Can you shoot yourself?

In Fractal Mode, there are multiple copies of you and multiple copies of your opponent. You can shoot any one of them to kill your opponent. However, you can't shoot yourself, and that's because the first thing that any player ever does when they start playing Space Flux is shoot themselves in the back, so I turned off friendly fire, if you know what I'm saying.
