with those end of the months and having to chase these revenue targets. And the fitness manager is usually the person that facilitates that. And so I remember talking to my trainer about, you know, is this what my life's going to be like forever? Am I going to be here on every Halloween? Am I going to miss my child's. Am I going to miss my children doing trick or treating? Because I'm here at the gym trying to generate revenue? Am I going to miss New Year's Eve? Am I going to be missing out on all of the end of the month fun activities that happen around the holidays, like Thanksgiving? And it was something that just, you know, had a huge impact on me. And I remember, you know, at the time that I was contemplating this, because this was, you know, right around the time that I was pregnant with my second, which is one of the main reasons that I left was because I was working so many hours in the gym, the ROI on my time was unfulfilling, and I was just having visions of what am I gonna do with my kids? Or I don't want to miss Halloween. I don't want to miss out on life because I'm grinding in the gym. But fitness and movement have saved my life in so many aspects that I just couldn't bring myself to leave it. And so here we are today, and it's been, you know, almost four years later. Here we are in this challenge, which is a cumulation of years of building businesses, trainers, and my own, both in person and online. And all of it is coming together in this challenge. And so I'm really excited because it's the first time I'm bringing this stuff to you, and I'm really excited because it's the first time that I'm just bringing all of this together in this easy, simple, easy to implement way. And hopefully, this challenge is going to help you learn some of the lessons that I had to learn faster so that you can start generating revenue today. Because I'm super passionate about helping really smart coaches and clinicians generate revenue so that they can live, so that they can build a resilient humans in a way that is not costing their own mental health, their own physical health, and living the life that they want to live doing what they love because it's possible. And when you start on this entrepreneurial track, when you start doing all of these things, you start to feel like maybe it's not possible, but something my mentor says to me, and I'm going to say to you, your success is inevitable. It's only not possible if you quit. If you do quit and decide that it's not for you, great. But I'm speaking to the person who's discouraged. I'm speaking to the person who feels like it's not possible. But this is what I want. Your success is inevitable. And my hope is that this podcast, your time with me, is going to be the first step to changing all of that for you. So let's go ahead and dive in to the three missing ingredients that every successful business needs. In fact, I've turned these ingredients into the pillars of the PT Profit formula, which is the exact process and plan that helps personal trainers and physical therapists generate revenue either in person or online. And now these three ingredients, it's not like one comes before the other. You need to do this one first, this one second. It's about how these three, three pillars work synergistically together. And I'm going to use this metaphor, and I don't know if it's the best metaphor to use, because these pillars and building this machine that is your business is not necessarily as fragile as this house of cards that I'm about to use as a metaphor. But I want you to think of these three pillars as if you were building your house out of cards, in the sense that if one goes out of place, it could be the downfall of the cards falling down. But I don't want you to think that your business is fragile. So I'll keep pondering as time goes on what a better metaphor is for that. But I want you to understand that all of these pillars, these three missing ingredients, they work synergistically together. And you can't have two and not the other. You can't have one and not the other two. If you don't have all three of these components, then most likely you are not running the successful business that you are wanting to run. So let's start, number one, with the first pillar that I often go for, which I've already talked about on this podcast. But it is the profitable product, and more specifically, it is that irresistible offer. What is the offer? And now, people, now, my mentor and I've grappled with this a lot. They tend to actually not teach this first because the idea is not go and create this course, go create this membership, go create this service or this whatever, you know, this product and not Even think about who your ideal client is. But the reason why I tend to start with the product first is that if you remember in the episode, I can't remember what number it is, but I talk about the offer. And the offer is not the process. Not just the process, sure, it's part of it. But more importantly, the first part is the transformation. What is the promise? And I get people to start thinking about that first because chances are you've had some experience working with all different types of people. And so what happens is that people start to struggle to determine what their niche is and who it is that they want to serve and they get hung up on that. So I tend to, instead of thinking about who the person is at first, I am asking you to think about what is the transformation that you want to provide. What is the stuff you want to be talking about all the time? For me, I was really happy talking about weight loss. I know there was a lot of stigma around weight loss, specifically weight loss and self esteem loss in the fitness industry right now. But it's not about that. It was about that. I was really proud and happy and loved talking about losing weight up to 50 pounds actually, without counting calories. I was really hot and keeping it off and what went into that. And so I loved talking about those types of promise. And when I started to really think about what it is that I wanted to talk about, not in terms of like what it is that I want to do, because I'm never gonna force people to do that and I'm never gonna create. And I don't encourage people to create something that no one wants. That's not what I'm saying. I want you to think about, you know, who, you know, what is the info that you love talking about, what and what do people come to you and ask you about and when you can start thinking about it like that, then your ideal client tends to start to present itself and it starts to become clear who it is that you are talking to. And when you know who it is that you are talking to, then you can start really tapping into the second pillar, the second ingredient, which is the powerful position which is all about creating magnetic messaging that is going to attract and connect you to your ideal client. And the messaging, and this is something I live for. The messaging is going to be the, the through line, the, the ingredient that shows up in both the first pillar, the first ingredient, which is that profitable products because the way that you present the offer is going to help with the perceived value. The third ingredient, which is the purposeful plan. When you're putting your content, your client needs to go through a journey. They need to go from meeting you, traffic and then buying, you know, creating that, know, like and trust and creating that first, yes, I'm interested in this. I'm going to raise my hand and then becoming a customer. So they go from being a, you know, being introduced to you to like. So a metaphor for this is like hanging out and then saying yes to that first date and more first dates or more dates and then getting married. And the messaging that you put in your content is going to carry them through this journey of going from, hey, how are you? Yeah, let's hang out to you're the one for me. And so that powerful position is the most important component. So I tend to not start with it because I want you to start thinking a little bit about transformation, what it is that you want to do and then who it is that you serve. And then we can start really diving into that powerful position because that powerful position is going to be what sets you apart from other people in the marketplace. It's also going to be how you present your offer so that the perceived value is 10 times the asking investment price. And you do it using and executing a very purposeful plan. Doesn't have to be this big, massive launch. It could be a week's worth of content, which is exactly what I'm teaching inside of this challenge. So, listen, if this is the first time you're hearing about this challenge, it's day two. There's still time. We'll leave that link in the show notes. There's plenty of time for you to catch up. But these three missing ingredients, when you get them to start working synergistically together, honestly, you, you'll take off. But listen, you're in the fitness industry. You've been you. Chances are you've been with clients before. It's easy for me to say this is how you do it, but how many times have you worked with a client and then, you know, something happens like, oh, you know, things that we just can't see happen. Like, I thought that, you know, I like hormone. We need to get hormone profiles checked out or we need to, you know, they're in pain and we need to refer out, or maybe they, you know, things that are, we can't control or don't see or client adherence, things fall off the wagon. So just because it's simple does not necessarily mean that it's easy. Because when rubber meets the road, that's when we're going to learn. So like I tell my clients, it's not about how successful can we get, it's about how many lessons, how many failures. And so it's inevitable that you're going to try this on. Take everything I said in this podcast, go trade on, and things aren't going to work. You can't fix what you can't see. This is why this challenge is going to be so powerful, because this is an opportunity for you to get an outside perspective from someone who's done it, who helps other people do it and who's in it and practicing what I preach. And so I'm really excited for these people and I'm really excited for the powerful transformations that we're going to go through in just five days. But these are the three missing ingredients. Once you get all of these things firing off on all cylinders, then you can generate as much revenue as you want. Because I know not everyone is after that seven figure business. Not everyone wants to manage a team, not a massive team, not everyone wants to scale and give up one on one clients. Some people just want to generate a living where their kids are happy, where they're not working a kajillion hours, and where they are supporting and serving and helping people. Success is not determined by your bank account. Success is determined. Success is subjective. But once you get these three missing ingredients firing off, you can earn as much as you want. And these are the keys to the business. And these are the ingredients for a successful business.
