Good morning everybody! I just woke up and today is my birthday, so I'm going to show you my perfect day. I'm going to do some of my favorite activities, eat some of my favorite foods, and just spend the day enjoying myself. To kick things off, I'm going to hit the gym. I've been working with a personal trainer lately and I love starting the day by being active and moving my body. No excuses today. I just hope it's not leg day. Let's get going. I just got to the gym and I'm waiting for my trainer, so I'm going to warm up my body and do a bit of stretching. This is my trainer. She's so ripped, and as the young kids these days would say, her body is T. Can you flex? Show them muscle.
Whoa!
Today we are focusing on my back. Not leg day, so I guess it really is my perfect day today. Let's go! Let's go!
Blue!
Test stop! I just finished up at the gym and wah, she kicked my butt today. She does not go easy on me which is good because sometimes I need that extra push. But now I'm heading home to take a shower and clean up a bit. Before I hop in the shower, I'm gonna make a quick smoothie. I love smoothies after workouts because they are fast and easy and packed with nutrients. Spinach. Eh, let's finish up the rest of the bag. Frozen blueberries. One banana. One scoop of pea protein. And some almond milk. Let's blend this up.
Voilà!
The perfect post-gym meal. Thick and creamy, just how I like it. It doesn't look great, but I promise it's really delicious. I have an appointment today, so I'm in a bit of a rush. I have to do this Quickly! No time to spare! It's time to pick out an outfit. Since it's my perfect day, I want to look and feel my best. I think I'm going to wear this robe today. It's bright and fun and comfortable, so it's one of my favorite things that I own. Whenever I wear this, I get compliments on it. Which is kind of ironic because I actually bought this about 5 years ago for 만원 at a subway station in Seoul. It was a great deal. It's very summery, so I have to wear it one last time before it gets too cold. I'm on my way to a nail appointment now. I was running late, so I had to call a cab. I'm really excited because I never get my nails done, So this is a real treat. 안녕하세요. I want something kind of like this.
Okay.
How long you've been here? In Busan, just for like 1 month. But I lived in Seoul before for like 10 years. My cuticles are in really rough shape, so she's cleaning them up. You know what sounds really good right now? Some coffee. Sounds really good. Hint hint, in my family, when it's your birthday, we call you the birthday brat. That means you can boss people around and do whatever you want for one day only. I'm taking full advantage of that title. So cameraman, will you go get me a coffee, please? Thank you. I went for something a bit more neutral this time because I have some business meetings and events coming up, so I can't have anything too flashy. But still, it's a little bit shimmery. I love it. I'll be back for sure. Thank you so much. Thank you. See you next time. Tempting. I want to buy it, but then it shows you how many calories there are. I think my trainer would not be too happy after working out so hard this morning and then getting Krispy Kreme donuts. I'll save my appetite for the food court. Oh, Bath and Body Works. We passed by Bath and Body Works and I had to take a peek. At their candles. They're on sale. 30% off. I sniffed all the candles and I'm very indecisive, but I think I narrowed it down to my two favorite scents. I like the pistachio milk and honey and the cinnamon spiced vanilla. I'm gonna go to the actual store and see if they have those smaller candles in stock. They have a lot more options here. Where's the— Thank you so much. Okay, thank you. I'm surprised because everyone in Busan is so good at English. Everyone's fluent here. Okay, I'm going with my instincts here. This one's coming home with me. Do you have your card?
Thank you.
Thank you. Gamsahamnida. People are going to smell me from a mile away. Wow. We can't go in an elevator. Let me walk quickly to try and get rid of some of this. Yum.
Wow.
8,000 won for one rice cake. That's crazy. Dubai chocolate hype, I guess. We're hitting up the food court. Start because I'm a bit hungry. Everything looks so good. It's gonna be so hard to decide what to get. I want one of everything. I need some more hands. Vegetables. Nice. Okay, sweet potato. Sweet potato. I planned on eating light here. I only wanted a snack, and now I'm juggling all this food. I'm being a big back today. Big back is slang these days for having a big appetite or being overweight. It's very common to say in a joking way, this is big back behavior. I'm such a big back. I heard that fish cake is very popular in Busan, and this is my first time trying it. It's so good. It's actually not very fishy at all. I wouldn't know it's fish cake. Let's try the rice cake one. I like the texture of this one. It's a little bit crisp on the outside. The worker recommended this one. She did good. And perilla leaf. All of them are so nice. I think I like the sausage the most though. I'm topping the dumplings with some soy sauce. Wow, these are nice and golden brown on the bottom. Mmm, the outside is so soft and pillowy, but it's really juicy inside. I love this. Mmm, I'm so full. Everything was really delicious. Mall food in America just can't compare. It's mostly fast food, but here everything is gourmet. It's amazing. Now I'm heading to the Apple Store to hopefully buy some headphones because my headphones right now are hanging on by a thread. They're literally falling apart because I use them so much. I cannot hear you. Comfort-wise, maybe Beats is better. It's hard to get the right fit. Everything slides off my head. I wear these at the gym, so it's important to test this out. I'm not quite sold yet. I like my Beats. I'm still thinking about the headphones. But now I'm on the hunt for a new purse because this is embarrassing. I don't want to show you, but my purse broke a while back and I put tape on it as a quick fix. And it's been like that ever since.
What are you, cheapskate?
Hey, I'm frugal, okay? That's kind of cute. I like a good shoulder bag. Is that too much? I think too much. These are cute too. Mini purse. I carry around too much stuff to have a small purse like that. Ah, gamsahamnida. It's almost identical to the one I have now. Maybe I'm a creature of habit. Wow, I struck out shopping today. I didn't get either of the things that I really wanted to buy. To be honest, shopping kind of stresses me out because I'm an overthinker. So I always go back and forth comparing different things and it takes forever. But that's okay. I still got a candle and maybe I'll try to do some online shopping to get the things that I need. Can we do a half and half of the Brooklyn's Best and the spinach Alfredo? How many pieces is that?
6 pieces.
Okay, perfect. And can we do 1 ginger ale and 1 Coke Zero? Thank you. Thank you. I haven't dined in at a pizza place in forever. I usually just do delivery, but when I was a kid, it was pretty common to have a pizza party on your birthday, so this feels pretty nostalgic and fun. Also, I heard that Gino's serves excellent American-style pizza, so I wanted to see for myself. Can we get a small thing of ranch? That's okay. Smells good. I'm a Midwestern girl, so ranch is my holy grail. We put it on everything. Pizza, salads, fries, you name it, ranch belongs on it. Whoa, look at that cheese pull. Looks pretty legit. These shakers even remind me of pizza parlors back home. Mmm, that is some good pizza. Let me try it with the ranch. That is some good ranch too. Manimura. I can see myself becoming a regular here. Ugh, I've got a little bit of a stomachache. I feel kind of nauseous and we're getting on a boat. Not a good combination. I can't think of a better way to end my perfect day. My stomachache is suddenly gone. This is gorgeous. I love being on the water, and this view, you can't beat it. We're going right under the bridge. I didn't look at the price tag first, and I'm shook. ₩7,000 for this baby ice cream. That's insane. My favorite cake flavor is Funfetti, but it's really hard to find in Korea, so tonight I got carrot cake, which was actually the flavor of my wedding cake. Now it's time to light the candle and make a wish.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Callie Anderson, happy birthday to you.
Woo! Thank you, thank you. Time to make my wish.
What's your wish?
I can't tell or else it won't come true.
Yay!
Baksu, baksu! I bought this super expensive tiny ice cream to put on top and make it à la mode. We say à la mode when you're having dessert topped with ice cream. Apple pie à la mode, brownie à la mode, carrot cake à la mode. Everything is better à la mode. There we go.
Mmm.
I feel like I constantly ate today. I was a bottomless pit. This is really good though. Carrot cake was a good choice. Mmm. Thank you guys so much for spending my birthday with me today. I'm so grateful for each and every one of you, and I hope this year I can meet more of you in person, and I hope that our community continues to grow.
You're not supposed to say your wish.
You're right. Cut that part. Cut, cut. Check out the pinned comment below and I'll see you next time. Goodbye. Travel with me to Seoul for a fun weekend. I'm at the KTX station now. I'm about to hop on a train. Oh, it's here. Let's catch it. Just kidding. I'm on the next train, so I'm just waiting at the platform. Our train was delayed 10 minutes, so I'm just waiting for it to depart. Wait, wow, it looks great! Thank you so much! Our students wrote a letter to you. No! Oh my God, this is the best gift ever!
Hold button!
Hold button! I've never had my face on a cake before. I'm at a loss for words. Someone's going to eat my face, I guess. I set up a small market for the kids so they could practice using English naturally while buying toys and snacks. What's your favorite video? Oh, which one? Oh, New York! Christmas. What is it when I take a small drink? Oh my gosh, that is so cute! I was really touched and inspired by seeing how hard the kids work. You're amazing! It was such a special experience, which made it tough to say goodbye. It's been such a long day, but I had so much fun meeting the kids at the school in Jeonan. If you're watching this, kids, thank you so much. They honestly made my day, and it was the most wholesome thing ever. I just checked into my hotel in Seoul, and I'm pretty hungry, so I'm gonna go out and see what restaurants are nearby. My stomach is growling. I'm trying to decide where to eat, but when I'm really hungry, it's so hard to choose. Everything sounds good right now. Friday night vibe. It's a big party in Jongno tonight. I think people are blowing off some steam after a long week at work. Almost every pocha Bucha was packed and had a line, but luckily we found an open seat at a Vietnamese restaurant. I got a huge bowl of pho and a nice cold beer. I know this is gonna hit the spot. Cheers to our first night in Seoul. So good! You can never go wrong with pol. I had an amazing first day in Seoul, but man, I'm exhausted. So I'm going to cut into this gorgeous cake that one of the students' moms made for me. It just seems wrong to to cut into my own face. I'm gonna change into my PJs and go to sleep early tonight. I have a big day tomorrow too.
Exciting?
Very excited. It's bigger than I expected. Who's gonna be the lucky winner today? Mmm, it's like a vanilla wafer. Very crunchy, delicious. Everything you want is on the other side of fear. I love that. I've never participated in a big event like this before, so I'm a bit nervous, but let's face our fears. These cookies are actually Actually, for a raffle. 20 lucky people will win books or free drinks or free snacks. We even customized the wrapping with my photo and the colors of the fortune cookies. If you have some kind of event, I really recommend working with Bread Hyphen. They're awesome.
Toss him!
Yeah, toss him! That's right! Thank you so much! I saw your video and I am also a subscriber. Let's collab!
Of course! So great!
Thank you so much! Bye-bye! One of my favorite cafes in Yeonidong, Carvana Praha, helped me out big time at this event. I couldn't have done it without them, and I'm so grateful for their hard work and generosity. Their food and drinks are amazing, so make sure to visit them. Never, never, never give up! I need to team up! Goodbye, Latias! You won! You won! I have the best friends. Thank you, guys! By far the best part of the day was meeting all of you. You were all so cool and sweet, and it reminded me how truly lucky I am to be part of such a wonderful community. I really can't thank you enough for that.
3, 2, 1.
Thank you for teaching me. Oh, thank you for watching.
Always makes me study.
Keep studying. It's time for the awards ceremony. Wish me luck. I feel really honored. Thank you so much for watching my videos and for voting for me. How old are you? Do you want a cookie? You can do it! Oh, this is so good! I'll do lemon tea. I'll do lemon tea. Perfect. It was a big success. We were there for a long time. It was hot, it was exhausting, but I'm so glad that we did it. We won first place in our category. Oh my God, thank you guys. It's really all thanks to you. It was a really great experience actually. Thank you so much. Thank you guys for inviting me. Next time, if you want to— regrets. Now we are just enjoying some barbecue and of course a glass of beer. Craft beer. Cheers! I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and I ran out of eyeliner. So I had to make a quick pit stop at Olive Young after dinner. In Korea, I noticed that everyone says one plus one. But in the US, we say buy one get one free. The mascara is buy one get one free, so I'm getting this too. Starbucks has a BOGO coupon. Really? Yeah, buy one get one. That's how I learned the BOGO.
BOGO. Thank you.
Bye. Thank you, Jahho. It's my last day in Seoul, and I'm getting ready to go to one of my good friends' wedding. Actually, I'm not just attending the wedding, I'm giving a speech. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck right now. I keep telling myself to take deep breaths and it'll all be okay. I can do this. My friend's wedding is at the National Assembly. So fancy. I've got my speech with me. Let's head in and see the bride. Congratulations! Are you Jacob's family? I'm Callie Anderson. Am I allowed in? How are you feeling?
I'm all right.
Yeah, I'm so excited to hear his speech because I didn't read it yet. I wanted to be surprised. I held my breath as he confessed his love in and asked Rin to marry him. And her response? Yes! But you didn't take the tag off the ring. And that's when I knew without a doubt that they were definitely ready for marriage. The ceremony was beautiful, and I feel a bit relieved now that my speech is over. I hope I did okay. Now I'm just enjoying some food from the buffet. Everything looks really delicious. The hotel we're staying at is actually right by the place where we got our wedding rings made, and if you remember My husband lost his wedding ring at a beach in California, so we decided to drop in and get a new one made while we're nearby. This time he's buying it though. Nice to meet you!
Hello!
Nice to meet you!
Bye!
He was so nice. What are the chances? 안이! This weekend was a blast, but now I'm beat, so I'm just having a chill last night in the hotel room. I was in the mood for a burger tonight, so that's what I ordered, and I'm about to binge-watch a new Netflix series. The show I'm watching tonight is a new American drama called Wayward. It looks pretty interesting, so I'm going to watch that while I enjoy my burger. Thank you so much for spending the weekend with me. Check out the pinned comment below and good night! Do I look nerdy? I'm on a roll. What do you call this in English? It's my go-to these days. 저믈합니다. I'm going to show you my study routine. I'll teach you English expressions related to studying. I have an upcoming test, so I'll be hitting the books and studying hard all day today. I've been taking Korean language classes, and I've had almost perfect attendance, but to be honest, I've been slacking off on my homework lately. So today I have to cram and catch up on my assignments. Let's study together. I'll be studying Korean, but you can practice your English by watching this video. So grab your notebook, get comfy, and let's get Let's get started. First things first, I'm going to set up my desk for studying. I like having a space that's clean and simple, so I'm going to clear everything off of my desk. Thank you. I just like to keep a notebook and pen and a water bottle on my desk. I will also be using my computer. So I'm going to put on my blue light glasses. Wow, do I look nerdy? I'm going to start with vocabulary because it's what I struggle with the most. I have a terrible memory and forget things so easily. So I use an app called Quizlet to help me memorize key vocabulary. While making flashcards, I like to listen to the pronunciation and practice saying the words out loud so that I can get used to saying them naturally. Orchard. Am I right?
Yes!
Greenhouse. Final greenhouse, same same, right? I'm on a roll. Then I review the words by taking quizzes and playing little study games. Yujung, Yujung. Is it hot in here?
Wow, you really did study.
Hey, I told you my vocab is bad. Okay, process of elimination here. Not to build— oh, I think it's itinerary, schedule. Am I right?
Oh no.
Ah, what was it?
You're right.
Hey, I shouldn't doubt myself. By the way, I made a free Quizlet set for you guys as a small gift so that you can review the vocabulary from the morning routine episode. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. I need some coffee, so let's head to a coffee shop and continue my studies there. I always study best at cafes. Maybe it's the background noise or just the cozy atmosphere. Drinking coffee with this view is the perfect pick-me-up. I'm going to do some homework in my workbook. As I go through my workbook, I like to highlight or underline words that I don't know so that I can look them up later. Hey cameraman, what do you call this in English?
Sharpie.
No, in English.
Sharpie.
No, that's a marker. It's called a mechanical pencil. Pencil in English. It's kind of a hard word. Mechanical pencil. To help me stay focused, I use a Pomodoro timer and study in intervals. So I'll study for 25 minutes straight and then I'll take a quick 5-minute break. It helps me be productive and stay on track. I usually just find fun on YouTube. Okay, my timer is set, and I'm going to put my phone to the side so I don't get distracted. Let's get to work. The timer just went off, so it's time for a brain break. Taking short breaks is very important so you don't burn out. I'm going to use my break to just relax and scroll on my phone.
What are you watching?
None of your business.
Some shady stuff?
No, I'm checking our comments on Instagram. I'm starting to zone out, so it's time to go for a walk. I honestly hate sitting all day, so whenever I get the chance, I like to take a short walk outside and get some fresh air. These days while I walk, I like to listen to the MP3 files from my Korean class. I'm trying to make it a daily habit And I've definitely made some progress with my listening lately. It's such an easy way to stay consistent with my studies. I need some fuel to make it through the rest of the day, so I came to the convenience store to grab some snacks. Banana milk and tuna triangle kimbap is a classic combo. Gamsahamnida. Now it's time for my least favorite part of studying, grammar. As I study, I take notes in my notebook. Writing things down and making my own example sentences helps me understand better. These days I've been practicing the grammar point "는다고," "우다고," "냐고," "자고." I always get these mixed up and it's pretty frustrating, but the more I practice, the quicker I'll get the hang of it. This time I'm going to listen to some music while I study. I usually listen to heavy metal, while studying grammar to get rid of the rage inside. Just kidding. I listen to instrumental music that is calming, like lo-fi or acoustic covers. Heavy metal. I always love a good Taylor Swift instrumental playlist. It's my go-to these days. Why are you making fun of me?
Hmm?
You should be supporting me. Time for a snack break. While I eat, I'm going to watch a show on Netflix. These days I'm watching a show called 'Kenmaru ChaChaCha.' I've been challenging myself by watching with Korean subtitles. Subtitles only, no English. It's still really hard for me, but sometimes I surprise myself with how much I can actually understand, so it's been a good confidence boost for me, and it feels good to level up a little bit. If you like to study while watching TV series, I recommend a Chrome extension called Language Reactor. It shows dual subtitles and lets you pause and review words instantly. You can click on each word to see the definition and listen to its pronunciation. So delicious. Okay, I'm done procrastinating. It's time for speaking practice. Lately I've been doing shadowing while walking on my walking pad. Shadowing is when you listen and repeat right after the speaker. I usually play a short audio clip and try to mimic the speaker's pronunciation and intonation as closely as possible. It's definitely not easy, but honestly, this part of studying is really fun for me. 저믈해지만. Don't laugh. 저믈해지만. Wow, it's already getting dark outside. I really studied all day today. Thank you so much for being my study buddy. I hope I ace my test. I know that Suneung is also right around the corner, so fighting! See you next time. Goodbye! My mouth is on fire. This bus is a little crazy. Korean cafes are next level. This is what I came here for. It was Busan. I'm being a tourist for one day in Busan. I'm going to teach you natural English that you can use when you travel. To kick things off, I came to eat one of Busan's Busan's most famous foods, dwaeji gukbap. Actually, I lied. I got dwaeji udon, so it's a bit different from what I've had in the past. This place is called Hapcheon Ilryu Dwaeji Gukbap, and the line outside was crazy. I definitely think it's very popular with the locals. Let's give it a shot. Smells amazing. I'm gonna try the broth first. Mmm, garlicky, rich, savory. This is the perfect comfort food. Let's try a bite with the meat and noodles now. The meat is super tender, which I love. I'm not a fan of fatty meat, so this is perfect. Of course, it's best with a piece of fresh kimchi. I like these Korean green peppers, but I'm a little nervous because this one is small, which means it's probably quite hot. Oh, woo-hoo! My mouth is on fire. That was a slow burn. At first, I thought it was okay, but that heat creeps up on ya. I'm stuffed. Let's go walk this off at Gamcheon Culture Village. I hope I make it there alive. This bus is a little crazy. It's like a roller coaster. I love Gamcheon Culture Village, and some people even call it the Santorini of Korea because of its colorful hillside houses and the beautiful view of the ocean. I heard that this neighborhood used to be a tiny mountainside village, but they transformed it into an art town with sculptures, murals, and super cute cafes. Two iced Americanos, please. To go? To go, yep. I'm grabbing a coffee at this cute cafe that I found on TikTok. They deliver it to to you in a mini hot air balloon. You want to try? That was the cutest thing ever, and they're so friendly here. If you're in Gamcheon Culture Village, come to Blue House on the stairs. Korean cafes are next level. How do they come up with this stuff? The line for taking a picture with Little Prince is longer than the line for the restaurant was, so I think I'm skipping this one. I came here and did it a long time ago anyways. I've already got my photo. Wow, the view here is picture perfect.
Oh, this is yours.
What do we think, guys? Do I need this? I think I need this. No line and I still got my picture with the Little Prince. Yes. Look at your hair. I've always wanted to get my haircut done at that shop, and I feel like it's such a tourist thing to do, so today seemed like the perfect opportunity to get it done. I'm not disappointed. This is so cute. The artists are so talented there. She drew this in about 2 minutes. It's the perfect keepsake. BTS. My grandma would be sad she's not here right now. My grandma is ARMY.
V is my bias. I'm ARMY.
There are so many cute souvenir shops selling little trinkets here, but I already got my souvenir. Gamcheon is so colorful and charming, but it's time to move on to my next destination. Jagalchi Market is one of the most famous seafood markets in Korea. It's the perfect place for seafood lovers. And since Busan is a coastal city, everything is especially fresh here. I can't believe the size of some of the fish here. They're huge. It's so lively here. There are tons of vendors. I love the energy. Today I just took a look around the market, but I'm definitely coming back to enjoy some of the delicious seafood next time. Right now I'm trying to save my appetite for our next stop. You'll see why. Our next stop is within walking distance. It only takes about 5 minutes to get there on foot. Wow!
How many?
Uh, 2.
USA?
Yes, please. Thank you. This is what I came here for. The last time I had this was about 2 years ago, and I've been dreaming about it ever since.
Annyeonghaseyo!
Thank you for saying hi! Just how I remembered. Crispy on the outside, sweet and nutty on the inside. So yummy! I'm going to be on a sugar high after this though.
Are you going to eat them both?
Mhm. Nope! These are mine. Didn't you order one?
Greedy.
I'll let you have one bite if you're nice. How about that?
I have a big one bite.
True, you could probably eat this whole thing in one bite. I can never get sick of this taste, never. This area is always super packed, and it kind of reminds me of Myeongdong because there are so many different food stands here. They have tteokbokki, they have fish cake, everything you could ever want. So make sure to come here hungry. I actually attended the opening ceremony of BIFF this year. I got to see so many huge celebrities walk the red carpet. Lisa from BLACKPINK even showed up. I was so shook. I watched the movie No Other choice, and I highly recommend it. It was so good. Sunset time, the best time of day. I really wanted to ride in the capsules, but the tickets were completely sold out. Apparently you have to book weeks in advance. So I'm hopping on the Beach Train instead. It runs along the same route and they take walk-ups. We'll be departing shortly. Yellow, my favorite color. Look at that. Yellow number one. The train ride was only about 10 minutes long, and maybe this is an obvious piece of advice, but make sure you come in the daytime. We couldn't see anything. But in my defense, we came at the perfect time of day, but there was no availability and we had to wait and it got dark. But it isn't a true travel day without some mishaps. That's what makes traveling so memorable. I'm hungry, so now I'm heading to a restaurant restaurant to eat some dinner. It's time to eat Busan's signature noodle dish, mireumyeon, and I came to one of the OG spots to try it, Gaya Mireumyeon. Do you like bibim or mulnaeng more? Personally, I like a combination of the two. Bibim mulnaeng is the best.
Is that why you order two of them?
Yes, exactly. You're catching on. Of course, I need to add just a touch of mustard and vinegar for that extra flavor. Mm, so refreshing. Mm, I love this. Cold noodles are one of my personal favorite Korean foods. I love all cold noodles. This one tastes like jjolmyeon. I love jjolmyeon. Mandu is good too. Nanimutda! Cleared it! But don't be fooled. I had some help from the cameraman. Lots of help.
I'm starving, man.
This time, I definitely preferred the bibimbap. It was bossin'. After a long day of sightseeing, I'm wrapping up my Busan adventure here at Gwaneoli Beach. You can grab a drink at a beachfront cafe, sit back, relax, and just enjoy the beautiful night view. There are also lots of street performances here which are always fun to watch. Personally, I just love walking on the beach and taking it all in. Today was like a mini staycation for me. It was so much fun. Check out the pinned comment below and I will see you next time. Goodbye! Danger!
Danger! Bruh!
Bruh! Hell no! Happy Halloween! I'm at Lotte World in Busan to celebrate. I checked the weather forecast this morning and it said it's supposed to be sunny today. But it's been raining on and off all morning. It's even sprinkling right now. So this will be interesting. I didn't reserve a ticket online, so let's head to the ticket booth to buy one. Annyeonghaseyo! 2 adults, 1 day. Discount 45%. Oh really? Oh wow! We got a good discount. Thank you, Samsung. Alright, ready? Annyeonghaseyo!
Woohoo!
I feel like a kid again.
Nobody's here.
We actually rented the park out today. So just me, you know, private experience. Just kidding. We need a lot more money for that. It's starting to rain pretty hard. Just my luck. How did the weather say 100% sunshine? And now we get this. I guess the clouds add to the spooky vibe. Let's stay positive. Is it a trip to Lotte World if you don't rent a school uniform? I don't think so. Of course you are. We have to match. Look at the bloody uniform. I know for a lot of Koreans this is very nostalgic, but for me it reminds me of Britney Spears, the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" video. She dresses in school uniform. Very iconic. I feel like my biceps are gonna bust out of this uniform. I gotta take it easy on the protein. The sizes are stressing me out. It's either too small or too big.
Ta-da!
Wow, that took forever, but here's the final look. I went with a long sleeve because it's getting quite chilly outside. What do you think? Do I look like a student? Korea has the best concept restaurants and cafes. This one is so cool. You order your food at your table on the screen and they deliver it to you on a mini roller coaster. It was so fast.
Was it worth the wait? We'll see.
I haven't tried it yet.
I'm saying I'm hungry.
Then eat. I'm stuffed. To be honest, the food wasn't anything special, but I think it's worth coming here for the experience. When else can you get your food delivered to you on a roller coaster? Let's get out of here. I need to walk this off a bit. It's sprinkling.
It's starting to rain. I'm coming out.
Okay, it's me. I'm the problem. Well, let's not let it stop us. Let's go! I'm like Elsa but for the rain instead of the snow. I bring the rain power. Let's go to the store and get headbands. Wearing a headband at Lotte World is a must. And look at all these cute Halloween-themed ones. Should I try the tarantula? Are my ears sticking out too much? I need a mirror. Is it too extra? I think this is the one. They have a booth where you can get your face painted or your makeup done. I think that will be the final touch for my look today. I do love the Joker. Should I? I got bit by a vampire. I think it looks really good, but it was a little bit of a rip-off. I didn't realize they were only putting on temporary tattoos. I thought they were going to paint our faces. It was done in 1 second.
How much you pay?
Rip-off. I'm going to ride the Giant Digger. I love big fast roller coasters. There was a sign that said it's a 70-minute wait, but there's no one in line so far, so let's see. I hear voices. I Spoke too soon. There's a long line. I guess we'll have to wait. You know what's scarier than these zombies? The line for this ride. We waited for about an hour and ended up bailing. It was too long and I couldn't wait. I hate spinny rides like this. They make me feel so dizzy and nauseous. Honestly, I want puke just looking at it. Not for me. Let's go to the carousel. This is so cute. They call it the dairy go-round instead of merry-go-round because they have farm animals. That's adorable. I see which one I'm getting. It's tall. I made a beeline for the chicken. Buckle up and hold on tight. The carousel The Chicken is such a classic ride, but I don't think I've ever ridden a chicken before. This is not smooth. A little bit of a bumpy ride. This is cameraman behind the scenes. Don't have too much fun, okay? Woo! That was an adrenaline rush. I'm still shaking. I had white knuckles. I was holding on so tight. My heart's racing. Roller coaster better. Highly recommend the carousel. Do not miss that ride if you're a thrill seeker. They have a haunted house here. I was going to attempt it, but the wait is 50 minutes. It's just a bit too long for me. Secretly, I'm a little bit relieved. I know it's a bit lame, but my biggest fear is haunted houses. I'm a very jumpy person and I'm a huge wimp, so whenever somebody scares me, I freak out. I hate jump scares. I'm actually traumatized because when I was young, I begged my mom to let me go in a haunted house and I ended up crying and leaving out the emergency exit. I was going to try to to face my fears today, but looks like we can't. No choice. Bummer.
I'll buy an express ticket.
I think I saw they were sold out. It's okay, next time, next time. I know you're scared, so it's okay. Actually, the zombies will be coming out here soon, so I feel like that's close to being a haunted house. Are we lost? I'm trying to find some juice. They serve juice in a blood bag for Halloween, and I want it. Linga juice? Juice? I have a vampire bite, so of course I have to drink some blood. Mmm, it's sour and sweet and delicious. Can you guess my blood type? I'm type O. What kind of people are type O people?
Nice. People person.
Any downsides? You hesitated too long. That's supposed to be no immediately. Should I act natural or strike a pose? Can you do it vertically? Thank you. Can you try a different angle? Oh, not like that. Up a little higher. Okay, let me see. How is it? Oh, the lighting's good. It's a little blurry, but it'll do. Okay, one more. I lied. Can you do one horizontal? I'm just going to smile. Okay, I'm done. I'm so scared. Hold my hand. See, they're running. Me too. Go! Danger, danger! I'm with them, man. They're smart. Hell no, bro. Bro. Wow.
It really helped whip.
I told you it's creepy. They see that I'm scared and I become a target. I got close enough to them to even take photos though, so I have to pat myself on the back for that. Your favorite flavor? This one is yours. I'm feeling generous. I'm glad he lured us in. Itjib tchar honey. Let's win some prizes. I'm scoping out the claw machines. I always go for Toothless because he's my favorite, but tonight I want to try something else. I'm gonna try to win Shrek tonight. I'm not very good at claw machines. Means, but I have a good feeling. Here we go. I got robbed. That was so close. Okay, one more try. I'm worried about that corner. I'm so close. Nope. This is how they get you.
I'll buy you one.
Where? Okay, I'm holding you to it, everybody. You are my witness. Kong is gonna buy me a little Shrek from Temu. Okay, let's play games. Woohoo! Good try, good game. Okay, ready? Good boy. Oh my God, good boy, good boy. You killed me. I didn't know you were a baller. Wow, he can shoot some hoops. I still beat him in air hockey though, don't forget it. Wow, they are scary.
Oh, they took someone?
I would have freaked out. Wow, the castle looks so cool all lit up at night. Sadly, my time at Lotte World has come to an end. It was a little bit spooky, but I had a blast. Now I'm going to return my uniform and head home. Thanks so much for watching, and I'll see you next time.
Bye!
Happy Halloween! They have So many nifty things here. I feel like I'm at Olive Young. Did we go overboard a little bit? Wait, what? Don't even lie, it was the lamest, funniest thing ever. Today I'm taking you guys with me to one of my favorite stores in Korea, Daiso. I love it because it's so cheap and they have everything there. While shopping, I'll give you some of recommendations, but to make things more fun, my husband and I will be doing a challenge. We will secretly shop for each other. Let's get started. Ah! I thought I heard this and then I was like, did I hear that right? I love it. This is so sweet. Ready?
Yeah.
Go buy me some good stuff.
We'll see your surprise.
Bye! I have no idea what I'm going to buy. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage because men are much harder to shop for than women. I'm in the toy aisle, which seems silly, but I found a memory game and he really likes memory stuff, so I feel like this will be fun for him. I'm heading to the stationery aisle next. They have so many nifty things here. Quick pop quiz: what do you call this in English? It's called correction tape, or sometimes we call it by the brand, Whiteout. Another pop quiz, because things like these are so popular at Daiso. What do you call this in English? It's a storage bin. Hello, what do you got?
Damn, there's so many stuff. What should I get? This looks good cuz we really don't have a small light. Might be a good one for Callie Oh, this is what I should get for her, like kookbap style, because she loves kookbap and she said she would like to cook jjigae. I think she'll like it.
I love hosting parties and Daiso has super cute glassware. So if I were shopping for myself, I would get something like this. Let's see if Hong he buys it for me. I'm in the health and beauty section looking at oral hygiene products because Hong has been taking really good care of his teeth lately. Wow, they've really expanded their makeup and skincare here at Daiso. I feel like I'm at Olive Young. I'm snagging the last one.
I've seen this from many YouTube videos. Maybe I'll get this one. It's kind of cute. I hope she didn't buy the same thing. Wow, I filled my cart. Maybe I bought too many. Time to check out.
I can't leave without checking out the snack aisle. I saw these, which I really love. They're vegan-friendly and they just melt in your mouth. Delicious. I think he'll like these. He really likes the texture of these chips. He's got a big sweet tooth. I think I'm done. Let's go ring this stuff up. Did we overdo it? Did we go overboard a little bit? How'd you do?
A lot. It's only ₩60,000 and I bought 22 items.
So were you going for quantity over quality?
Both quality and quantity.
I'll be the judge of that. I'm feeling pretty confident about my purchases as well. I spent ₩43,500. Should we do the grand reveal? Wait, who's going first? Rock, paper, scissors, shoot! First items.
Whoa, it's so big. Wow, how much is it?
These are only 5,000 Korean won. Foldable camp chairs.
I've been telling you about it.
Yes, he's been wanting these chairs to go sit on the beach.
Yeah, because we live by the beach.
There's no back. Wait, what?
I don't think it's a chair.
It's not the chair.
It's a table.
Okay, this one's a chair. What? They were right by each other. So I got one chair, one table.
Oh, so it's only for me. Thank you.
No, I guess I have to go back and get myself a chair.
Oh, nice. Wow, I'm definitely going to use this. This is the light. It's only $5, and it's turned off by remote control.
So I don't have to have you. Watch this. Huh, light! That's pretty good.
And you can change the color of it to a warmer light.
I like this. This will be a good reading light for me. I can put it next to the bed when I read. Pretty good.
Yeah, this— hey, champagne glass.
You overheard me. Don't even lie.
I didn't know you meant this though. Hong should check this out, something like that. And then I checked that out, the whole wine glasses, and this seems like sticking out to me.
So I was worried about that. I was scared that I was speaking too loudly, and after I saw you over there. Okay, I have a silly one.
Ta-da! What is it?
It's a memory game. I got this for a couple of reasons. Number 1, you actually have really good memory, and I think you like to brag about it. I have bad memory, so he likes to like show off sometimes.
Is that a compliment or not?
And then number 2, you're getting older, so it's good to—
It's definitely not a compliment.
You got to keep your brain sharp. What? Okay, I like to prank. See, he likes it. I think he likes it.
I have a silly one too. Okay. Um, oh, you like to play it so for a cuter way.
What? It's so tiny. Are you trying to tell me to like go on a diet or something? This is a children's plate.
Move on. And this—
oh, I actually really like this.
Yeah, you talked about it today.
Oh, I did. Gyeran-jjim, right?
Or you can do kimchi-jjigae too.
Oh really? In this? Like a single serve? Hey, I like it. Thank you.
I have this too. Oh, monthly schedule. Actually, this is for— We need a J.
True.
We're both P. Very spontaneous and like, whoa.
Life has been chaotic lately. Hopefully this will help us out. Do you remember what we both got each other for Christmas? That one year with stockings?
We bought each other a lot of stuff. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I like this. Toluri.
We both, for Christmas one year, bought each other a lint roller. It was the lamest funniest thing ever.
Just say it's practical.
It is practical.
How would you call it again? I would say like a sticky roller.
Lint roller. Lint, because lint are the fuzzies.
Random stuff. Candy Garden with the gorilla leaf.
Where are we gonna plant this?
Here?
No, this, this is the flower, isn't it? Usually these come with seeds in. Yeah. Oh, you gotta read the details.
Okay, they can be neighborhood.
I do not have a green thumb. I'm not great at growing things, but I do love plants, so I'm happy to attempt.
Yeah, and you like perilla leaf. I do.
We just got to buy another pot.
Yeah, I didn't know it comes with a seed.
There's no back?
Chair?
Air freshener.
Are you saying I'm smelly?
It's for when you go number 2.
You're not going number 2? We both are human and both are going number 2.
Yes, that's true, but Someone's is a little more—
What?
Okay, moving on.
These are like— I wanted to try. It's so like—
Okay, beauty influencer.
It's crazy that it's only like $3 to $5.
That's crazy.
Because Olive Young, it's usually like $30.
Since we're doing the beauty stuff, I'll do mine as well. First of all, I got you.
For my BB cream.
I noticed yours was dirty, so— there's a replacement. Okay, and then I got this cuz they're Riedel.
That's what I was looking for. Yeah, I think you got the last one.
I did.
Ah, that's why I couldn't find it. I was trying to buy this one and then I couldn't find this. Ta-da! Cuz we travel to Seoul quite often, right? And this might be a small bag we can put it on top of the carrier. Is it carrier or luggage?
Suitcase.
Suitcase. Yeah, put it on top of suitcase. Case easily.
Interesting.
It's only 5 bucks. That's crazy.
All right, sweet. We can always use travel stuff. That stuff is definitely handy for us.
Wow, feels like Christmas.
Thank you.
Thank you. All the stuff is how much? Like, shinbanon. Yeah, this whole thing, we bought at least 35 items. Yeah, I love Daiso.
I do too. In the US, we call places like Daiso a dollar store. It used to be that everything cost a dollar, but but now it's just kind of a more general term for places where you can buy a variety of things at a very cheap price. But dollar stores in the US aren't as cute. I feel like in the US it's all about buying practical functional things— cleaning supplies, stationery, just everyday items. But I feel like at Daiso it's also very functional, very useful stuff, but it's also very cute. And aesthetic. Even the calendar is cute. I knew you're gonna say that.
This is cute. You will never find this in the dollar store in the US, you know. Actually, when we went to USA in Texas, there was a pretty big Daiso there. Yeah, we looked around.
That's true, that's true.
Daiso is conquering the world.
Yeah, it's going global. If you guys have any recommendations for what to buy at Daiso Please let us know in the comments. Also, maybe you can be the judge of who won this competition.
That's pretty obvious.
Yeah, pretty obvious that I won. Thanks so much for watching, and we will see you next time. Bye!
Bye!
Mushi, koi da wasai wo. I think we went the wrong way. You can eat the butt. Hey guys! Today I'm going hiking. The weather is beautiful. I checked the air quality and thankfully it's looking pretty good today. Let's warm up and stretch a little bit before I hit the trail. Gotta loosen up these legs. How's my balance? Oh, not bad. Oh! My muscles are tight. Fit check! I have a zip-up on because I always like to dress in layers while hiking. I have a hat on and a backpack full of supplies, and of course, I wore my hiking boots. I'm ready. Let's check the trail map to see which route I'll be taking. I want to go to the Peak today. Go Dang Bong. That's where we're heading today. And we are here. Okay, our course is about 2 kilometers and it says it should take about an hour, but I guess that depends on how many snack breaks I take. Let's go. I came across a temple here. It's so peaceful listening to the sounds of nature. It's my dream to do a temple stay one day. It's on my Korea bucket list. Shh, keep out. Meditation in progress.
Are we almost there?
We just got to the foot of the mountain. Come on, cameraman, put a little pep in your step. Power walking.
Walking dead.
The trail is a little bit rocky and steep at times, but there's lots of shade, so I'm happy. 안녕하세요. 호크시 고이다? 안녕하세요. Those ladies were very honest, saying I was still very far from the top. In the US, it's kind of an unspoken rule. If somebody asks that, you have to say you're almost there, even if you're very far. Am I almost to the top? You're almost there. You're almost there. Why do I feel like we've walked a 5K already though? Our course is about 2 kilometers. Time for a water break. I'm out of shape. I need to catch my breath. I'm so sweaty. Okay, let's go. We have this whole trail all to ourselves. I think we went the wrong way because I've seen a few people going downhill, but nobody else is going up the mountain on this path like we are. We saw a few ajummas and ajoshis though, and wow, I always admire the ajummas and ajoshis hiking in Korea. They always have their walking sticks and all their gear, and they just have such amazing stamina. Honestly, I'm always the one having to let them pass because they're so fast and strong. Almost there, come on, we gotta power through. It's the home stretch here, but I see my biggest enemy when hiking: the stairs. Dun dun dun! I hate the stairs. This is such an amazing view, and the leaves are changing colors. It reminds me of home. Michigan has beautiful fall colors. I was hoping we'd catch them this year.
Yes! Kaja!
I'm procrastinating.
Kaja!
I'm putting off these stairs.
Callie, Callie!
No! Okay, busted. I'm not too sure-footed. Gotta use my whole body. We made it to the peak.
Woohoo!
I have to take a picture with the marker for proof. It's breathtaking. Hiking is very rewarding. It was a struggle getting to the top, but the views are worth it. A hiking necessity: kimbap. You can eat the butt. I don't like the butt, it's too big. Mm. Mugunji? Chamchi?
Mugunji.
Mugunji.
What's your favorite hike you've ever done?
I've done a lot of hiking in Korea. I did Jirisan, and my first hike ever in Korea was Seoraksan. We started at 3 AM. I thought we were going to be the only crazy people on the mountain, and there was a line going up the mountain. It was a really hard hike, but I met some of my best friends in Korea on that hike.
What about out of Korea?
Oh, some of the hikes in the national parks in the US were amazing, like Angels Landing. Also Norway, it honestly felt like we were on another planet. It was just so beautiful. Gotta keep the trail clean, no littering. Before I went on the Appalachian Trail, I had to get Leave No Trace certified. It's to make sure that when I'm hiking and camping in the wilderness, I leave it in better condition than when I found it. Always clean up after yourself. Let's take a look with the binoculars.
Whoa!
I can see the apartments.
Oh! Oh!
There's a really pretty bird. I think it's good for bird watching. Watch your step. It's a little steep here. Going down is really hard on my knees. I feel like they're gonna give out. It's a little slippery too. Whoa, that's a big drop. I know this is not gonna look cool on camera, okay? Trail running. There's so many huge boulders here. I didn't know I was going bouldering today. Woohoo! I see signs of life. We made it. Wow, another great view of the fall colors. They're stunning. The camera just doesn't capture its beauty. Oh, someone feeds you well, huh? Can we take him home?
I think he's kept here.
That's true. I love Korea, you guys. Think of everything. We don't have this in the US. Let's clean up and get all the dust and bugs and nasty stuff off me. Food. Annyeonghaseyo. Makgeolli, John. Pajeon, hanaraeng, dotorimok, hanaraeng. Dongdongju. Food at the bottom of a mountain is always the best. I love acorn jelly, and I heard that it's handmade here, so it must be great. I also got some Dongdongju. I love traditional Korean alcohol, but I'm not gonna lie, it always gives me a killer headache the next day. I hope that's not the case tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Cheers! Post-hike makgeolli hits different. Mmm, let's dig in. Mmm, I love however they season this. It's addicting. I'm starving after that hike. I'm content. I'm already forgetting about how tired I was hiking up that mountain. This is making it all better. I'm going to enjoy the rest of my meal. Thank you so much for watching and see you next time.
Bye!
I'm taking out the trash. I'm having a pretty good hair day today. Come on in, make yourself at home. Happy Wafu! It's the Busan Fireworks Festival this weekend. So I'm having a little get-together at my house. I came to Trader's to grab some drinks and snacks. So let's head in. Wow, this is a huge cart. Do you think we can fill it? I think we can. We're being fancy and getting champagne.
Woo!
Let's pop some bottles. Let's go to the produce section to buy some fruit. Grapes are the perfect finger food. Ooh, they have all kinds of different grapes. Which one should we buy? These look pretty good actually. These are so expensive. Like ₩16,000 for this tiny package of strawberries. Dang. It's much cheaper in the US. To be fair, Korean strawberries are much more delicious, but you pay the price for them. I'm hitting up the freezer aisle. Oh, they have the fried chicken ice cream. Remember when I ate this at the beach? It's really delicious, but I'll resist the temptation. Oh, melona! Okay, let's get away from the ice cream. Danger zone. We're putting our other grapes back and getting this huge box of Shine Muscat. They look really good. I don't know, I'm kind of skeptical. Like, why is it so cheap? This costs the same as one pack of those strawberries. We're getting this. We'll send any extras with your family. Really good. You can't pass by the free samples and not grab one. It's a rule.
Mmm.
Let's see if they have some fancy cheeses in the deli. Something like these, maybe, with crackers. Salami. Sami, cheese, and crackers. It's a classic combo. Can't go wrong with that. I think everybody likes dakgangjeong, and it says you can heat it in the air fryer and it's even more delicious. So we gotta get this. 2, 4, 6, 18. That's more than enough, I think. Good thing I skipped lunch today. I bet you this is filled with air. Can I check? This is good. I'm waiting in line for checkout. I think we did good today. We didn't go overboard. It's the day of the party, and I think everyone's going to show up in a few hours. I deep cleaned yesterday, but I still need to pick up the house a little bit before all the guests arrive. I'm gonna start by putting the dishes away. I'm putting the bowls in the cupboard. I'm spraying and wiping down the counters. I'm taking out the trash. It's so full. I'll do the recycling as well. Finally, I'm gonna vacuum. I wanna look cute for the party tonight since it's such a special occasion, so I'm curling my hair with my straightener. Because that's how I do it. I think I'm ready. Thankfully, I'm having a pretty good hair day today. Now it's time to set out the food. I usually like to cook everything myself and prepare a big spread, but unfortunately, I was too busy to do that this time, so I ordered some food and grabbed some simple appetizers and finger food from the grocery store. We're keeping it very casual this time. I'm just pouring some nuts and chips in bowls. Mm, I had to check it and make sure it's good. Quality assurance test. Mm, okay. Cheese plates. These are my go-to when it comes to party food. If you want to be fancy, you can call it a charcuterie board. One more for quality assurance again. Mm, okay, we can serve this. I think it turned out pretty good.
Olives.
Crackers, dessert plate. Mmm. Pro tip: buy packaged food and put it on a plate. That way it looks like you made it. Tip: never throw away your boxes because you can use them again for leftover food after the party. I've made that mistake many times. The last thing I have to do is heat up the chicken. I will just use the air fryer for that so it's not a hassle. I'm setting up the drink table now. I decided to be super fancy and get plastic cups. At least we got plastic champagne glasses. That's a step up. Good. Easy peasy. I'm lighting a candle to set the mood. Oh, I think my first guest is here. Dahye! Hi guys! Dahye came all the way from Seoul for the festival. Yes, oh my God, good to see you. Good to see you. Thank you so much for coming. Oh my God, thanks for having me.
Of course.
Seriously. Come on in, make yourself at home. Oh, I hope you came hungry.
I'm starved.
Perfect. Of course. Time for DJ Callie. What kind of music does your dad like? He plays the saxophone, so I think he'll like jazz music. Let's do that. Mm, that's it, that's it. Okay, I'm done. That's all you get to see. Annyeonghaseyo! Hi! Hi, long time no see. Wow, you didn't have to bring all this.
I didn't want to come here empty-handed.
Ah, thank you so much.
It's time for bubble tea.
Yes. Thank you.
It's a pork belly.
Compliments to the chef. Thank you, whoever you are. Wow, I've never done this before. This takes skill. Impossible. Yes, you're going to be the DD. Designated driver. So he cannot drink alcohol tonight. He has to drive home.
Dee dee.
Hyunhee, let me top you off.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Can I get you anything else? Do you want another drink?
Yes.
Okay, let's share one more. Okay. How about a session? Oh yeah. You gave me a lot though. I don't think so.
Are we even?
We're even. Really? Good job. Cheers. Wow, seems like they have good crowd control. This is very organized. Oh, it's starting.
It's just starting.
It's just starting. 3, 2, 1, fire! Oh my God!
Wow! Anyone want some champagne?
Yes, please.
Top it up.
VIP service here. VIP service. Why do I feel like we're friends now? Like, I want to invite them up. Mm, and let's go walk them out. Get home safe. That's a wrap on our home party. Family just left. The house is actually pretty clean thanks to my mother-in-law. We made so many good memories tonight. Thank you so much for watching, and I will see you next time. Bye! It's pretty good bang for your buck. I'm going to be on a sugar high after tonight. My hands are numb. What the heck? Merry Christmas! I'm at the Christmas Market in Busan. I've seen it all over social media, so I'm excited to be here and experience it for myself. I'm pretty hungry, so let's go check out the food and drink stands first. Kamsahamnida! Mulled wine is a must at Christmas markets. It's steaming hot. I have to blow on it to cool it off. Mmm, so good. They have a cinnamon stick and a slice of orange in it. Oh, are you giving samples? Thank you. Mmm, that's so good. This is your Christmas special? Actually, I've been to your shop before.
Oh really?
Yeah, I really like it. I'm being so indecisive. I can't make up my mind about what to eat. There's just so much good food here. This is like a little sampler platter. I think I'm gonna get this because it's great for indecisive people. You can try a little bit of everything. Bon appétit! Let's go! I feel like I'm in the lunch line at school with my tray. It's like collecting Pokémon. Mission complete! Let's go eat this. Before it gets cold. Let's see if we can find a seat. There's so many people here. Let's try the sausage first. I feel like it's getting cold. Mmm. They even have sauerkraut. I'm impressed. Mmm. It reminds me of German Christmas markets. I've never been to a German German Christmas market, but that's what I imagined they'd serve there. I got Mapadubu noodles. This is a first for me. Very delicious. I'll never go back to eating this with rice. It's so good with noodles. I think we did pretty good. We finished almost everything. I really liked this platter because I got to try a variety of different foods. It was ₩36,000 Korean won, but you get a lot of food, so it's pretty good bang for your buck. The sun is setting and it's getting a bit chilly, so I'm gonna head inside for a little bit to take a break and warm up. My hands are numb. Let's brave the cold for some hot chocolate.
Come on.
Let's try the marshmallow first.
Mmm.
I love toasted marshmallow. I feel like it's going to get on my nose.
Woo.
That is rich. I'm gonna be on a sugar high after tonight. Tricep. It's fruit, so it's healthy, right? Chocolate-covered strawberries like this are so popular everywhere these days. She was so generous with the peanut butter too. Whoa, so good. So messy. Spicy, but really delicious. Michelin-san amiyo! The calories don't count on Christmas. Santa's here, but I didn't see him put any presents under the tree for me. He just sprayed snow in my face. What the heck? Winter water bomb. Santa's water bomb. Water bomb. I love seeing the trees all lit up at night. It reminds me of putting up my Christmas tree at home with my mom. It's one of my favorite Christmas traditions every year. How do they get the ornaments on the tree way up at the top? There's people toasting marshmallows over a fire. I want to do it, but I've had too much sugar today. It's time for some Christmas shopping. Who needs Santa when I've got the cameraman, right? He's ignoring me. This is the best one. Oh, that's a really cool gift actually. I love E.T. I want this one, Santa. If you're listening, eaty fun home. It's kind of cool. I've never seen something like that before. Okay, just one or two? I haven't bought something nice for myself like this for a long time. It's Christmas! It's just so unique. I can't pass it up. The elves were working hard in their workshop and they made me a nice gift.
Get in.
I'm pretty worn out. I'm coming down from my sugar high, so it's time to go home. Let's get out of here. It's getting more and more packed. Maybe I'm getting old because that Christmas market completely exhausted me. It put me in the Christmas spirit though, so now I'm watching a Christmas movie. I'm watching The Grinch, which is my all-time favorite Christmas movie, but I've never seen the animated version before, so it's my first time watching that. I really recommend watching The Grinch movie starring Jim Carrey. It's fantastic. Thanks for watching and happy holidays! Bye! 3, 3, oh, 2, 1. It was so hard to roll out of bed. I'm stuffed. 2026 is off to a great start. Happy New Year's Eve! We have 2 hours left in 2025, So let's ring in the new year together. First things first, let's pop some bubbly. Woo! Here's to a happy and healthy 2026. I hope this year is full of lots of laughter and great memories. Cheers! I'm going to celebrate tonight by making a vision board. I have a lot of goals for 2026, so this will be a great way to organize them. I printed off some photos that I'm going to cut and glue onto the board. The photos represent my goals or dreams for the upcoming year. While I work on this, I'm going to do my own version of the Wrapped trend. Every year Spotify Wrapped shows what music people have listened to the most throughout the entire year. In the US, people have started doing their own versions of Wrapped to just review or reflect on their year. So I'm going to do that and share some of my favorite things from 2025. I read a lot of great books this year, but my favorite one was probably Perfume by Patrick Suskind. I just randomly bought it at a used bookstore. It exceeded my expectations. It's about a murderer, so it's kind of a creepy and twisted book. But it was very well written and the ending was chef's kiss. My favorite movie this year was Companion. It's a thriller about robots. In my opinion, it is definitely underrated. There were so many twists and turns and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't recommend this movie enough. Go watch it if you haven't. I finished cutting, so now I'm going to glue them onto the poster board to make a collage. This year, instead of listening to a lot of new music, I rediscovered a lot of old music that I used to really like. One band that I listened to a lot was The New Radicals. The New Radicals are a '90s alternative rock band. I remember hearing a lot of their songs in movies when I was young. Their music is so addicting. It's the kind of music that instantly puts you in a better mood. My favorite food this year was kind of random, but I became obs— obsessed with this Japanese chocolate. I believe it's called Alfort chocolate. I came across it at the CU one day and bought it on a whim, and I became obsessed with it. It's just melon chocolate with a little cookie on the bottom, and it is so delicious. I made a lot of great memories in 2025. So this one was really hard to choose, but I think one of my favorite memories from this year was going to Vegas with my family. We had so much fun there and it was just really sweet getting to travel with my mom and celebrate her retirement together. Plus, I went on my first helicopter ride ever there. It was scary, but it was amazing. The views were breathtaking. I'll never forget that experience. And that's it for my 2025 wrapped. Please share some of your recommendations in the comments below. I need some new good movies and books to enjoy in 2026. Ta-da! Closer look. This says "Worry less, sleep more." Something I really want to work on in 2026 is my sleeping habits. I want to get a good bedtime routine. I want to wake up earlier every day this year. I'm a morning person and I always feel my best when I wake up early, so I want to make it a habit. This says, "Make decisions from the perspective of who you want to become." I truly believe that life is just a series of decisions, and lately I've been super indecisive, so I need to work on my decision-making skills. I want to become a better and more confident public speaker. I want to host at least one dinner party. I want to— no, I will be able to do at least one pull-up this year. I want to discover my personal style this year as well and be a bit more bold with my fashion choices. I want to volunteer more and get involved in the community. This says, "Discipline is nothing but self-love at the highest level." I feel like discipline is something I really need to work on. I want to nail down my routines and habits this year. And that's it. I'm going to hang this on my wall and hopefully it keeps me feeling inspired, motivated, and it helps me reach all of my 2026 goals. I heard they're having a countdown event outside so let's bundle up and go check it out. I came to the beach for a drone show. Apparently it's gonna be a a big one, so I'm excited. Oh, pretty impressive. 3, 3, 2, 1.
Woo!
It's the year of the horse, right? When is it going to be my year, huh? Say hey, Vogue Mani Badu. Say oh, happy new year! Happy new year! Bye!
Love you! Wake up, we're late! Let's go!
Wow, I can't believe how many people are actually out here this morning. I'm exhausted. It was so hard to roll out of bed.
I thought you're a morning person.
Hey, wow, this view is worth the early alarm. The sun is finally starting to rise. It's so beautiful. Now it's time to make a wish.
What's your wish?
I can't tell you or else it won't come true. Wah! I'm on my way to get some 떡국 to warm up. I'm praying there's not gonna be a long line. But it looks like a lot of people are heading in the same direction. Fingers crossed. This is actually a chicken noodle soup restaurant, but they have a special for this morning only since it's New Year's Day, and they're serving dakguk. We got our number. We're number 2 in line, but she said it would take over 30 minutes for us to get our seat.
A few moments later.
The wait was shorter than expected, and this looks incredible. 2026 is off to a great start. Mm, the soup is So good. It's really comforting, but I'm a little sad eating it knowing I'm a year older now. I'll drown my sorrows with this delicious soup. I'm stuffed. It's time to hit the gym. I gotta get started on those New Year's resolutions. You know what I mean? Just kidding. I'm probably going home to take a nap. Happy New Year, and I hope all of your dreams and wishes come true in 2026. Bye!
Happy New Year!
