A doctor explains that eye irritation comes from allergies or bacterial infection, often from smoke or outdoor exposure. Treatment: oral steroids taken in the morning on a tapering dose, plus antibiotic eye drops to prevent discharge from getting worse.
Usually this is pretty common. It can be due to either like an allergy or bacteria that can get in your eye, especially with the change of environment. Okay. Wouldn't be unheard of, you know, whether, you know, maybe you have a little intolerance to the wood stove or whatever you came into contact with. Okay. Being outdoors and stuff. So what I would recommend is a steroid orally, which I can send in for you. Okay. It's a taper, so Basically a higher dose in the beginning and then taper down. Okay. Take it in the morning, not at bedtime. Okay. Um, and then an eye drop, which I'll send as well, which is like an antibiotic eye drop, just that way it doesn't get worse since you had that discharge in the eye this morning.
