Welcome to the PT Profit Podcast.
What's up coach? Thank you so much for pushing play on another episode of the PT Profit Podcast. I'm your host, Beverly Simpson. If this is your first time hanging out here with me today, thank you for pushing play. I'm super pumped. We're about to talk about the main differences between group coaching and a mastermind. And the reason why I wanted to bring it up is because it's the number one question that I'm getting asked in my DMs about the PT Profit Accelerator. So if you're new and you hadn't heard yet, I'm currently accepting applications for this brand new group coaching mastermind that I'm launching in 2022. It's the PT Profit Accelerator. It is a 12 month intensive for high level action takers who are ready to accelerate their business success in the health and wellness space. And so the main question that keeps coming up is what are the differences between group coaching, what's the difference between PT Profit formula, the accelerator, this, this, you know, working one on one, like what are some of the big differences? So I've been sharing, if you've been following it all along on Instagram at all, is that I've been, I'm making some really big shifts as we move into 2022 and the reason why I'm making these shift is, is based on my experience in what I have come to love for my business growth and how I want to help facilitate growth for the people for the clients that continue to work with me and the new clients that are coming in to work with me is that I' just a huge, huge proponent and believer of both custom support, custom strategy in combination with the community. So for me, when I first signed up and moved into this online space and I had no idea what I was doing, I signed up with a one on one coach from a recommendation from a good friend of mine and I'm so glad I had that experience because I discovered that that particular coach was not for me. And while I have mad respect for him and I wish him nothing success. I just know that that was not the right space for me. And then I quickly moved into a Mastermind container, and I loved that Mastermind container. I still look back on my time, and I look on it very fondly. Some of my bestest friends have come out of that Mastermind. I. And the ones that I don't speak to every day, I still speak to pretty often. And we have all collaborated on each other's podcast. We've done live events with each other. We've. We've spoken at each other' events or done virtual. Virtual meetings for our groups from that Mastermind. I've had many of them on my podcast. I have. I love them all, and I'm so grateful for that time, and I really loved that experience. And then from there, I moved into a much bigger, larger group coaching space. And in that. Which I also loved, now you might be thinking, oh, Beverly, do you just love everything? Well, if you listened to my last episode that I did on. On the. On what? On the Five Reasons why Coaches Get Success Faster. One of the things I talked about was in my journey how when I first started, I was actually really horrible, and I had a much, much more negative outlook on life. And I was wondering, why were things happening to me? This wasn't happening as fast. And I. And I had this desperate. This urgency, the sense of urgency. So people who've known me a long time, and I'm just so grateful. I mean, I get choked up when I talk about it, but I'm just so grateful for the mastermind and for the group coaching and for all of the groups that I've been in and the people that I've worked with. I'm so grateful for them because they were able to show me the mirror when I was fighting myself, when I was fighting against my own limitations, they would show me the mirror in love. And that is powerful and it is kind. I also had people that, that celebrated with me and that they, you know, I wish I had put this in, in last week's episode, but that's the other thing, is that successful people, they are celebrating others. They're not putting anybody down. And so they would celebrate with me. They were there for me when things were going sideways, when I was afraid. Community can be so, so supportive, especially, and so important, especially when we're business building, right? Because the online space can be really lonely. It can feel really lonely, especially if you know you're the only one out there doing it. It can Feel so lonely. And so the community is so important. You know, it's for better or worse. It's one of those things where I always laugh because I have so many friends there. I have so, so, so many friends. I'm so lucky. I love them all, but they're just strewn all over the world. So it's not like I can call them up and be like, hey, come over. My kids are driving me kooky, right? It's. I just, I've put myself in these environments and I'm grateful for them where I just get to connect with people that are literally all over the world. And I love that. It's a blessing. So then in addition to that, I. So it wasn't always the case. I did not always view my experiences in this way I do now, and I did then as well. But honestly, I was so focused on the negative that I couldn't really, I couldn't really experience the joy of what it was like to be in that room and in those rooms. And I look on it now fondly. And I love my coaches so much, all of them, even the one that wasn't the right fit for me because I wouldn't be, there's no way I'd be here sharing what I'm sharing, knowing what I know without those experiences. So I'm so grateful for them. And so now in this group coaching program that I was in, it was much bigger and I'm still in it. It is huge. Lots of people, it's like 200 to 300 people in this group coaching program. And I, you know, so you can imagine with that many people, that many brains, that many, that much energy in, in, in one room, in one space, it can, it has its pros and cons. Now the truth is that each one of these, these containers or each one of these spaces all have pros and cons. It has to do with the law of polarity. They can't, there can't be one without the other, right? And I love them all. Each, each offer, each experience is there for a reason. And so then I left that group coach. When I left that group coaching or in addition to that group, I move, I added on a high level mastermind, another high level mastermind. And so now as I'm going into in and I'm just a firm believer in being around communities. And so what I have learned is that, and for me, and what I'm hoping to call in is that, and what I've set my intention to call in is a group of High level people and by high levels. So here's some of the things I see out in the space when it comes to masterminds. So some of the main components, the main difference between a mastermind and a group coaching is that group coaching is really designed to help you figure out some fundamentals, figure out some basics. And then a mastermind sometimes is more centered around scaling. And by scaling, I mean growing. So many of the masterminds that are out there, there's not so much coaching that's happening. It's more about the networking and it's more about the people that are in this room so that you can collaborate with, you can get in front of each other's audiences, share with each other about what's working and what's not. It's not usually the space where the conversations are about I'm struggling this or the conversations aren't about necessarily some of the basics of business building. And so a lot of the insights can sometimes be around, around team growth. And maybe the struggling is a little bit or the conversations tend to be different and lend themselves to a different struggle. So it's not that the people that are in a mastermind aren't struggling. Listen, we are all faced with challenges and we are all going to be asked to, to rise to the occasion. And like I said in last week's podcast, it's really not about the successes. It's about how you show up and learn from your perceived failures or perceived outcomes that did not go the way you wanted them to go. That's the magic. And so often in the space, when it comes to masterminds, because of the high levelness and because of the different types of struggles and conversations that people tend to have at different levels or different stages of growth in their business, they tend to be smaller. And then they also tend to have these requirements that seem astronomical or they also have to. They also have requirements that not every action taker tends to be at yet, which there's nothing wrong with that. It's not, I'm not saying this to criticize, but I tend, I consider myself to be at that million dollar level. I show up the best I can with always shifting my energy, asking myself, you know, who do I need to be? How would I show up differently? And I tend to come with big action, decision making efforts and experience when it comes to business building. And so I want to push myself to be in the room with the people who are at a higher level than me. I want to be in the room and see what they're doing? How are they energetically showing up? What are the actions and decisions that they are making so that I can get to that level? I want to be in those rooms. And because growth happens in stages, sometimes there are people that are meant to be in, in rooms that maybe aren't as fast paced and that's okay. I'm all for that. I facilitate a room like that. I want you to. If people start to feel overwhelmed or feel like they can't do it, then they're not going to take the action that they need to take in order to fulfill on their dreams. Give people the first win. If you are talking with some and listen you. I've learned, I'm learning this lesson too as we go. Right. Phase happens in growth and you're never going to get any. Or growth happens in stages and you're never going to get anything but the truth and transparency from me. But sometimes, you know, when coming from a place of wanting to love and pour into people, it can be really overwhelming and people can start to feel like, oh my gosh, what? And then they start to, they get overwhelmed and then feel like that they can't do it. So that's like trying to tell someone who wants to lose £100 all the things that they need to do and getting them excited about point Z when they're at point A. And we just need to get them excited about point B. And then oftentimes, which is why I recorded last week's podcast, oftentimes, really the difference between what keeps people from struggling versus the people that are super successful is that these components that were is the invisible components that we talked about last week. Week. But the truth is that all of this stuff, the strategy and all of this, this is, this is going to be in every level. And even the super high level people that I've talked to and worked with, they're not holding back. It's not like there's anything super secret that's happening at this level that you're, that you can't get access to. They tend to give the same fundamentals to all people across all levels. It's just really, how fast are you going through the invisible components? What are you really letting land on you? What are you dismissing and assuming that you already know? Because think about it, masters, just reiterate the basics over and over and over again. Even in fitness, even in like, the chances are you've squatted before and you're probably still squatting. Maybe you're squatting better now. If you're anything like the conversation I had with the PT profit formula clients. So it's not like being in those rooms necessarily are going to mean that you mean anything and all of a sudden that you're not getting what you need. Because there's so much value being in the room with like minded people that are in or that are in similar or even stretch places as you. Because people grow together. I always look at some of my other mentors that are out there and I look at them and we all look at them on a pedestal and then, and then we forget that they had a day one too. And all those people that they're collaborating with, they all had a day one and, and they were day one ing it together and they were rising and growing and getting the reps in together. This is why community and custom support are so important. And so for me the group coaching focus and the difference is that there's much more teaching, this is much more business basics reiteration, this is much more foundational. Put the machine in place, place, work and then the intention between for the mastermind and this is not true for all masterminds. Let me just say, okay, I'm just giving you the experience and what I mean for mine and what I'm hoping, what, what my intention is to be the, the differentiator is that my accelerator is that 12 month commitment to yourself to take the machine that you've already built or maybe you're building it as you go and that's fine. You, it's not necessarily even ne because people evolve, people change, people grow, they add on. But they're already at a certain level of invisibility. They're already at a different mindset. I can't think of another word for mindset but it's a, it's another, it's another level of, of understanding that they have what it takes to get to that next level. Meaning if it all fell apart or they're all starting from zero. No one's really actually starting from zero. They're starting from the beginning but with all of that skill underneath them so that they trust and know that they can turn it around really quickly. But sometimes people who have not had that skill acquisition yet that are still learning and are still taking the reps and still doing the reps, they're the ones that, that, that might need a little bit longer, they might need to be with more coaching, they might need help seeing a little bit more blind spots and removing and, and, and looking at strategy and maybe they haven't heard of the strategy before and whatnot. These people might need a little bit more Rubber meets the road and there's nothing wrong with that. It's okay to be where you're at. That's the main difference for me at least. And so the mastermind and what I've seen and what I'm hearing from other people in different masterminds is that it's really all about the networking, the collaboration. And so what I am doing inside of my PT Profit accelerator is that I'm bringing in both components. So maybe you've been in the game for a while and maybe you've been struggling or maybe you've been in the game for a while and you've built a really successful brick and mortar business or you've built another business that's that's really awesome. Another online business that's really awesome. And you're really wanting to lift another business, but you want to walk the path, you want to discover a different path and maybe you need a little bit more help fine tuning your machine or different components to your machine, your business and you're ready to take those fast action steps. This is going to be fast paced. This is not going to be, take this at your own time. This is going to be fast action and fast pace. And that is a good thing. And neither are bad. It's just more about where you're at and what you need. And sometimes if you're anything like me, maybe you want to be pushed, maybe you want to go faster. And so what I've learned too, when people are at different phases, because I'm a huge component, I'm a huge, huge proponent for coaching. I think coaching is such an important thing and we need coaching at every level. But there are some times, there are some times when people are maybe really new to the space that there's still a level of skill acquisition that they need and they might not need as much access, they might need some support and they need to just reiterate, learn the basics. And so when people are at different levels of skill acquisition and different phases of growth, the each person, and this is going to be different for everyone, right? But each person has a different level of support requirement that is needed. And so people who tend to be at super high level mastermind can't get into the room already making 500k, 250k, 300k, like they don't necessarily need as much support as someone who's still trying to figure it out, still trying to scale, still trying to grow. And those people, this is why I'M calling it a coaching mastermind because I want you to get both. I want you to get in the intense level of support that you need to really just blow up the business. Plus you get the network, the people, the community that are around you that are going to help bring you up. Because when the tides rise, all the boats rise, right? And then we have the people who are maybe in a, in a place where they, they want support. You're going to get support at every level, no matter what. But maybe you just can't go as fast or don't want to go as fast and maybe it feels a little bit overwhelming and maybe you need to pull back on some of the support and access so that you can go at your own pace. I know of course your personality, your type of person that you are is going to show up at every different level, but that is. And no matter what level and what level of access to support that you need or want, that's also going to be determined by your personality. That is totally fine. But that is my intention as I am bringing out this coaching mastermind. Is that what I also found and saw from my one on one clients that I've been working with now for years is that they are so brilliant, so smart. We have such an amazing time together and learning and putting in the systems and processes in place to like really just expand and grow. But we're missing that community aspect and that community aspect can be so powerful because I can't tell you how many times I've gotten an idea or inspiration. Listening to somebody else's hot seat, listening to where somebody else is in their world, that's been way more powerful for me. Which is why I'm bringing in this coaching mastermind. Because it's a combination of both, both the custom experience, the most access to me and to my team, and also to each other. You're going to learn from each other. People will be saying what's working, what's not working and just really in the trenches and going after it. So if you still have any questions or you want to learn more about it, please check the show notes because applications are there, the spots are there until it's not. Or keep. There's about 25 people max, you know, so check the show notes. Would love to have you if you're. And if you have, if you need any, if there are any questions at all about, there are any questions at all about it and about whether or not you're the right fit or if you should do group coaching or if you should be part of the accelerator, then please reach out to me. I'd be happy to have conversation with you about what is going to work best for you. Because at the end of the day, this is your business and I'm just here on a mission to help you generate as much revenue as you want. All right, I'll catch you on the next episode.
