Good morning, everybody, or good evening. Let's talk about a fun subject right here in America, the National Football League. This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I've been a football fan all my life. More importantly, Detroit Lions fan all my life. Let's have fun with this episode because today it's football Sunday. To be honest with you, you really don't know what you got as far as your favorite team, how they're gonna make it until after you see 'em play maybe 3, 4 games. And then you can say, my team's looking sharp, or ooh, my team's got a little bit of work to do. But let's get down to some brass tacks. Here's an interesting statistic I found: 41% of Americans say football is their favorite sport. That's a pretty big percentage. Sports is a huge industry in the United States. Football pretty much takes the cake. For instance, today being Football Sunday, it's kind of cool because you can walk through my neighborhood and you might see 3, maybe 4 garage parties. People open up their garage, put a big-screen TV in their garage, turn on their favorite football game. Next thing You know, you have friends coming over, family coming over, you'll hear an eruption of applause, hollering, and it brings out all the emotions. That's what makes football so good, I think. It's on the field battle. One of the big things about going to a live football game is the price of tickets. There's so much money wrapped up into contracts for the players, which are very expensive. I believe the top contract this year was Dak Prescott, $60 million contract, and that's just one guy. Now granted, these These guys can get injured. The possibilities are endless when it comes to injuries. So these guys are paid quite good. This requires you to be in top physical condition. You have to be able to take a beating and give a beating. It just fills your head, and I guess it never stops. Even at my age, it's like, man, if I could do that, I'd do it. That's what my brain says. My body says something different. So if you haven't seen an NFL game yet, tune into one. I have to share an experience with you. Last year, my daughter and her husband took my wife and me to a Detroit Lions Lions game. My first instinct was to scold my daughter, spend your money in a better way than this, don't spend it on these tickets taking your dad and ma to a game like this. Well, she quickly corrected me, so I was humbled. And what did I say? All right, let's go Lions, let's go to the game! And we had the time of our life. Our team won that day. It was a great day to spend with my son-in-law and my daughter. That was just a great memory I will have forever. If you ever get to a live game, they are loud, the cheers you hear, the boos you hear, and nothing quite beats the adrenaline rush being at a live game. In the meantime, I'm really curious to know who your favorite NFL team is and maybe why. Well, mine's Detroit Lions because I grew up in Michigan. That's my home team right there, Detroit Lions. I'd love to see them win a Super Bowl someday. But if you want, in the comments, tell me who your favorite NFL team is and why. Everyone's got their own favorite team. There's not a good team, there's not a bad team. It's just What's your favorite team? So until then, I look forward to hearing from you. Go Lions!
