Today I am shopping at IKEA. I don't actually need anything so I'm just here to browse. I haven't been here in forever so I'm excited to see what they have. Let's head in. I move around a lot so I never really get to personalize my space. Or make it feel like me. One day I'd love to buy a fixer-upper and do some renovations and remodeling like tearing out walls, redoing the kitchen, laying new flooring, and adding a fresh coat of paint. Oh, I really like this living room. Warm lighting like this makes space feel very cozy and inviting. I'm not a big fan of harsh overhead lights at home. A nice lamp like this can totally change the vibe of a room. It's like looking into the future. I can see myself here.
Where's my dinner?
Oh, your dinner? That's all the way over in the kitchen. We have a huge house. So let's go. I'm exhausted. That was such a long walk from our living room to our kitchen. That's the problem with having a mansion. The kitchen is always my favorite part of any house. I used to love cooking and the kitchen is usually where a lot of people gather so it's a very important part The kitchen is the heart of any house. Having a big, nice kitchen like this one day is my dream. Honey, you're home! Our chef couldn't make it today, so I was going to whip up something quick and easy like filet mignon and lobster. What do you think? I'm the Lulu right now. Let me be the Lulu in peace, okay? A girl can dream. I think I found the cameraman's favorite room. Cameraman, are you practicing editing my videos?
Going to say yo.
Get to work. Yoshimihei. Let's test your vocab a little bit throughout this vlog. What do you call these? These are called faucets. What do you call this? This is a shower head. This is where you put your dirty clothes. It's called a hamper. How about this? This is called a strainer. What do you call these? These are called food containers, but in everyday English, a lot of people call it Tupperware. Tupperware is actually the name of a brand that sells a lot of food containers and other kitchen supplies. Last one because this one is a fun word. What do you call this? This is called A squeegee. I just love that word. It sounds so silly. In the US, a lot of people are really into doing DIY projects in their homes. DIY stands for do it yourself. There's even a TV channel called HGTV which stands for Home and Garden Television. On that channel, they have a ton of shows of people doing home makeovers, flipping houses, and house hunting. Behind me are some tools commonly used when doing DIY projects. I see a level, a power drill, a hammer, and nails, but you'll also probably need a measuring tape. They have a lot of pull-out couches here at IKEA. I actually have some trauma from an IKEA pull-out couch. I built one all by myself. It was so heavy and hard. I'm surprised I didn't throw my back out. Building IKEA furniture is not for the weak, but I did it. I'm so proud of myself. I notice a lot of the furniture here has a very minimalist feel to it, and although I'm trying to live like a minimalist these days, my favorite style of home is actually the opposite— maximalist. In maximalist rooms, you'll find a lot of little trinkets, bold colors, fun patterns. And mixing and matching different styles. It sounds a little crazy, but if it's done right, it's really fun and whimsical. All right, vlog's over. Good night, everyone. I could use a nap. It's quite comfortable. This mattress is a little bit firm, but I like it.
Okay.
Let's keep going. Oh my gosh! They have bunk beds here. I had a bunk bed when I was a kid and I used to love sleeping on the top bunk. This one is really cool because instead of having another bed on the bottom they have a little loveseat. A loveseat is a 2-person sofa. It's a cute word, isn't it? I think they call it a loveseat since it's small. You have to get really close to the person next to you. Come on, cameraman. Sit next to me.
Huh?
Wow, you're ditching me. Ooh, I really like this bedroom. It's mostly black and white, but they added some pops They have a green throw pillow and a red chair. I also love how they mix and match different patterns here. They have a polka dot blanket and a striped pillow. Very nice. These are all fake plants. This is the perfect section for me because I love how plants can brighten up a room, but I don't exactly have a green thumb. This whole room is full of stuffed animals. I spotted my favorite animal. Any guesses what it is? An elephant! It's so cute. Can he come home with us? That's bigger than me. Yeah, he is pretty big. Let's see if we can find a smaller one. How much is it? Ooh, three thousand nine hundred. Not bad. Let's get one. I can't leave here empty-handed, right? I need to buy something.
Wow.
Of course, we need the Swedish meatballs. Look at how many vegan options there are. I'm actually a first timer. I've never eaten. Eaten at IKEA before. It's so cool that you get a cart for your food. I know that every vlog becomes a mukbang, but I couldn't leave without grabbing a quick bite at the food court. I've heard that IKEA's meatballs are a must. I love that they have a little Swedish flag here. I traveled to Sweden a long time ago and I loved it there. That is very tart. I think it's cranberry maybe. Let's try a meatball, the main event here. Okay, it's pretty good. I really like the creamy sauce but I I wish they had more gravy. Usually I love my mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. Let's see what I like more, the chicken or the meatballs. Mmm, I really like this sauce, whatever it is. It's a little bit spicy. I can't decide. I like them both.
Is it grilled evenly?
Yes, it is cooked perfectly. Evenly cooked, very complex flavor profile. The chef's intention was well delivered here. 감사합니다.
Aren't you full?
I always have room for dessert, especially for soft serve. Mmm, it's banana and blueberry swirl. That's a wrap on my trip to IKEA. I didn't buy much, but I got a lot of inspiration for my future home. Thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time. Bye!
Hello?
Hey, are you free tonight?
Maybe.
What's up?
I was thinking we could go out, dinner and maybe a movie.
Aw, that sounds fun. Let me check. Yeah, I think I can squeeze you in.
Perfect, see you tonight.
Sounds good, bye! Get ready with me to go on a date with my husband. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and married for 3. We live together, work together, and basically do everything together, but it's rare for us to go on an actual date, so I'm really excited. We're going out for drinks, dinner and a movie, so it's a very classic date tonight. Back in high school, I had the biggest crush on the same guy for years, and he finally asked me out, and I was so excited. We had a lot of mutual friends, so we hung out at parties, but we never hung out one-on-one before, so I was really nervous, and this was kind of a big deal for me. He was driving to my friend's house to drop me off there and along the way he threw a plastic pop bottle out of his window. I hate littering so much so that was a huge turn-off for me. I got so mad I made him stop the car and I got out and picked it up myself. And the worst part was he didn't even apologize or offer to help. He just sat in his car and watched me pick up his trash. That was an immediate deal-breaker for me. It might have given him the ick too because I never got asked out on a second date, but it's probably for the best. My makeup is done. I'm on a bit of a time crunch, so I'm going to do my hair and get dressed very quickly. This is my final look. My date even came to pick me up. Oh my gosh, what a gentleman!
I live here.
Hey, don't ruin it. We're wearing matching outfits tonight, but obviously I got dressed first and he just copied me.
Don't lie to people.
Time to go. The place we planned on going to is closed. Of course. So we're heading to Fuzzy Navel to try some of their winter cocktails. We got our cocktails and these look intense. This one looks like a chocolate milkshake. Smells strong. Good luck.
Cheers. Ooh.
I prepared a small game for us tonight. Since we're teaching dating English, we can answer some dating-themed questions. Go ahead and pick one.
What celebrity do you think you could pull? Pull?
Pull means get as a boyfriend or girlfriend, or like be able to go on a date with. Let's see your level of confidence.
I mean, I have my favorite celebrity.
Who?
Callie Sim. Cut!
You're full of it. You're full of it. Come on, give me something real.
I don't want to get any hate comments here, okay?
Okay, okay.
Have you ever ghosted someone or been ghosted? Hmm, I don't think I have either way.
That's good. Me too, actually. I hate goxing. No, I've never. Okay, okay. I promise. You know, I'm I would be the worst at it. I tell everything. Can't help but talk.
I'm a talker.
What's a major red flag for you?
So if a girl does this, like nope, can't date her.
Someone who never appreciates something and then kind of take advantage of like my effort.
I'll make sure I say thank you when you pay for the bill tonight.
Hint hint. Anything for you?
For me, this is very general, but just rudeness. Being rude, having no manners, especially if we're on a date. The man is very rude to the waiter or waitress.
I complain a lot sometimes.
You do, but not in a Way where you're putting someone down, like you're fair.
I do speak up.
That was fun.
I want our subscribers to write their experience too.
What's a major red flag for you? Let us know in the comments. We finished our drinks and got the bill. Quick question: In Korea, who usually pays?
The girls?
You're such a liar. In the US, it really depends. Some people are totally fine splitting the bill, and then some people still expect the guy to always pay. Personally, I think whoever asked for the date should be responsible for the bill. In that case, it's you tonight. Thank you. I know you said not to be Being appreciated is a red flag. So thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Now we're heading to dinner. We're going to a Hong Kong-style restaurant since that's where we met. Are you kidding me, bro? No, that's all right. Let's be spontaneous. This is more fun. Our favorite spot in Busan, it's called Mica Tuka, and it is very authentic Mexican. We come here very often and they're open, most importantly. We got our first dish. It's chilaquiles. Looks spicy.
Pretty good.
So, like, you remember our first date ever?
Wow, that was horrible. I remember very vividly.
We were at a party together and we hit it off. Right away, and then you made the first move and asked me out on a date. Well, kinda. I expressed interest and told him I wanted to go on a date.
Then we were supposed to go to Victoria's Peak, kind of popular tourist attraction in Hong Kong. And then I was kind of nervous.
Why?
I thought you were gonna steal me up, or I don't know.
I would never stand you up.
Come on.
So yeah, we went to Victoria's Peak, and it was in Interesting first date. It was actually very similar to our date tonight. Everything went wrong. It was a little bit disastrous.
The weather there was awful.
You go there for the view of the skyline, and there was no view because of the fog.
And I remember we bought, uh, french fries with cheese, and it was completely soggy.
We didn't get a fork, so we were like—
Yeah, then I didn't know where to go, so I was like, oh. Oh, I thought that you were gonna— wow, after this we're not going to see each other probably.
No, I love those kinds of dates, to be honest. Like, those are the most memorable dates, and I thought it was hilarious. I could tell that you were kind of like bummed out by these things, so I thought that was actually really cute. 감사합니다.
I'll say this is the best taco in Busan for sure.
It's al pastor with cheese.
Must try.
You won't regret it.
Cheers.
Cheers. I guess our first date was a disaster, this date was a disaster, but it all ended well because after Victoria's Peak, we kind of started like seeing each other casually. It was like a situationship.
No, but you totally friend-zoned me though.
Okay, I did.
Just for a little while though.
You play hard to get.
You have to, you know. The chase is part of the fun. Okay, we got our last dish, elote. Corn on the cob with mayo, cheese, and chili. I feel like this is a bad date food. It's so messy.
Wow. What's next?
The movies. We gotta look for showtimes and tickets.
You didn't?
I wasn't sure what you'd want to watch, so I was being considerate in waiting for you. You're welcome.
What do you want to watch?
Zootopia?
Oh yeah, Zootopia or The Housemaid. Okay, no Zootopia, no Housemaid.
Is it a revenge from Victoria's Peak?
Janganman! You know what is showing tonight? Solo Joke season finale! How about it? You're in? That means you're in?
Popcorn is on you.
We're back home in our PJs, snuggled up in bed, and ready to watch the season finale of Singles Inferno. I think this is our dream date these days.
Yes.
Who are your favorite people on the show?
I like Soobin.
I love watching Mina Soo. She's the main character here, but I really love Heesun. I think she is so underrated. She just has such a quiet confidence. And I really admire that. And for the guys, I think—
Go ahead.
My type—
Your type?
Would be Egon. He has really good banter, very playful and flirty.
He's funny.
He is. I like his personality. I think that would draw me in. I would fall for that. We'll see what happens. I'm excited. That's a wrap on date night tonight. We're gonna watch our show and go to bed. It was kind of chaotic and nothing went as planned, but I still had a lot of fun. See you next time and good night!
Good night!
Who is MinaSue gonna choose? Today I'm going to show you what I spend in a day in Hanoi, Vietnam. I'll teach you money-related English expressions along the way. Right now I'm waiting for a taxi. To go get my nails done. Thank you.
Bye bye.
That was about a ten-minute taxi ride, and it cost seventy thousand dong. I'm not exactly sure of the exchange rate, so let me check. It cost two dollars and seventy six cents USD. That's pretty cheap. Usually when I get my nails done, it's a bit of a splurge, but I have no idea what it costs here, so let's go in and find out. Too short, right? Yeah.
A few moments later.
I'm obsessed with these nails. This was the cost, 908,000 dong, which is roughly 35 USD. Usually when I get my nails done, it's pretty pricey, but this was honestly a steal. The amount of detail and attention they paid to my nails was incredible, and I'm so satisfied. I'm pretty hungry now, so I'm gonna head to the Old Quarter Quarter to grab some lunch.
It's closed.
Closes at two, and it's three o'clock now. Okay, next place.
Yes.
I made it to the Old Quarter. I took a taxi here, but actually this one was free because my friend Gonzalo paid for it. Thank you, Gonzalo.
You're welcome, Kelly. Gonzalo from Mexico, but living in Hanoi for the five years. Being best friend of this for the past thirteen.
So bun cha is very popular in Hanoi, right?
Yeah, I would say like day-to-day food.
Perfect. I'm excited to try.
Okay, so take some noodles.
Okay.
You can get some veggies as well.
Mm-hmm.
Bon appétit.
It's good.
So good.
Okay, trying to get the perfect. Perfect bite here. Here we go.
What do you think?
Really delicious. I like it. The meat is really nice. Let me at least make eye contact with someone. Let's do it. Chioi, chioi. Good idea.
Chioi.
Tintian.
I say it right just to try it. I gotta. Do they take card here? Cash only? Cameraman, thank you. Oh, not enough though, right?
Not enough.
It's 180, that's 10.
Oh, this is 10. Thank you, Gonzalo. I'm sorry, I wanted it to be on me this time since you paid for the taxi. Next time it's on me. Okay, I'll get cash.
And next time we can go Dutch.
Okay, okay.
Is it common to split the bill in Vietnam?
Yes, it's quite common. Someone will pay and afterwards people will transfer to that person.
I like the Korean style more. The oldest always pays and that's usually him.
Cameraman, you're like in a big debt.
Like at the restaurant we got 2 big bowls of bun cha. And three bottles of water, and it costs 190,000 dong, which is about seven U.S. dollars. Pretty good bang for your buck if you ask me. We are heading to a cafe because I need some caffeine in my system. So beautiful. We paid 120,000 dong for 3 coffees and a piece of banana bread, which is about $4.50 USD. It looks super fancy, but it's still very affordable.
Welcome to Vietnam.
Cheers!
Cheers! I don't taste the egg. I, I thought it was going to be like powerful egg taste. But it's good, it's very subtle. This is very traditional Vietnamese coffee, right?
It is. It's a Trung Cafe, which literally translates as egg coffee.
I like it. Not as much as salt coffee though. That's still my favorite. Okay, so while we drink, I'm going to ask you a few questions about your life in Hanoi. So you've been living in Hanoi for the past 6 years?
Yes, and it's been great. I love it.
Can I ask how much you pay for rent?
Sure, I get a 1-bedroom apartment and I pay 8.5 million.
In USD, that's roughly $450. Wow, but he has a very nice apartment with a beautiful terrace. What's included in your rent?
Usually in Hanoi, you can rent a service apartment, meaning that it's fully furnished. You get help with cleaning once or twice a week.
Can I ask what is like the average wage of an English teacher here in Hanoi?
It's usually paid by the hour, like hourly. It can be something from $20 to $28, depends on qualifications, school.
To live comfortably for a month in Hanoi, how much money do you need?
I would say depends on where you want to live and the kind of apartment that you would like to get. For example, a 1-bedroom apartment would be something in between 8 million to 15 million. Price from a studio, which be much more cheaper, 6, 7 million. Even though Hanoi is known as budget-friendly, there are also luxury options that could be much more expensive. For groceries, every week I spend around 4 mil, but that's because I eat a lot. You can get food for a dollar or even less. And electricity depends on the month. Usually in In summer it would be around 2 to 3 mil. In winter it would be around a mil.
If I have $1,000 USD, would I be able to live comfortably for a month here?
I would say yes. With $1,000, you can totally live comfortably here, pay for groceries, rent, get your nails done.
That's wild.
I'm moving to Hanoi.
You are always welcome.
Let us in! This time it's not my fault. The regular market was closed so I came to the Lunar New Year Market. Let's see what kind of goodies we can find here. Wow, it's so packed here and chaotic before the holiday, but it's very exciting and festive so I love it. In markets like this, is it normal to haggle or is it kind of rude to talk I would say it's okay to, to bark the price a little.
However, once you agree with the price, you cannot change it.
In English, if you want to try to get a bargain, first I would just ask, how much is this? And then you can maybe say something like, can I get a small discount? Or how about $5 for 2 of these?
Out the price. Vendor would say five, and you could say three, and then the vendor would say four.
So that's an English tip: know your numbers.
Four, hai, ba, bốn.
Not Vietnamese numbers. I'm an English channel, bro.
One, two, three, four.
There we go. Excuse me. How much is this one? Oh, fifty thousand. Can we get a discount if we buy five rings? 40. How much are these?
50.
30? Okay.
No?
35?
No?
Okay. 300? Okay.
Thank you so much.
Happy New Year.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you. I bought a few rings. It was kind of an impulse buy. I paid 300, but I got 6 rings. Did I get ripped off? Tell me the truth.
No, you didn't. It was such a good price. You're so good at negotiating in markets.
Oh, was I being a cheapskate?
Yes.
I was being frugal, okay? You told me that it's good to negotiate here, so I was just following the culture. I mean, it's a good deal for you because 4 of them are yours, so—
For me?
Oh, don't act shocked. Take this ring on your pinky finger. Bling bling! I came to Hanoi's famous Beer Street to grab a beer. It was 35,000 dong, which is about $1.30. It is so crazy and chaotic and wild here, and I absolutely love it. I really feel You can really feel the energy of the city here sitting on a tiny plastic stool, people watching, and enjoying a nice cold local beer.
Cheers!
Can we get the check please?
Yeah.
$1.30 for a beer. Even if you're broke, you can still enjoy a cold After the beer street, I grabbed a taxi and ordered food delivery on my way home. I ordered two kebabs, and the total came out to 313,000 dong, which is roughly 12 US dollars. If my calculations are correct. I spent about $75 US all day today. I'd say that's not too bad for a full day of travel. Now I'm going to eat my kebab and relax for the rest of the night. Thanks for watching. Goodbye! I'm on vacation in Foucault with my family. We're staying at a super fancy resort. Today I'm going to show you how we spend our day here. Welcome to my crib. Come on in. Welcome. As I said, I'm here with my family so this whole place is ours. We have 3 separate bedrooms, a common room, and our own private pool. I'll show you my bedroom first. The ceilings are The bed is super comfortable and we have a beautiful view of the pool.
Wow!
I think I can open this and dive into the pool from my bedroom. And this is the bathroom. We have a nice shower over here and then the toilet over here. It's not super good for privacy though. That's my only complaint So far. Next, I'll show you the common room. There's a living room over here with couches and a TV. We all sit here and talk a lot at night. We've got the nice kitchen complete with Shin Ramyun, of course. My mother-in-law brought these just in case of an emergency. If we get tired of Vietnamese food, We can eat some Shin Ramyun. And back here there is no shower or bathtub. It's just a toilet. We call that a half bathroom. Without a doubt, the best part of this place is the private pool. There's even a fountain in this pool. It's just not turned on right now. The public pool closes early, but we can swim anytime we want. in this pool. It's already super hot out so I'm going to head to the public pool and beach area to get in the water and cool down a bit. Let's go! It is such a beautiful day today and just look at the beautiful scenery here. Everything is just so green and fresh. I wanna lay out and get some sun, but I got a really bad sunburn yesterday. Ah, it stings! I found a lounge chair and I'm staying in the shade today. I'm putting on some sunscreen. Cameraman, can you get my back?
Ready.
I'm ready to swim. So I'm putting up my hair before I get in the water. I don't usually actually swim in the water. I just doggy paddle or float on a raft. I don't want to get my hair wet today so I'm not gonna go under. I'm wrapping myself in a towel to dry off. This is perfect. The only thing that would make it even better is a cocktail.
Uh, what time is it now?
Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere, okay? In the US, that's a very popular saying. If you want to have a drink earlier in the day but you feel a little bit guilty about it, you can say, it's 5 o'clock somewhere. That means somewhere in the world it's 5 PM, so it's okay to drink. Plus, I'm on vacation, so cocktails are acceptable at any time. Let's go get one. Hello, if I order a drink here, can it be brought to my chair over there?
Yeah.
Okay, thank you. Can I please get one Peach on the Beach and one Spicy Royale? And that's it. I'm going to read my book while I wait for my cocktail. I just started this new fantasy novel. It's called The House in the Cerulean Sea. It's about a man who is a case manager. He checks on orphanages. Sent to one special orphanage where the kids all have magical powers. So far it's pretty good. Thank you so much. This place is so bougie. They deliver food and drinks right to your chair. I ordered the spicy one for myself. Looks spicy. I guess I like to torture myself. Okay, here goes nothing. Oh, it has a little kick to it, but it's not bad. It's very refreshing. One cocktail for you, sir. Oh, thank you very much. You're welcome. No tip? No tip?
Okay.
I'm about to grab lunch with the fam, but there's one more place I want to show you on the way. Wow, looks so fun! There's a whole water park here in the resort. I think it's included with your room. Let's go see. Oh my gosh! Wow, I'm a bit dizzy after having a cocktail and going on a water slide. It was really fast. It was a great ride. I'm soaking wet though. I said I wasn't going to get my hair wet, and look at me—I'm drenched. Come on, cameraman! No, no. Cameraman, cameraman. Can I please get one bun cha and one grilled chicken? Yes. Okay. Can we get some water, please? Just still water. Still water. Yes, please. I'm trying to eat as much Vietnamese. Food as possible before we leave. It looks really delicious and I love how they always serve it with fresh herbs on the side. That bun cha hit the spot! I love eating local food whenever I travel. Since the restaurant was right by the beach, I decided to come here for a walk, take in the views, And burn some calories. One more swim? Do we have time? It's tempting, but we have plans tonight, so I have to go back to my room and try to get a little bit cleaned up. We're heading to the lobby now. I love riding the buggy. It's like a roller coaster. We're taking a bus to go to Sunset It's a double-decker bus, so I'm excited. I'm boarding the bus. We're going to the top level. I feel like a dog sticking its head out the window in the car. Duck! I have to duck because there are trees hitting the bus. Okay, I'm safe now.
Oh wow.
It's like a city square. This seems like a tourist hotspot. We're getting in a fancy buggy. I love the cobblestone streets here, but it makes for a bumpy ride. We're on a guided We're on a photo tour now. Our guide is taking us to all of the best photo spots around the city. He is a professional photographer, I swear. He's telling us how to pose and taking great photos of us. Look at these! We definitely got the shot. This is gonna be my new profile picture. Hello, can I get one coconut Frappuccino? Sold out. Then can I do the coconut dulce? Sold out. Oh my gosh. I wanted to get something that's only available in Vietnam, so I got cafe sueda. This is pretty good, so I'm content. Can we get one vegetarian spaghetti, one carbonara, crab cakes, and the baked Salmon, please. 자, 먹어시면 이다. I'm taking a stroll after dinner. It's so pretty all lit up at night here. There are lots of souvenir shops and restaurants and so many things to see and do. Oh, I left too early. 아, 심네. That was the grand finale, and we missed it. Can't tell now. It was a great fireworks show, though. We're going to another performance at nine o'clock, but we have some time to kill, so we stopped by a cafe and got some gelato for dessert. This is the perfect treat after dinner. It was a full day today, and we're all pretty exhausted. So we're heading back to the resort now. Thank you. Oh, mom saved us again. It was impossible to get a taxi here. Thank you! Good night! I wanted to go to the game room when we got back because it's lots of fun there. They have a pool table, a ping pong table, foosball, and they even have bowling there, but tonight I am just way too tired. I'm going to change into my PJs and go to bed. Thanks for spending the day with me. I'll see you next time!
Bye!
Today I'm going to be an intern at the global skincare company AccessY. I'll show you my experience as an office worker here in Seoul and teach you business English along the way. I'm about to hop on the subway to commute to the office. Luckily it's a straight shot so I don't have to transfer to another line. It's still rush hour so I wasn't able to snag a seat this time. I'm walking to the office now. I was told that AccessY employees have flexible working hours which is really great because I don't have Clock in at a certain time. Sorry guys, I'm quitting YouTube and starting my new job. 제상합니다. Just kidding, but I am really excited and a little bit nervous to be an intern for one day here. It's been a minute since I've worked in an office setting, so wish me luck, guys.
Welcome to Access One.
Hi.
Hi, I'm Eugene. Hi, I'm Callie. Nice to meet you. Thank you so much for coming, and I'll be your supervisor today. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. So today you'll be doing some event planning and also finding some influencers, and you're gonna help me a lot throughout the day.
I'm excited.
So here we have our branded cafe. A lot of people come here to get coffee and to get our amazing dessert and everything. But the special part about this cafe is that we also host a lot of offline events here. So we host Christmas parties, community events, and stuff like that. Yeah, feel free to come to our cafe whenever you have. I'm gonna show you our offline store as well. Okay. So here you can find all of our products, and we have our brand merchandise here. A lot of tourists come here actually for shopping, and here you can also test all of our products. Here we have a Small zone for testing. Oh wow! Yeah, it's a great selfie zone as well. Okay, now we are on the second floor. The ceiling is very high. It's very spacious, very cozy. So yeah, we love to stay here. The thing about XSY is that we have several different teams for different markets. So half of the employees that we have here are actually foreigners. So it's very international. Oh wow! Yeah. Now we have The designers, and we also have our operation team sitting here. And we also have the snack corner. Yeah, it's empty very fast because a lot of you just come here. Oh, misugaru. Cool. And then we have our cereal here. Now let's go to your seat.
I've got my very own desk here. I'm getting settled in now. Look at how many monitors there are. That's crazy. Hi. Kelly, hi.
You must be Kelly, right? Yeah.
How are you, intern today? So my name is Chiara. Today I'm gonna help you go through your task of the day.
Please let me know if you need anything. I'm gonna be always available to help you out.
Okay, thank you. So you're my lifeline today. That's true, I think so.
It's gonna be Valentine's Day, so we're organizing a PR campaign for this particular day. We prepared a really special PR set gift to send to our Collaborators all around the world. Any updates on this? Did you collect all the required addresses for this campaign? Yes, I actually added ten more macros and ten more micros.
Okay, perfect. I know you said you're shipping globally these packages. When is the deadline for that?
We have to take into consideration, for example, the customs because every country has a different rules. So usually we tend to prepare a List two months in advance. We start organizing the shipping list one month in advance, and with that we coordinate with the logistics team.
I'm actually planning an event in U.S., and you're gonna help me with that as well.
Can I ask what kind of event is it? Is it like a pop-up event?
We are working on it, so like not the details are confirmed yet. But yeah, I can just say that we're gonna have an event in L.A. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Thank you, everyone.
Hey, Callie.
Hi.
So one thing we're gonna work on is finding 30 to 35 influencers. You can go through some of the skincare and beauty-focused influencers. Since the event is gonna be in LA, it's really important that you take that into consideration. So people that are located in LA, you can write down your— their name, their TikTok or Instagram handle. You can also write down some notes if you want to let us know, like, some insights about them. You're more than welcome to do so.
Okay.
Good luck, and yeah, see you soon. Okay?
Okay, thank you so much.
Thank you.
I got my first task, so it's time to get down to business. I'm gonna use ChatGPT to do this task. It's time for my lunch break. I'm having a lunch with the team today. I'm excited and I'm very hungry. Let's go. By the way, all my vlogs end up turning into mukbangs. I'm like, wait, we're like furniture shopping. How am I eating now? We just finished lunch and now we're heading to grab some coffee. I need a boost of caffeine to get me through the rest of the day. Oh hey! Hello! So today I was granted the Points that I can use, and like if I'm over and I was over last month, I have to pay my own back. But like I have like a very big discount. Jeez, girl! How many coffees are you drinking? Every day, every day, every day. It's okay. I'm the intern, guys. I'm the intern. This is the intern's job. The holiday is coming up. Do you guys have any plans?
I think I'm gonna stay at home, rest a bit because I just came back from a long trip. So I want to spend my time with my family.
I'm planning on going to New York.
I'm sure it's gonna be really exciting and definitely the way to practice English.
I'm going to Vietnam. Yeah, I have a friend living in Hanoi, so I'll go see him for like 5 days. Do you guys have anyone from Vietnam working here? Oh yeah, we do. Yeah, we do. So cool. It's just crazy how global you guys are. So a lot of our subscribers A lot of our subscribers are studying English and trying to join a global company, so do you have any advice?
So I think it's very important to know the professional terms in English because especially when you have to talk to people outside of work or even your like managers, like it's important to, you know, keep the boundary and also to know like how to deliver your message in a very professional and polite way. Yeah.
I do have a very straightforward suggestion. Use AI. The way that you communicate is very important, especially in an office setting. So if you're not sure about your writing, you can really use AI. Collaborative, professional, native— all of these adjectives can really help the AI craft your message better. And then you will start learning how to craft professional messages that come across correctly.
Maybe in the beginning you depend on AI more, but then you start to to eventually be able to do it yourself.
So I would say don't be afraid to speak. No one is going to judge you. People who are native speakers are gonna appreciate that you're trying to speak their language. Just put away your pride or your fears and just try.
I want to add something. If you do not understand certain words, please don't be afraid to ask because that shows that you are listening, right? You will learn something new, and the other person will also feel like you are engaged in the So they will not be offended.
That's a really good way to think about it. Thank you guys so much.
Hi, Callie, how is it going?
Good, I think.
Can we have a look at what you worked on today? Sure, yeah, yeah, I can show you. I also would like to give you some feedback.
Okay, should we do it here or—
Uh, we can go to the main room and check it together.
Okay, thank you.
Okay, let's have a look at what you did. So we have 10 people here and they are all from different tiers.
That's I did make sure they were all LA-based or in the surrounding areas. And at first I focused only on like skincare niche, but then I kind of expanded it and looked into not just skincare, but lifestyle.
Yeah.
That kind of thing.
Makes sense. Yeah, it's good. I just want you to like fill out a little bit more maybe. And I think next time you can also mention on the notes like what their content sounds like. Yeah, like we'll just need to have some more data to really see who we can invite.
Okay, when do you need that by?
By the end of today, before you check in maybe.
Okay, sounds good. No problem.
Thank you.
I just got a message on Slack from my supervisor saying that she wants me to test some products. I think it feels good as well.
So Callie, how was today?
It was lovely. Yeah, honestly, I mean, as you could probably tell, I'm quite clueless in this line of work, but you guys were so helpful and I learned a lot today. So thank you so much for your guidance.
First-time intern in this beauty company?
Absolutely, yeah.
Amazing job.
So I'll see you tomorrow then? Yeah, of course. Thank you guys so much for watching today. I hope you learned some very useful business English words and phrases that you can use in your work life as well. See you next time. Bye! Enjoy your products, okay? See you next time. Bye-bye! I'm so touched right now. They were sprinting down this road to give me this. That's so nice. Today I am at one of the The biggest and best ginger bongs in all of Korea, Spa Land in Busan. I love Korean spas, and this one is super fancy, so I'm excited to explore, rest, and recharge a bit. When I paid for my ticket, they gave me a wristband. Everything here is cashless, so if I want to buy something, I just Just have to tap this wristband. Behind me is the hottest room here. I'm kind of scared to try it, but go big or go home, right? It's 68 degrees Celsius, so it's scorching hot. Let's see how long I can handle this heat. Inner peace. I'm getting sweaty. I'm dying. Let's get out of here. It got even hotter after I went in there. I was struggling in there, but all the imos made it look so easy. It didn't even faze them. Let's head to the ice room to cool off. I'm going from 70 degrees To ten degrees, but I'm from Michigan, so this should be no problem. I've got this. It's freezing. I've got goosebumps on my arm, and my teeth are chattering. I'm a wimp. Let's go back to the hot room. Oh my gosh! I lied earlier because I found an e. Even hotter room. It's called the bulgama, and it's 75 degrees Celsius. I'm not gonna lie; I'm terrified. I feel like I'm suffocating. I can't breathe. Let's go, Bali, Bali. Does my face look like a tomato now? I've done extremely hot rooms, an extremely cold room. I think it's time to find a happy medium. This is more my speed. It's not too hot, not too cold. It's just right. I'm dehydrated. I need some shikai. Let's head to the snack bar. Shikai hana ranku. I love shipae. So good. I'm gonna find a spot to sit and rest and enjoy my snack. I have to make one of these towel hats. I love that they call it a sheep head. They have very nice clear instructions. I'm going to follow the instructions and make My sheep head hat. Lay the towel flat. Fold it into thirds lengthwise. Roll both ends inward. Okay. And flip it open in the middle. Let's see how I did. Not too bad. I'm proud of myself. They're so cute. I'm gonna crack the egg. It's actually painful. I swear I've seen Koreans do this. How?
Yeah, no.
Shikae and hard-boiled egg. This is a killer combo. There's an outdoor foot bath. It's really cold outside, but they offer jackets for you to wear. How do I look? Fit check. Do you need a jacket? Oh, camera guy's cool. Too tough. Okay, cool guy, let's see. Oh, let's write a message. I'm using chalk to write a message on the chalkboard. Kelly Sam was here. Where to first? They have Different colored foot baths here. They have a pink one, a blue one. I'm getting in the greenish yellowish one. I guess the different colors are just for fun and to look cool. Feels good though. Ow! Of course I have to test out the hammock. I feel like I'm in a little cocoon. Just leave me in peace here, please. Dạ đi ga. Oh, that's good. That's not too aggressive. Not too aggressive. Okay. These stones hurt. I know walking on these little pebbles is a type of reflexology, and it's supposed to be good for you, but it's really painful. I've suffered enough. Let's go back inside. This massage chair was calling my name. Whoa, this is intense. Where do my arms go? Oh, here. Feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Ooh, that feels good. I think I need one of these at home. Whoa. I'm shimmying, not on purpose. There's a game zone here. Let's kick the cameraman's butt in some games. I found the cutest stuffed animal here, so I have to give it a shot and try to win it. Oh, I want the salmon. Oh, so close. Third time's a charm. I heard wiggling the joystick helps.
Nope.
Should I try one more time? Tekken! I used to love Tekken when I was a kid. So intense. Got it, got it, got it! Go, go, go, go! Oh yeah! We took photos in the photo booth, but our poses were so bad this time, so they didn't turn out great. But hey, it's for the memories. Let's go to Noodle Land. It's a self-serve ramen noodle bar. It reminds me of eating ramen at the Han River. I'm so stoked for this. Very hungry. Should I go for the familiar shin ramen, or should I try something new today? They have so many options to choose from. I'm trying Sesame ramen this time. It's gotta be good because it's almost all sold out. Now I have to choose some toppings. They have unlimited toppings here. I wanna fill up my bowl, but there's a sign that says too many toppings may cause the ramen to overflow or not cook properly. So I have to choose wisely. Rice cake. It's time to cook the ramen. I've got my chopsticks ready. This looks amazing. Mmm, it's a little bit spicy, but not too bad. I can handle this little level of spice. I even slurped the noodles. This flavor might be a new favorite of mine. It's pretty good. I can see why it was almost sold out. The only thing I have left to do here is enjoy the baths. Obviously, I can't take you guys with me because everyone there is naked. Actually, when I first came to Korea, I was so surprised that the spas were all nude. That was a big culture shock for me, but now I'm used to it. One English phrase that you can use to describe someone without clothes is in their birthday suit. Because when you're born, you have no clothes on. Everyone at the spa is in their birthday suit. It's kind of a fun and interesting phrase. Thanks for spending the day with me, and I'll see you next time. Bye! 안녕하세요 여러분. 저는 켜리세입니다. 오늘은 한국어를 가레쳐 드릴게요. 이거는 반나나예요. April Fools! I am pranking people all day today in honor of April 1st. Or April Fool's Day, so stay on your toes because I've got a lot of tricks up my sleeve today. I'm starting the day with some prank phone calls. My victims will be my family members. I'm calling my mom first because, sorry to say, she's the most gullible. My husband is currently applying for his green card, and every time I talk to my family on the phone, They ask how it's going because they're very excited for us to move to the US. So today I'm going to call them and lie about it and say that we got denied. I feel really guilty and I never lie about stuff like this, but it is April Fool's Day and I wanted to teach you guys some tips for speaking in English on the phone. So hopefully this will help you guys out. Just to be clear, I do not take the green card process lightly at all. It takes a lot of money, time, and effort, and there are no guarantees. My husband applied for his green card 2 years ago and we're still waiting for an answer, so this is just a bit of dark humor based on our own situation. Oh, sorry in advance, Mom.
Hi.
Hi. What's going on? I just kind of had to share some news with you.
Okay.
We got an email from our lawyer.
Yeah.
And the green card is denied for now. They just said that our evidence wasn't good enough and that we can reapply in a year. Oh my gosh. So I don't know, with Alaska coming up, Hung and I won't be able to make it. They won't even let him into the state? Nope, not for a year. Oh my gosh, it just doesn't even make sense. I know, it doesn't make sense to me either. Oh, that just breaks my heart. April Fools, Mom! April Fools! I'm so sorry. Callie! Oh, you brat. I knew you were gonna call me a brat. I think she's gonna call me a brat. She calls me a brat a lot. Well, okay, I do have good news. Everything was submitted and they checked it and just asked for one more document, which we submitted. So I do expect that we will hear from them soon. I promise I'll call back with good news soon. Do you hear me? Are you there? I'm cutting out. You're breaking up. Can you hear me now? I can hear you. So is that what you called for, just to get a hard time? I'm filming a prank video for my subscribers. Oh, so I'm on the video now? Oh, Kelly, I promise next time I call you'll get good news. Sorry, Mom. I love you. I love you too. All right, love you. Stay warm. Okay, bye-bye. No! Now I'm gonna call my dad. Let's see if he falls for it.
Hello?
Hi, Dad. I just kind of have some news I wanted to share with you. Sorry if you were going to sleep already.
That's okay. What's up?
Well, the green card was denied.
What? On what basis?
I don't know, really. Just said that our evidence wasn't good enough.
Is there a number we can call to find out specifically what wasn't good enough?
I don't think so.
Are there any lawyers that specialize in the green card thing?
I mean, he does specialize in green cards.
Uh, there's got to be some way around that, man. I don't know what to say. I'm in disbelief.
You should be, because April Fools!
No way, you little stanker! Don't do that!
I'm so sorry! Did you get it? No, I don't have that news, but I do actually think it's a good sign that they asked for more documents.
You could have waited until you got the okay to play that trick on me.
I'm filming a prank video for YouTube.
Oh shit, it better not go public. It's a good thing I didn't start cussing or something, that was my next reaction.
I'm surprised you fell for it.
If I could see your face, I could read right through it, but I can't see your face.
That's true. Okay, I have one question for you before we hang up. What do you usually say when you want to end a phone conversation and hang up the phone?
I guess I say, well, I'll let you go for now, or I gotta get going, something to that effect.
That's perfect, that's all I wanted.
All right, you little stanker.
I love you, Dad.
I love you too.
All right, bye-bye. Oh, I felt so guilty. I'll make up for this. The last person I'm calling today is my sister, but first I'm going to teach you the oldest trick in the book for prank phone calls. Somebody calls and says, is your refrigerator running? And then when the other person says yes, then you respond, well then you better go catch it. Run has 2 meanings. The first meaning is when something with power is turned on. For example, the car is running. That means I started the car and it's on. Of course, run can also mean to move your body quickly. So that's what this prank is. It's a play on words. So I'm going to test my sister and see if she catches on to this joke.
Hello?
Yeah, hi.
Sorry to call you so late. Oh, I just had a really quick question for you. Yeah, you're good. Is your refrigerator running? Well, I better go catch it. I knew it! What the fuck? I'm prank calling you. God, that was a terrible prank call. Okay, I have another test for you then while we're at it.
Okay.
If somebody calls you and you don't have time at the moment, but you can talk like 5 minutes later, What do you say to them? I'll call you back in five. I'll call you back in, and then the amount of time. Yeah. Okay, perfect. Just wanted to know. You wanted to prank call me and then ask for my help? No. Love you. Love you too. Bye bye. Let's review some English phrases that you can use on the phone. The first is for when. You have a bad connection. You can say you're cutting out or you're breaking up. You might also ask, "Are you there?" Or "Can you hear me?" To respond to these questions, you can say, "Yeah, I'm still here," or "Yeah, I can hear you now." Number two, if you're busy when someone calls you, you can say, "Can I call you back in blank?" In the blank. You can put an amount of time. Can I call you back in 5 minutes? Can I call you back in a little while? Number 3, when you want to end a conversation and hang up the phone, you can say, I'll let you go, or I gotta get going. All right, well, I guess I'll let you go. Adding filler words like all right, well, and guess can make it sound a little bit less Direct. I'm pranking people all day today, but what the cameraman doesn't know is that I've prepared a few pranks for him as well. First of all, I bought him a coffee on my morning walk, which I usually do, but he had to run to the post office, so I poured the coffee in a separate Cup, and I mixed water with balsamic vinaigrette. So that's what this is. Here we go.
What did you put?
It's vinegar. Vinegar? Oh shit! Yeah. Ah wow!
That was. Good. Did I actually get you? Yeah, I just I took a big sip. It was full. Muahaha! Ah, you're one there.
I'm just gonna play the clip and then you just write down like what I say. Okay. Number one, I just listened to my mom and it was like. Oh shit! Got you. Oh, oh, oh shit, I'm 2 for 2 so far. Hey babe, will you come look at this really quick? Have a squat.
What?
Okay, that was my first fail. I even had the mic on. Stand up. Oh no.
No! Is this supposed to be like fart sound?
Yes. I'm so sad. What a letdown. Like this? Yeah. Okay, here we go. Dang! I fumbled that one. I really had high hopes for this. Fail. What the heck, babe? The toilet smells. Come look at this. This is weird.
Huh?
The toilet is smoking. For my last prank of the day, I'm going to gaslight my friends using AI. I'm making fake pictures, and I'm going to text it to them and just completely lie to them and see how they react. First, this is my friend Illy. I'm going to put a funny hat on her and message her asking for it back. I also made an image to send to my friend Daho. I created this fake Facebook memory of us at a rave. We've never gone to a rave together. I'm excited. I can't wait to see their reactions. I'm gonna text Illy right now. Hey girl, random, but do you still have that cowboy hat you borrowed from me a while back? She said, hey love, what cowboy hat? I have no memory. I think you might have the wrong person, Cal. I don't recall borrowing that. No, it was definitely you. You took it home to Sohyun, her husband. I'm lying through my teeth right now. I sent the photo. She said, girl, what? Girl, what? I brought that home? I don't even think you brought that. It was— she's calling. She's calling. Oh my God. Okay. Hello?
Hello?
Oh, hi.
So about the hat.
Uh-huh.
I don't really remember about that cowboy hat. You saw the picture, right? Yeah. I was like, what? Why would I? Why would I? You brought that at the time? Really? I like bought it on the way to the picnic. You don't remember? We were like cracking up taking these pictures. Oh my God, I have no memory of this. Really? Why would I? What? Girl, I'm messing with you. That's why I was like, okay, sorry.
Okay.
I'm so sorry. I'm doing pranks today for YouTube. I will kill you. I'm like sweating right now. I'm crying. I'm so sorry if you were questioning your sanity. No, I love you. I love you too. Bye. Bye. She knows how to take a joke, but oh my gosh, that's so funny. I also messaged Daho. We'll see how she responds. Hello? You don't remember that night? Seriously, zero recall. I feel like it was somebody's birthday. A bunch of us went out that night, and then you and I were like, oh, we're just gonna explore Explore more. We wanted to stay out later. Oh my God! Did we? It doesn't sound like us at all. Are you sure it's not with Marissa? Girl, that's you in the photo. I know, but like, wait, was it the Sinduran scared? No, it doesn't look like it. Oh my God! What is wrong with me? Nothing. Cannot remember. Nothing's wrong with. It cannot be me. It's clearly me. When did you ever wear this kind of sunglasses, man? I made that fake Facebook memory to prank you. Oh my— are you fucking kidding me? What? That did not— Oh my God, girl! I'm so sorry. I literally thought that I was going mad. You're not going mad. I'm so sorry. That was so funny. Best prank ever. I'm literally laughing crying right now. I was too. I love you. Thanks for being a good sport. I love you too. Talk to you later. I'm so lucky to have such understanding friends. Today was a big success and most of my pranks actually landed. I hope you enjoyed today's video and had a good laugh. I'll see you next time. Bye! 안녕하세요 여러분, 저는 켜리 세민입니다. 오늘은... Sorry. I'm trying Korea's most viral foods. Right now, I'm outside of one of Busan's hottest bakeries, Angsiang, to get their buttered Duck and a chocolate baguette. I tried to come here yesterday and even though I arrived before the doors opened I still was number 141 so I couldn't get the items that I wanted to buy. Today I showed up an hour before the bakery opens and waited in line for 30 minutes. Just to put my name down and join the waitlist. So hopefully today I'll be able to get my hands on those items. I'm heading to a cafe to try something else that's trending while I wait for my butter duck and chocolate baguette. This trend is kind of up and coming. You'll see what it is in a second. Ice Americano, hadaran. Ube latte, hanagiri. Oh my gosh! This is an ube latte, and I heard it's the new matcha. Ube is a Filipino vegetable. It tastes kind of like taro or sweet potato, so I think I'm going to love. this because taro is my favorite. Let's take a sip. This is so good. Oh my gosh, very creamy but refreshing. I love it. This one is worth the hype. It actually almost tastes like cereal milk to me, and the visuals are amazing. I'm going to rank This in A. It's almost at the very top, but I think because it is so sweet, it's something that I wouldn't have too often. It's good for when you have a sweet tooth. Today is off to a great start. 마시네, 너무 마시네. I'm at my favorite Cookie to finally try Gujongpu. I know I'm a little late, but trends come and go so fast in Korea. I can never keep up. Okay, let's try this. Oof! It's pretty expensive. This better be good. The outside layer is very stretchy. And the inside is filled with pistachio. It's very nutty and crunchy when you bite into it. Hmm, not bad, but it's not my favorite. I don't think it's amazing or mind-blowing. I'm gonna give it a B. I like Dubai chocolate flavor, but I would rather have it in ice cream, and this is too expensive. It's not expensive for what you get. I'm gonna save the rest for later because it's a calorie bomb. One more nibble.
I thought you were saving. Saving to your stomach?
It's growing on me the more I eat it. It's actually kind of addicting. Okay, save it. Self-control. I'm going to eat a lot of delicious food today, so I need to pace myself. Woo! We got here at 11 and it's 12:45 now. I hope it's worth it. I've got my tray. I'm ready. They have regular butter duck and chocolate butter ducks. I'm getting one of each. SNS famous. Wow, this is huge. Butter duck is blowing up these days. It's everywhere. So I'm most excited to try this today. I'm going to start with the original one. Whoa, the texture is crazy.
Wow!
Rock hard on the outside, but it's very soft and squishy on the inside. Okay, one bite without the pistachio cream first. True test. Mmm.
Hmm?
This is really good. It took me a little bit to figure it out because it's unlike anything I've ever tried before. The flavor isn't too overpowering, but you can definitely taste the butter. I think people probably love this because of the texture. The texture is amazing. All right, let me try the chocolate one quick. Ooh. Chocolate is super melty. Mm. It tastes kind of like a chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven, but I think I like the original buttery one more. I think I will rank both of these in A. It's really chewy but squishy. There's just a lot going on there.
Whoa!
This is for chocolate lovers. I can already tell. Wow! It has a very intense chocolate flavor, very rich and indulgent. I think it would go really well with a cup of coffee. Mm. I'll give this maybe a C. Maybe I also like sweet. Squishy textures. This is a little bit harder to bite into, so that's why I deducted points. I'm glad that I liked the butter duck, but would I stand in line for 2 hours to get it again? Probably not. Let's head to our next stop. This bun shik place has been on my radar for a while because it's Always popping. I came here to get the bom dong bibimbap. Bibimbap is one of my comfort foods in Korea, but I've never tried this version of it before. This is the first savory dish that I'm eating today, and it's also definitely the healthiest. It's topped with a fried. Egg and I added some thinly sliced pork belly, but of course the star of the show is the cabbage. Let me get a bite with everything in it. Mmm, it's so well seasoned and flavorful. The cabbage is very fresh and crunchy. I love it. I'm putting this one at the top. It's an S. Wow! I inhaled that. I'm so full, but I've still got one last place to hit up. So let's go. We are going to a bar that serves Chili's Nashville Hot Cheese Sticks. They also Have a Dubai chocolate cocktail, so I definitely want to try that. Oh! Yes, ma'am. Must order one dish and two drinks. Okay, thank you. Two drinks.
I cannot drink.
I know. Can we be nice to the table next to us? Let's surprise them. What's like a cocktail that everybody would like? Hi. Okay. This is beautiful.
Wow!
How do I even go about drinking this? It's not as sweet as I anticipated, which is good. I can still taste the booze in this. It's a Twix bar. Interesting. I brought a Tupperware so I can pack up the leftovers and take them home. Wow, wow. This trend actually started in the US, but I never got around to trying it there. Let's see Korea's take on In Korea, people call them cheese sticks, but in the U.S., it's a little more common to call them mozzarella sticks. And these are Nashville hot ones, which means they're spicy. 감사합니다. Oh no! This is my moment. One practice. 그치 남편이 먹았어요서 드려도 돼요. Oh my god! Why am I so nervous? This is piping hot. I'm scared I'm gonna burn the roof of my mouth, but let's see if we can get a cheese pull. Holy moly! Wow, it's so gooey and cheesy. That was a great cheese pull. Sorry. Wow, I am going to rank this a drum roll A. I like salty food, and it's also very fun. To eat, so it gets extra points for that. The cocktail, I will rate it as a B because it is quite heavy, but it is a good nightcap. What do you think was the most delicious food I tried today? Let me know in the comments below, and I'll see you next time.
Bye!
Oh, I've got a food baby. I'm at the biggest cherry blossom festival in Korea. I just got here and I'm already blown away by how beautiful it is. Let's go get a closer look. It looks like Most of the flowers are in full bloom. They're so gorgeous. We don't really have cherry blossoms in Michigan so I always get super excited every year to see them in Korea. It is peak season now so there are lots of people out taking pictures and enjoying the cherry blossoms while they last. Wow, there's even a train here. It seems like a popular photo spot, but the line is too long right now, so I'm skipping it. I feel like I'm photobombing so many people here though. This looks like a good spot for a selfie. I gotta get my good side. Let me fix my hair. We're heading into the military base. where the cameraman served. He's really excited.
Trauma, PTSD.
I'm at the Romance Bridge. The birds are singing and the weather is warm. It finally feels like spring has Sprung. I can see why they call this the Romance Bridge. There are couples everywhere. It's really sweet. They're selling flower crowns and headbands on the side of the street. Should I buy one? Maybe I'll get one for me and my mother-in-law. 네요세요? 가져러 오네도 돼요. 괜찮아요? I ended up. Buying 2 hair clips, one for me and one for my mother-in-law. I'm gonna put this in my hair right now. How's it look? There's lots of different food vendors here. Let's see if anyone is selling cherry blossom food. Hello, is it Cherry blossom. Cherry blossom sake. Oh, cherry blossom sake. Yes. Mm, smells good. Wow, so good. Really sweet, really delicious. Do you have a shop? Ah, just here. How much is it? 16,000. Okay, thank you so much. Can I take a picture with you? Oh, of course. Hi. Oh, really? Oh, so nice to meet you. What's your name? Sunny. Sunny. Nice to meet you.
Hi.
Have fun. Yeah. Enjoy. Bye. کنیان چاغن پتکوت هرسی سایو I'm getting my face painted. How's it look? So far, so good. Wow! 너무 예쁘요. 감사합니다. She did a great job. She's so talented. I love it. I couldn't resist buying the cherry blossom sake. I'm spending more money than I planned to, but that's okay. You gotta support your local businesses. It tastes like a strawberry milkshake with a touch of the floral flavor. They made it so cute too. 10 extra points for presentation. Look at all the petals on the ground. Cherry blossom season comes and goes way too fast. I just got home from the cherry blossom festival and I'm exhausted. We walked a lot, but before I go to bed, I wanted to unbox this cherry blossom bread that my mother-in-law bought for me. She's The most generous person I know. She's always giving me gifts. Wow, look how pretty these are! They're shaped like a cherry blossom. I thought they'd be pink, but this is even cuter than I thought. I can't go to bed without trying at least one bite. Mmm, smells good.
Mmm!
It's even filled with cream.
Wow!
Mmm, so good! This will be perfect with coffee in the morning. Thank you, Mom! Thanks for spending the day with me at the festival, and I hope you got to enjoy the cherry blossoms as well before they're gone. See you next time! Bye! Hello. Are you waiting for the shuttle? Okay, thank you so much. This bus is full of good-looking people. I love everyone's fits. If someone knows how to pick a lock, everyone's having a crisis right now. They have a bathroom. But no key. They have to pick the lock if they want to use the bathroom. They're listening to music. We have a hero on the bus today. He saved everyone. We scanned our bracelets And now I think we have to go through security somewhere, but I'm not really sure. I'm just following the crowd. Thank you. Are we live? No, not live. I teach English on YouTube.
Oh, you do?
I do. Yeah, just natural situations so people can learn.
You guys have a great time. Thanks. Yeah.
The food at Coachella is pricey. It was $26 for two slices of pizza, but apparently the spicy pizza and the freshly squeezed lemonade are really popular here, so I have to try it. Oh, you gotta fold your pizza. It tastes like regular pizza. Probably tastes. Better when you're tired and hungry at the festival all day long. Hello, can I get one number 4 and one number 7, please? $34.80 for 2 beers. Better be some damn good beer. Cheers to a crazy first day at Coachella. It's reminding me how old I am. Like, wow, there's so many people, it's so loud, I'm overstimulated. But it's day 1. I'm just Learning. I'm having fun.
Wow.
I'm getting ready to watch one of the headliners tonight, Sabrina Carpenter. I'm so excited to see her and sing along to all of her songs. I'm back in the hotel, and I would say that day one of Coachella was a learning experience. At first, it was a bit overwhelming. I had no idea where I was or what was going on, but then. I got used to it and could relax and just enjoy it. One thing I was really impressed with was the shuttle. Coming home was so easy, fast, and convenient. So if you ever come to Coachella, I really recommend getting the hotel and shuttle package. I'm exhausted and need lots of rest before tomorrow, so I'm going to sleep. Good night! We're leaving our hotel. To go to day two of Coachella, it's officially Bieber Day. I'm so excited. We've got our purple bandanas on to show our support. Baby, baby, baby. Oh, baby, baby, baby. We got a little bit of a later start than we had hoped, but I'm praying for less traffic than yesterday.
Baby, how about my nose?
Oh no.
That wasn't too bad.
Come on. Baby, baby, baby. Oh no. Well, I was delulu thinking we'd walk right up and hop on the shuttle again. A lot of people who aren't staying here also come to this shuttle stop. I guess it checks out.
Can I join you on the next one?
Yeah, I saw the walk.
I was like, I'm trying to walk like that. Thank you.
I thought you were going to play something for me.
I should have, I should have. I was in the house. Was that better than your Original video. They're so cool. We gotta go watch them now. Excuse me, could you help us take a picture, please? Thank you so much. Nice. Yes, you guys make it look easy. Yeah, thank you. You too. They were so natural. The sun is setting. It's so beautiful. With the palm trees in the background. Good festival vibe. Wow! We're trying to go to the Heineken House because Sean Paul is playing there. He was a legend when I was growing up, but the line is crazy. I don't know if we're gonna make it in. Bro, wait, what? Ain't no way. Brings me back to my college days. It's chilly out. The desert has extreme weather. Super hot during the day and then freezing at night. Glad I brought a sweatshirt tonight. Waiting for tonight. After all that dancing and jumping around, I need a bite to eat. So I'm going to try the Spanish paella, which I've heard is a fan favorite at Coachella. Hi, just one paella, please. Thank you. Chicken, shrimp, rice, veggies. Looks really good. All right, let's see what this famous paella is all about. Squeezing some lemon on top. Trying just the rice first. Mmm, this is really good, especially for festival food. Worth the cameraman's $26 for sure. Hi, good, how are you? Can I get one lemonade, please? Are you doing the whole weekend? Yeah, yep, we'll be here tomorrow too. How about you? Will you be here tomorrow? Yeah. How early do you get here? Like around two. Two long day. Hey, thank you so much. Nothing beats a freshly squeezed lemonade at a fair or concert. It's the best. We're waiting for Justin Bieber. He's the The whole reason why we came. I looked it up and it said there were about 130,000 people at Coachella each year, but I feel like this year was even bigger because of Justin Bieber. Lots of people are very excited to see him. What's good, Lucas? Oh my God, got too many bangers. He's only giving us 30-second teasers. We're taking a school bus back To our hotel, it reminds me of when I was a kid. This is so nostalgic for me. Hi, can I get one pepperoni pizza and one Diet Coke, please? Oh, it is a big pizza. Pizza. Thank you. Right? You know what? I'll say it is pricey, but the portions are really, really big here. This was twenty dollars for a whole pizza. At the festival, we paid thirteen dollars for one. Wow. Oh my gosh. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Your pizza. Back to my waitress days. Hello, can I please get one Rancho Breakfast Burrito, an iced vanilla latte with an extra shot, small one please, and then a regular latte with an extra shot as well. Both iced. The food is super expensive, but the portions are usually huge, so we started splitting meals instead of each ordering our own dish. Half is enough. I'm about to stand in line for the Medicube booth. I heard they have karaoke booths inside, which is perfect because I need to warm up my vocal cords for Big Bang tonight. Look at this line. K-beauty, it's taking over the world. Hi! I love how they have American-style karaoke and Korean-style karaoke. It's the best of both worlds. Last night was epic. So I'm gonna relive it by singing Baby by Justin Bieber. Wow, feel like I'm in Korea again. Great experience. The only thing missing was a tambourine. Then it would have been really authentic. There's different speakeasies around Coachella, and I'm in line for the Sabrina Carpenter Speakeasy. But there are so many people waiting for it. We were just told that it's a 60 to 70 minute wait, which is kind of ironic because speakeasies are supposed to be underground, hidden, secret bars. But this is clearly not a secret. I couldn't wait any longer. I love Sabrina Carpenter, but I'll get a cocktail from somewhere else today. Hi, I'll get a single Coachella Sunset in a Heineken, please. Thank you. Have fun, guys. Cheers, manan! For 2 drinks, that's crazy. Oh my gosh, I'm gonna be broke after this festival. Next time I'll be sneaking some drinks in. Thanks so much. Can I grab an extra fork? Let's see how New York Korean fried chicken tastes. The fries are honey butter fries. I love that even the fries have a Korean twist. Really good. Let's try a tender. Whoa, it's huge! These are tenders, not wings. Pretty good, not gonna lie, but I wish it had some dipping sauce. Low-key, I still think fried chicken is better in Korea. Can I get one Yes Lord and one Short and Sweet, please?
Doubles or singles?
Oh, let's do doubles. All right, double tequila. I'm scared for myself. Too sober right now anyways. Waiting in lines all day, like sober job. What's your name? Callie. Are you from Cali? I'm not. I'm from Michigan. Missed opportunity. I wish I was from Cali. I love it here. Nice meeting you. Holy! I think I'll definitely be feeling it. If you know these songs, please sing along with me.
안고겠어요.
