Callie Anderson teaches English through everyday situations like ordering coffee and making small talk, not grammar rules. Her ebook has sold over 3,000 copies. She argues learners pick up language the way babies do: by watching, listening, and mimicking, and that ten minutes of daily practice builds fluency.

Thank you so much to everybody who bought our ebook. We sold over 3,000 copies and have gotten a very positive response. So really, thank you so much. I had a lot of eye issues lately, but I promise I'm still working hard. Surprisingly, you don't need to know too many words to be able to speak English. The reason why we're making these vlogs is so that you can learn through comprehensive input. It's very important when you're learning a second language. When I'm vlogging, I speak very naturally and show what I'm doing through my actions. For example, in my daily routine vlogs, I teach you phrases such as "make the bed," "take out the trash," and "grab a coffee." I'm making the bed.
Taking out the trash. That's so true.
You don't see babies with grammar books, right? They just learn through watching and listening and mimicking. I'm gonna show you exactly how it works right now. Let's go grab a coffee. I'm lazy, so I don't like to untie my shoes. I just slip them on. It's bad. I know. Let's head out. I'm impatient because I'm so thirsty right now. It's a bit cloudy outside, but it feels good. There's a nice breeze. I'm crossing the street and going to an Australian brunch cafe so I can order in English. We made it.
안녕하세요.
Hi. Hi. How are you? Good, yourself? Good.
Are you guys having in or takeaway?
Takeaway, please. Do you guys have decaf by chance? Can I do an iced decaf vanilla latte?
Absolutely. Is that all for you tonight?
I think so. Yep, that'll be all. Let's try some small talk with the owner. I just want to say I love your cafe so much.
Oh, sweet.
Oh, thank you so much. You guys are so lovely here. I look forward to coming here all the time. Are you around?
Yeah, we live in the neighborhood.
Were you born and raised in Australia?
I've been living in Australia for like 20-25 years. I just moved here like 3 years ago.
Where at in Australia?
Sydney.
Sydney? It's my dream to go there one day.
It's not the greatest anymore. I mean, it's really good like a beach culture and people-wise, but Sydney now is one of the like most expensive city to live in, but people-wise it's so lovely. Aussie people like sit back and just relax, enjoy, chill.
I think so. I always picture like the beach, very chill. One day, one day I'll make it.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
Bye.
They even have a cute heart straw for their drinks. I love it. I always shake my iced coffee to mix it up a little bit. Let me take my first sip. It's perfect. It's really sweet but so refreshing. Let's go back home and enjoy this in the AC. I love how most places in Korea use keypads. In the US, a lot of people still have physical keys. This is much more convenient. Don't look, it's a secret. Now it's time to film the rest of this video. I just sat on the couch and Now I have to fix my hair. I gotta look good on camera. See you guys in a second. I was worried that people would just watch the YouTube video one time and forget everything they learned, so that's why I developed a workbook. That way they can practice what they learned and not only get the input from the videos but also have some output. We got a lot of really nice reviews, and I'm so thankful for all of them, but I was especially touched when I heard that kids were using my materials to study English. And I actually really like the way that they use my materials as well because they have a very interactive approach. For example, when I went to the Han River and ate ramen, they also ate ramen with me. I think it makes it more fun and interactive, and it's a great way to learn because then they can mimic and repeat everything that I'm saying and doing. It was also really cool to hear their parents say that they were really excited to learn English now.
I really like learning English. I want to learn more. How about you? What was one of your favorite reviews? Those expressions pop into my head when I am in similar situation or a place. You told me to pick one and you said like 3.
Not fair! One tip for using our materials is to try to apply what you learn to your own life.. So for example, if you're going grocery shopping, you can watch my Costco vlog, and as you're grocery shopping, try using some of the phrases that I use. I try to go many different places, vlog in many different scenarios. I'm sure that you can relate to some of my vlogs.

It's a long journey. And practicing your English even 10 minutes a day is better than not studying or practicing at all.
Thank you everybody! Goodbye!
안녕히다!
