In this live YouTube session, native English speaker Callie Anderson reads the children’s book “Mix It Up” to a Korean‑speaking audience while encouraging interactive participation. She greets viewers, shares personal weekend anecdotes, and invites chat members to guess the story’s theme. As she reads, she pauses to explain key English vocabulary (e.g., bored vs. boring, chilly, brewing, moping, obviously), pronunciation nuances (e.g., hot cocoa, “unique New York”), and cultural references (snow days in the U.S., New York winter, Korean vs. English pronunciation). The host engages the audience with questions about winter activities, personal experiences, and tongue‑twisters, fostering speaking practice and listening comprehension. Mid‑story she introduces a detailed hot‑cocoa recipe, including measurements, step‑by‑step directions, and several flavor variations, using the cooking segment as additional language practice. The session concludes with the story’s ending, audience feedback, and a call for future live events. Throughout, the host maintains a warm, conversational tone, offers encouragement, and creates a community‑building atmosphere aimed at improving English listening and speaking skills.

Since we did it last time, I've been looking forward to another bedtime story. I love bedtime stories. Oh, you— time does fly. I agree. What did everyone do this weekend? What did I do this weekend? Oh, I did something really fun yesterday. Yesterday, Saturday night, I went to a Disney Orchestra concert in the park. It was so good. They played— the orchestra was so talented, and they played some of my favorite Disney songs. And everybody was on picnic mats because it was at the park. So it was such a nice vibe. Mia, I'm not sleeping now. But maybe during the bedtime story— well, not during, after the bedtime story, I'll just fall asleep right away. Did everybody receive the PDF for the bedtime story? Who's got the PDF? Oh, thank you, Italy. Thank you so much. I was pretty excited about these PJs. I, I liked it too. I liked the style of it. Thank you, thank you. Yuha Young, you went to the Disney concert too? Maybe we were near each other. Maybe we were sitting next to each other and we didn't realize it. That would be so funny. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I loved it. Okay, did anybody read the story? Did anybody read the PDF story ahead of time? You don't have to. It's okay. It's not homework. I'm just curious, did anybody read it? Oh, okay. YJ, sorry, I hope I said your name correctly. YJ read it yesterday. Oh, good job. I hope you liked story? I liked this story. For me, this story was very nostalgic. So nostalgic means it makes me think of lots of old memories. Nostalgic. Oh, that's okay, Marin. We're going to read it together tonight, so don't worry. So if you have the PDF, maybe you can open the PDF and follow along while I read. I think that might be helpful. You could also shadow, so we can read together. If I'm reading, you can read along with me if you want to practice your speaking. Oh, you, you, you, Ha Young. Sorry, I am getting tongue-tied today. You, Ha Young, also read the book. Awesome. Hi, Young. Hello, welcome, welcome. Okay, let me get this story pulled up here. So tonight's story is called Mix It Up, right? Mix It Up. There we go. Mix It Up. Any guesses what this story is about if you didn't read it based on the COVID So there's the COVID So what do we think this story could be about? Mix It Up. Mix means like this, stirring, kind of. Bibimbap. Yes, you're the best, Joy. That's what I think of too when I hear mix. I also think of bibimbap. Is it the story of bibimbap? Snow. Marin, good. Yes, looks like it's snowing somewhere. Hmm, snow. I also see some cars, so maybe it's in the city. Oh, there we go, right? Some snowflakes, some cars. So maybe it's a big snowstorm coming to the city. Maybe colored paintings. Hmm, could be, right? It looks like a nice illustration or a nice picture, so it could be about paintings. I love hearing guesses about this. I do this often before I read a book. I like to guess based on the COVID what I think the book will be about. Hmm, guesses are interesting. I agree. All right, so I agree, I see the snow. Maybe it's about winter. Is anybody a fan of winter? Who likes winter as a season? Does anybody like winter? I'm not the biggest fan of winter, to be honest. I like summer. Summer and fall, are my favorite seasons. Is anybody's favorite season winter? It's very quiet in the chat now. Maybe nobody likes winter. Oh, okay. Hände Creme. Hände Creme likes winter. Wow. Oh, Young too? Oh, sui. Oh wow, okay, now we've got some winter fans in the chat. Wied Khalifa. Yes, Christmas. I love Christmas. I love Christmas, but I hate winter. It makes no sense. Not a fan of winter. But I like the— oh, a winter hike! Oh, you're brave, Jesse. That sounds so scary to me. Hande Krim likes snow. Okay, well, maybe those of you that are a fan of winter, maybe you'll enjoy this book. I think so. I'm a fan of summer. I'm sorry. But I still enjoyed the book. Okay, so let's get started. So I will read the whole page straight through so you can shadow and read along with me, and then after, I will go back and we'll talk about it more. Okay, so let's read together. If you can practice your speaking, why not? Here we go. All right. Hi, my name is Sally and I live in New York City in the United States of America. It's a chilly, cloudy fall day and the rain is turning into an icy, snowy mixture. I am bored. Last week the weather was beautiful when I had to go to school, but it gets dark early now, so I cannot play outside. Now when I don't have to go to school, there is an early winter storm brewing. I am bored. Okay, so first of all, okay, we've got Sally and she's living in New York City. How exciting! Has anybody been to New York City? I lived in New York for 1 year before coming to Korea. And even though I don't like winter, I loved winter in New York because Christmas in New York is magical. Has anybody visited New York before? Oh, Waba went to New York. Oh, so fun! Did you like it, Waba? Did you enjoy it? Never been, never been. I recommend if you go in the future, I recommend going at Christmas time. It's gorgeous. Oh, Junie, one day you'll make it. I'm sure of it. Oh, New Jersey is so close. You're right, Young, you were right next door. Oh, 2022. Oh, I've never seen this movie, Serendipity. I don't know that movie. It was freezing. Eunjin, yes, it was freezing, but it was beautiful. So if you've never been to New York, go at Christmas, but pack warm clothes. Pack a heavy jacket. So yeah, that's my recommendation. Okay, I was just curious. So Sally is in New York City and she says it's a chilly, cloudy fall day. Does anyone know what does chilly mean? It's a chilly fall day. Hmm, if you don't know, feel free to guess. Hmm, it's a chilly fall day. Yes, exactly everybody, very good. So chilly means A little bit cold, not super, super cold, not super cold, a little bit cold. Okay, so maybe, yeah, fall time, if you can wear a light jacket, a thin jacket. It's a little bit chilly, I need a sweatshirt. Little bit cold. Yep, so It's a chilly fall day in New York City. Okay, and Sally says, I am bored. She said this twice. I am bored. Okay, I have to point something out here. I hear many people say I feel boring. I hear this sometimes, but boring and bored are different. So be careful. It's a common mistake that I hear often. Okay, so bored with a D, bored is a feeling, right? Like, ugh, There's nothing for me to do. I feel bored. I am bored. Boring means not fun, or it's more so the cause of you feeling bored. So what makes you feel bored is boring. So we usually say, I am bored. And that was boring, or something is boring. Okay, people can be boring too. It's not nice to say, but you can say, 'Mm, I'm a boring person.' That means not fun, not a fun person. I hope that's not true. I hope this bedtime story is not boring. I hope so. I'll try my hardest so that it's not boring. Vanilla person, that's so funny. Vanilla is sometimes It's like slang, slang these days. If something is vanilla, it's kind of boring. Oh, Sui, good. I'm glad it makes sense. Good. So remember that. Be careful. I am bored. That is boring. That movie is boring. That book is boring. Okay, boring versus bored. All right, and lastly, Sally says there is an early winter storm brewing. Brewing. What do you think of when you hear that word brewing? Has anybody heard this word before? Brew. What comes to your mind? Oh, winds. Okay, good. Anything else? That's a good guess, Young. What comes to mind? Beer. Exactly. I was thinking of this too. Yes, Happy Beer. Maybe coffee, right? I think of coffee, tea, beer, something like this. So often it means like mixing, right? Sometimes it means like mixing or making something. But in this sentence, a storm is brewing. That means a storm is developing. Okay, so think of how beer is brewing, it's being made, right? It's developing. So the storm is developing, it's coming. Okay, developing. A storm is brewing. Good. Exactly, you guys. Very good. Okay, let's go to the next page. I apologize, I've had a little cough lately, so I apologize in advance. Let me take a sip of water quick. Thank you, Billy. Okay, good. Let's continue. My big brother Josh is watching his favorite TV program, and as usual, he won't let me watch anything I like, or even something we both like. Josh doesn't like to share. Hmm. Okay, so her brother won't share the remote, right? The brother chose what he likes to watch, but she doesn't get to watch what she wants to watch. Poor Sally. Poor Sally. Her brother is hogging the TV. He's hogging the TV means he's not sharing. He's keeping it all for himself. Rude, rude brother Josh. All right, next page. I am bored. I don't have any new books to read. I am bored. My mom is listening to the news on the radio, and they are talking about the low temperatures and the surprise winter storm that is moving in. Okay, well, she keeps saying, 'I am bored. I am bored.' Oh, poor Sally. So a winter storm is moving in. Okay, a winter storm is coming. I have a question for you guys quick. In Korea Is it common to have snow days? Is it common to have snow days? Do you know what a snow day is? A snow day is when it's snowing so, so hard that they close school or they close work. Oh, not really. Maybe, maybe it depends on the school or the job. Oh, you're the best. Very rare, very rare. Okay, once in a very great while, not often. Okay. Hmm, I'm from Michigan in the United States, and it's right next to Canada, so we have similar weather. So we get lots of snow in the wintertime. Oh, everyone's saying it's not common. Hmm, so in Michigan, in my hometown, when I was a kid, I had so many snow days. I loved snow days. So when I was young, you would wake up in the morning and turn on the TV, you would turn on the news and they would put what schools are closed at the bottom. And I would always wake up and cross my fingers and pray that my school would be closed. Hi, MRK. Hello. Oh, I'm also in a coastal area. Yeah, yeah, so it snows a lot there too. Well, not coastal, I'm by the Great Lakes, so we're waterfront, I'll say. Sorry, not coastal. Yeah, it was the best when I woke up in the morning and saw my school's name on the news. I would immediately go back to sleep. Best feeling ever. The K-office workers should have a snow day sometimes. Everyone deserves a snow day sometimes. Hmm, haven't had that experience. Maybe it's a very unique experience in the US and only certain areas in the US, right? Because some states don't get snow, so I think, yeah, Michigan specifically, especially Michigan, has lots of snow days. All right, let's go to the next page. Okay. I can't even listen to music. I am bored, bored, bored, I said aloud. Callie, my mom called out. If you are so bored, why don't you draw a picture or color? I can't, I said. I am out of paper. Okay, out of paper. What does that mean? I am out of paper. Oh, Marin, I am in Korea right now, but I will probably visit the US soon. But for now, I am in Korea. Yes, exactly. Yuha Young, good. I have no paper. Exactly. Yes. Emily Kim, running out of. That's a great point. So I am out of paper. I am running out of paper. It's a little bit different. If I say I am running out of paper, it means right now I still have a little bit left. Oh, I'm running out. I almost have none, but I have a little bit left. But if I say, I am out of paper, that means it's all gone. Hmm. Short on paper. Yup, that's like running out of paper. I'm short on paper. I don't have much paper left. I'm short on paper. Very good, good points everybody. Short on paper, running out of paper. Yes, Billy, exactly. Oh, I'm running out of gas, I need to go to the gas station. Very good, I'm impressed you guys, excellent job. Okay, next page. Sally was obviously bored. She moped around the apartment for a while, tried to find something to do, but there just wasn't anything that interested her. She walked slowly to the window, pressed her nose against the cold glass and watched the big snowflakes fall from the sky. She looked down and saw that they were already starting to cover the street and sidewalk. Oh, sorry guys. Oh, what a terrible day! 'I am so bored,' she said with a sigh. Hmm, sorry, I was losing my voice a little bit at the end. Okay, so Sally was obviously bored. Obviously. What does obviously mean? I've got my huge water cup here. It's my lifesaver right now. Obviously. Obviously means clearly. Exactly. Clearly. She was clearly bored. So anybody can tell that she's bored. So if somebody— if I'm sitting here like this, oh, I'm clearly bored, right? I'm obviously bored. You can look at me and know that I'm bored. I'm running out of water. SOS, somebody send me water. Somebody send me water. Yes, so obviously means clearly. You can see it. You can tell. Oh, thank you, Marin. My acting is so good. Am I the next big actor, Netflix star? Just kidding, guys. Just kidding. I wish. Dream big. Okay, another thing here is it says she moped around the apartment. Moped. Okay, so moped means kind of walking around in a sad or uncheerful way. So if I'm walking around like, oof, oof, oof, like that, this kind of attitude, kind of sad or in a bad mood, that's moping. You can say, stop Stop moping around. Stop moping. She's moping. Okay, so it's like this kind of attitude, unhappy, in a bad mood, kind of sad, moping. Usually sad, I think of it. She's moping around. Hi, Chloe! Yeah, don't mope around. Sally is moping around because she's so bored. All right, next page. She stayed close to the window and watched some birds land on the telephone wires below her apartment. They look bored too. She said to herself. She watched the cars go up and down the street as they left their tire tracks in the pure white snow. Across the street, a dog slipped on an icy spot as it chased a cat. She thought she saw the cat turn around and smile, or maybe laugh at the dog as it tried to stop spinning in circles. Okay, so she's watching a funny thing happen on the street. She's seeing a funny scene, right? A dog slipped on the ice. Poor dog. The dog slipped on the ice and the cat is watching. This seems like very cat and dog behavior to me. I always think dogs are a little bit goofy and cats are a little bit, um, sassy. They have a little attitude. Oh, don't be sad, Nanu Daddy. Don't be sad. Go take care of your baby. That's your first priority. Don't worry, we'll do more lives like this. Yeah, so she's saying maybe the cat is laughing at the dog. Hmm. Oh, goofy. A little bit silly. Kind of silly. I think dogs are silly, right? They have more— usually, not always— active personalities. Hmm. A little bit silly. And cats are sassy. They got attitude. All right, let's go to the next page if you're ready. Oh, does sassy mean arrogant? Not always. I think it's a little bit different. Sassy is just like, like having a bit of an attitude. Having a bit of an attitude. Arrogant is more like bragging, like, I'm so great, I'm the best at everything. That's arrogant. Hmm, I would say that's closer— like, smug is a little bit closer to arrogant as well. Smug is like, hmm, I'm amazing, I'm better than all of you. Sassy can be kind of funny sometimes. It doesn't mean arrogant always. Can be, but not always. Sassy can be funny, like, don't say that to me, don't do that. Something like this can be sassy. What did you say? That can be sassy. Arrogant and smug. You think other people are lower than you. You're welcome. Oh, Garden Kings. Yes, growing up I had many pets. We always had at least one dog and at least one cat. I also had pet hamsters. I had pet bunnies. I love animals. I had a pet fish. I even loved my pet fish. I cried when it died. I loved that fish. When my fish died, I joked that I should never have a dog because I cried so hard when my fish died as an adult. This was like 2 years ago, and I cried when my fish died 2 years ago. And I thought, wow, I can never have a dog because I will be so heartbroken if it ever died. But I love animals. I will definitely get a dog one day. Oh, ho ho is a sassy girl. Okay, ho, nothing wrong with being a little sassy. All right. Oh, hi Natalie. Oh, Natalie, I think it takes a lot of practice. That's the main point. Lots of practice and listening a lot. Okay, you gotta listen a lot and study new vocabulary if you can, but getting used to the speed. We have on our page Lunch Hour English. It's a new series, so you can hear my friends and I speaking very naturally at a regular pace. So maybe you'll like that, Natalie. Lots of listening practice, I think, is great for that. All right, everybody, let's move on to our next page. Okay, ready? Here we go. She giggled as the dog started running but couldn't go anywhere. Its legs were moving, but on the ice, its feet just kept sliding over the same spot. Josh, you have to see this, she called out, but there was no reply. The snow was coming down faster and faster. Soon it was really deep. She saw people with shovels trying to clean the sidewalk or an area next to the street so they could park their car. Okay, this really makes me feel nostalgic because when I was a kid, I had to shovel. That was the bad part about snow days. I know I said I love snow days, but I would wake up in my dad's would make me go and shovel our driveway. So my sister and I would be shoveling the snow of our driveway. Oh, it's very tiring, very hard. But later he got a machine that does it much more easily. It's called a snow blower. And you just push a button and it takes all the snow away. So, oh, I was so happy when he got that machine. Oh, it's fun. Wah, Yi Sun Suk. Wow, you're amazing. It's a good workout, I'll say that. I don't know if I agree that it's fun, but it's a good workout. Hmm, all right, let's continue. Next page. Some people were walking with open umbrellas that looked like they were made of thick white cotton candy. She licked her lips as she imagined how good a cotton candy umbrella would taste. Again, she saw the cat and dog slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. She thought for a second and tried to say slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk 3 times very fast without making a mistake. Wow, that is hard! She thought to herself. So she made a little tongue twister. Is anybody good at tongue twisters? Tongue twisters, like when you have a lot of the same sounds and you have to say it really fast. Oh, Natalie is good at the tongue twisters. Nope, not good. Me neither, Chloe. Let's try this one together. Okay, so in the story, here's a tongue twister. Practice it. I'll try it with you. Slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Okay, 3 times fast. I'm gonna try. I'm genuinely gonna try this. Okay. Here we go, 3 times. Slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Woo! Okay, I slipped up a little bit on the second one there. I kind of had a mistake on the second one, but not bad, not bad. That's hard. Slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Did you guys try? So hard. Exactly. It's like the S sound going over and over again. I have another tongue twister for you. So this tongue twister, it seems very easy. Because it's only two words, but for me it is the hardest tongue twister, I swear. Okay, ready? This tongue twister is unique New York. Unique New York. So you have to try to say unique New York like 5 times fast. I always mess it up. I'll try. Okay. Unique New York. Unique New York. Unique New York. Unique New York. New York. Unique New York. See, I always get it wrong at some point. Oh, I did okay until the last one. Unique New York. Unique New York. New York. See, I didn't even get to 3 that time. It's so hard. I don't know why that is the hardest tongue twister. I can't do it. Unique New York, unique New York, unique New York, unique New York, unique New York. So hard. Two words. Doesn't make sense. My tongue hurts. Me too, Natalie. That was hard. Mm, thank you. So it's not just me. It's so hard. Hmm, so hard. Oh my gosh, Chloe, is that a Korean tongue twister? Oh my God. Okay, wait, let me get a closer look here. Handa cream, get a drink of water. Okay. What is this? Ganjang gongjang gongjangjang. Oh my gosh, no way. Ganjang gongjang gongjangjang. I don't even know if I'm pronouncing that right. That's so difficult. Wow, I need to practice that one, Chloe. Ganjang gongjang. I'm determined. Ganjang gongjang gongjangjang. Oh, dead. Okay, good night guys, story time is over. I'm dead. That's so hard. Just kidding guys, I will finish the story. That's a really tough one though. I should practice some Korean tongue twisters. That's a good challenge. Okay, let's continue. Okay. Farther up the street, she saw a man with two little boys starting to roll little balls of snow into big ones. What are they doing? she mumbled to herself. She watched them for several more minutes as they stacked the balls of snow on top of one another. She pressed her nose against the window for a closer look. A snowman! she shrieked with joy. They are building a snowman! So she shrieked with joy, that means she yelled with joy. Okay, she said it very loudly. A snowman! She shrieked. She yelled. Hmm. Oh, I love building snowmen. So fun. All right, next page. Mom, can I go out and play? Sally yelled out to her mother. Dress warm, her mother replied. 'Be sure to stay close and come in before dark.' In under a minute, Sally was outside playing with her friends and having a lot of fun. Oh, she wasn't bored anymore either. Mm, okay, so she's outside and she's enjoying it. What's your favorite winter activity? When it's winter in Korea, or if you're somewhere else in the US, what do you do for fun in winter? Yi Sunsook, same as my mom, dress warm. Ski. Oh wow, skiing. Oh my gosh, two of you like Skiing. Wow. I tried skiing once. It's so difficult. I went and I didn't know how to stop. So I was going so fast down the hill. Everyone was like yelling at me, like my friends. They were like, that's so unsafe. Don't do that. I was like, I can't stop. I don't know what to do. Snowmen. Driven Life. I do too. Building a snowman is classic. It's a must-do in winter. Snowball fights. Yeah, yeah, that's another good one. I like snowball fights. So Jung. Snowboarding. Oh, that's hard too. That's so cool. You guys are athletic. Snow angels. Taking a walk. Eunho. Looking at all the beautiful scenery. Making an igloo or a snow fort. I did that all the time as a kid. Snow duck. Oh yes, I saw this in Korea. It's so cute. I've never seen that before until I spent winter in Korea. So cute. Oh, ice fishing, Eden. So cool. Oh, eating bunga bong. Delicious. That's a good winter food. Wow. Why is this making me excited for winter? I just said I hate winter. Now I'm excited. You guys somehow made me excited for winter, and I don't even like winter, but it sounds fun. Okay, let's go to the next page. The afternoon passed. And Sally's mother knew she would be coming in soon. She also knew that she would probably be chilly and would appreciate a hot cup of cocoa. Her mother thought for a second as she looked out the window to check on Sally. Okay, quick point. Notice how I pronounced hot cocoa. Okay, so I know in Korean it's pronounced cocoa, right? I hear this a lot. Hot cocoa. Let's drink some cocoa, I think, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. You can tell me if I'm wrong, but I think in Korean I hear cocoa. Okay, right. Okay, cool. I thought I heard that. I'm glad I'm not just making that up. So, but in English, even though there's an A, C-O-C-O-A, we still don't say cocoa, just cocoa. Okay, so hot cocoa or hot chocolate. But oh, let's drink some hot cocoa. So if you're saying, if you're saying it in English, watch your pronunciation. Hot cocoa. Exactly, cocoa. Very good. Hot cocoa. Oh, I love hot cocoa. Oh yes, the marshmallows and hot cocoa, that's the best, best combo. Hot cocoa. All right, next page. All of a sudden, Josh heard his mother laughing. Josh, you have to come and see this, she chuckled. He did, and they both laughed at the dog chasing the cat and slipping and sliding on the slippery sidewalk. Okay, so it says she chuckled. Any guesses what chuckled means? She chuckled. What could chuckled mean? Oh, that's okay, Driven Life. Kokoa. I can see why. It has an A at the end. It makes sense to say kokoa. I don't know why it's coco. Exactly, Hande Krim. Laugh. So she chuckled. It's like a little laugh, like, haha, haha, haha. So kind of a small laugh to yourself. Chuckle. Different to grin. Yes, good point. Grin means smile. I'm grinning. Chuckle means like a small laugh. Hahaha, hahaha, chuckle. Good question. All right, next page. Josh, I am going to make some hot cocoa for your sister when she comes in. Would you like a cup? You bet, replied Josh. His mother always made the best hot cocoa. Hmm, now let me see which special recipe should I use from my Pick and Sip hot cocoa recipes, their mother thought as she looked over their favorites. Okay, so it says, you bet. So, would you like a cup of hot cocoa? You bet. That means yes. Definitely, yes. Would you like to hear a bedtime story? You bet, yes. Would you like to build a snowman? Do you want to build a snowman? Sorry, I'm in the Disney concert mindset still that I went to yesterday. But do you want to build a snowman? You bet. Okay, you bet. Sorry, I don't know why I randomly sang. I apologize, I'm not a singer. Maybe you guys will exit now. I see my live audience going down after singing. What's happening? Everyone's leaving after I sing. Kidding, kidding. Okay, thank you, Maureen. You are too kind, too kind. All right, next page. So, pick and sip hot cocoa. Basic hot cocoa ingredients. So ingredients are the individual product or that go into making a recipe. So this makes about 2 large or 3 medium-sized servings. All right, it's got a bunch of measurements here. So an eighth of a cup of cocoa powder, a fourth of a cup of sugar, an eighth of a teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of water, 2 cups of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Okay, next page. The directions. How to make it: In a medium-sized pot, mix together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in water. Cook over medium heat and stir it constantly until it starts to boil. Continue stirring the mixture for another 1 to 1.5 minutes. Add milk and stir constantly until hot, but do not boil. Remove from heat, add the vanilla, and whisk until foamy. Pour into your favorite mugs, serve, and enjoy. Okay, so the directions say stir it constantly. Constantly means without stopping. Okay, so stir it constantly until it boils, until it bubbles, right? Boil means like bubble. So stir it without stopping until it bubbles constantly. No stopping. Constantly. Okay, next page. Pick and Sip Variations. Add the following ingredients when you mix in the vanilla extract. Okay, so these are different kinds of hot cocoa. Variations means different types or different kinds. Let's see. Pirate's Pleasure. One splash. So splash is just a little bit. Usually we say splash for wet things like milk or water, but this says one splash of ground cinnamon, one splash of nutmeg, and then it explains what this— splash. Coco Moco Coco— oh, sorry, Loco Mocha Coco, you add in instant coffee. For the Southern Belle, you add in mint extract. For Fruit Frenzy, you add in a little bit of your favorite fruit extract, so your favorite fruit like juice. Extract is similar to juice, like orange or cherry. For the Northwoods, it's maple syrup. And for the Busy Bee, it's honey. Wow, I never knew there were so many ways to make hot cocoa, but I guess these are all different hot cocoa recipes. I kind of want to try them later. If you have the PDF, maybe you can try this recipe this winter. I might. Okay, next page. All right, hot cocoa toppers. So what can we put on top? Whipped cream, marshmallows. Whipped cream or marshmallows sprinkled with sugar or candy bits in softened ice cream. And then we also have stirrers: cinnamon stick, candy cane, or a licorice whip. Mm. So you can stir those in. All right, next page, our last page, you guys. Oh, hello, those of you that just joined. I am finishing up a bedtime story. If you can see, I'm reading a bedtime story. So enjoy the last page. You're just in time for the end of the story. All right, let's read the last page together if you have the PDF. All right. I think I'll make the Southern Belle hot cocoa topped with vanilla ice cream and use a candy cane stirrer. She said to herself. Just as she finished cooking, the door opened and a red-cheeked Sally came in and took off her gloves, coat, hat, scarves, and boots. What's that wonderful smell? Sally said with a smile. I hope it's what I think it is. All three sat and sipped the hot cocoa while Sally told them about her adventures outside. Sally giggled and said, "And I thought I was bored." All right, the end, everybody! The end! Oh, I'm sorry, the book is finished. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Wow, did you guys like the story? I liked it. Oh, Driven Life, thank you. I'm honored to have you here. I hope you join my future lives as well. What's the consensus? Who liked the story? Well, I guess you can't raise your hand. Why am I raising my hand? I can't see you raise your hand. Yay! I loved this story. It made me excited for winter. Now I want to drink hot cocoa and do all the winter activities you guys talked about. Thank you guys so much for joining. Ah, your son likes it. So cool. I'm glad your son enjoyed it. That's great. Thank you guys. Thank you, thank you so much. Wow, it means so much to me that you guys took time and spent your Sunday evening with me. I'm so touched, really. All right, everybody, have a wonderful rest of your evening. Good night, and hopefully I will be doing another live soon. I will keep you posted. Oh, good to hear that, Marin. Thank you guys so much. See you next time. Thank you, thank you. Fighting this week, right? Fighting. Good night everyone, see you next live. Bye-bye.
