The developer of Space Flux, a first-person shooter, shows how Fractal Mode works: the level loops infinitely, and you exist on multiple fractal layers at once, each version of you damageable. Objects and teleporters spawn across all layers too.

Hi! I'm the developer of Space Flux, an FPS set in a variety of impossible spaces, including infinite levels that loop on forever, and a reflection game mode where the world is mirrored and players simultaneously control their character along with their reflected double. But today we're taking a look at Space Flux's fractal mode. As I move towards the center, I get back to where I started, and I never make it to the other side. The only way through is to go around. Each player has a larger self on the fractal layer behind them, and a smaller one in front of them. They're all identical, so you can shoot any one of them to deal damage. The blocks I'm spawning have their own fractal instances. As do all objects, like sofas, triggerable explosives, and energy balls. The teleporter also works in fractal space. This is what a match looks like in fractal mode. Thanks for watching! If you'd like to support this game, check out my Patreon in the link below. Space Flux will soon be available on Steam for early access.
