It's scorching hot. I'm getting sweaty. I'm a wimp. I'm dehydrated. I need some shikhae. They're so cute. Today I am at one of the biggest and best gingerbongs in all of Korea, Spa Land in Busan. I love Korean spas, and this one is super fancy, so I'm excited to explore, rest, and recharge a bit. When I paid for my ticket, they gave me a wristband. Everything here is cashless, so if I want to buy something, I just have to tap this wristband. Behind me is the hottest room here. I'm kind of scared to try it, but go big or go home, right? It's 68°C, so it's scorching hot. Let's see how long I can handle this heat. Inner peace. I'm getting sweaty. I'm dying. Let's get out of here. It got even hotter after I went in there. I was struggling in there, but all the imos made it look so easy. It didn't even faze them. Let's head to the ice room to cool off. I'm going from 70° to 10°, but I'm from Michigan, so this should be no problem. I've got this. It's freezing. I've got goosebumps on my arm and my teeth are chattering. I'm a wimp. Let's go Back to the hot room. Oh my gosh, I lied earlier because I found an even hotter room. It's called the bulgama and it's 75°C. I'm not going to lie, I'm terrified. I feel like I'm suffocating. I can't breathe. Let's go, Bali, Bali. Does my face look like a tomato now? I've done extremely hot rooms, an extremely cold room. I think it's time to find a happy medium. This is more my speed. It's not too hot, not too cold. It's just right. I'm dehydrated. I need some shikei. Let's head to the snack bar. Shikei hanaran kun geiran hanajiseyo. Khob samui da. Mm, I love shikei. So good. I'm gonna find a spot to sit and rest and enjoy my snack. I have to make one of these towel hats. I love that they call it a sheep head. They have very nice clear instructions. I'm going to follow the instructions and make my sheep head hat. Lay the towel flat, fold it into thirds lengthwise, roll both ends inward. Okay. And flip it open in the middle. Let's see how I did. Not too bad. I'm proud of myself. They're so cute. I'm gonna crack the egg. That's actually painful. I swear I've seen Koreans do this. How? Yano. Shikei and hard-boiled egg. This is a killer combo. There's an outdoor foot bath. It's really cold outside, but they offer jackets for you to wear. How do I look? Fit check. Do you need a jacket? Oh, camera guy's cool. Too tough. Okay, cool guy, let's see. Oh, let's write a message. I'm using chalk to write a message on the chalkboard. Callie Anderson was here. Where to first? They have different colored foot baths here. They have a pink one, a blue one. I'm getting in the greenish yellowish one. I guess I guess the different colors are just for fun and to look cool. Feels good though. Ahh! Of course I have to test out the hammock. I feel like I'm in a little cocoon. Just leave me in peace here, please. Jari ga! Oh, that's good. Not too aggressive, not too aggressive. These stones hurt. I know walking on these little pebbles is a type of reflexology and it's supposed to be good for you, but it's really painful. I've suffered enough. Let's go back inside. This massage chair was calling my name. This is intense. Where do my arms go? Oh, here. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Ooh, that feels good. I think I need one of these at home. Whoa, I'm shimmying, not on purpose. There's a game zone here. Let's kick the cameraman's butt in some games. I found the cutest stuffed animal here. So I have to give it a shot and try to win it. Oh, I want the salmon. Oh, oh, so close. Third time's a charm. I heard wiggling the joystick helps. Nope. Should I try one more time? Tekken! I used to love Tekken when I was a kid. So intense. Got it, got it, got it! Go, go, go, go! Oh yeah! We took photos in the photo booth, but our poses were so bad this time, so they didn't turn out great. But hey, It's for the memories. Let's go to Noodle Land. It's a self-serve ramen noodle bar. It reminds me of eating ramen at the Han River. I'm so stoked for this. Very hungry. Should I go for the familiar shin ramen or should I try something new today? They have so many options to choose from. I'm trying sesame ramen this time. It's gotta be good because it's almost all sold out. Now I have to choose some toppings. They have unlimited toppings here. I want to fill up my bowl, but there's a sign that says, "Too many toppings may cause the ramen to overflow or not cook properly, so I have to choose wisely. 1, 2, 3. Rice cake. It's time to cook the ramen. I've got my chopsticks ready. This looks amazing. Mmm. It's a little bit spicy, but not too bad. I can handle this level of spice. I even slurped the noodles. This flavor might be a new favorite of mine. It's pretty good. I can see why it was almost sold out. The only thing I have left to do here is enjoy the baths. Obviously I can't take you guys with me because Everyone there is naked. Actually, when I first came to Korea, I was so surprised that the spas were all nude. That was a big culture shock for me, but now I'm used to it. One English phrase that you can use to describe someone without clothes is "in their birthday suit" because when you're born, you have no clothes on. Everyone at the spa is in their birthday suit. It's kind of a fun and interesting phrase. Thanks for spending the day with me, and I'll see you next time. Bye!
