Callie Anderson teaches Korean learners to write English diary entries using a three-sentence framework: past tense for what happened, present continuous for how you feel now, and future tense for your plans. She runs a verb quiz, builds example entries with the chat, and explains why keeping a daily diary helps you practice English.

Okay. Hello. Hi, Ronnie. Good evening. Happy Sunday. Oh, thank you so much. It's the lighting, I promise. Thank you though. That's so sweet. It's the good lighting. Hello, hello. Hi, Oh Jungyoon. Hello, hello. Annyeonghaseyo. Hello, Hyunsu. Good evening. Hi, Nayeon. Hi, Dani. Sorry. Hi. Hello, SN. Hi, Susu. I'm originally from Michigan in the US. Hi, hi, Jongho. Pumpkin. Oh, that's such a cute name. I love that. Hi, Pumpkin. Actually, Pumpkin can be like a sweet name. In the US, right? A sweet name to call someone else. Hi Pumpkin, I love that. That's a really cute name. Hi Mamsu. Hi Buji, nice to meet you. Hello. Hi Ginny. Hi Hong Sun Hey. Jiyeon, hello. Hi everybody. Welcome, welcome. Oh, Hyunee, hello. I will maybe wait to talk about my weekend because we're writing a diary together, so I'll talk about my weekend when we write the diary. Thank you for asking though. Thank you. Wow, I haven't— well, we didn't have a live last weekend because it was the long weekend, right? It's family month, so we had what, Children's Day, Parents' Day. So if any of you guys are parents, happy late Parents' Day. If any kids are watching, happy late Children's Day. And actually today in the US It's Mother's Day. Okay, so even in the US today, it's a special day. So in the US, we don't have Parents' Day. We have Mother's Day and Father's Day. So separate holidays in the US. So especially today, happy Mother's Day to any moms in the chat. Happy Mother's Day. I sent my mom a small gift. And actually, so I have my mom, my stepmom, and now my sister is a mom as well. So it was my sister's first Mother's Day because she gave birth 3 months ago now. Wow, 3 months ago now. So lots of moms in the family now. Hello, hello, welcome, welcome, welcome. It was actually kind of another exciting— there was another special occasion for me this week. It was my wedding anniversary. So not my marriage anniversary, but my wedding anniversary. This week. My husband, he— they're kind of dying now, but my husband surprised me with roses. That was so sweet. I was really surprised. So it was a week full of holidays, full of special occasions. Yes, it is Mother's Day today. Yeah, they give carnations. Basically any flower is a popular gift for Mother's Day. But on Mother's Day, you can also give things like candles or maybe some perfume, like anything that your mom likes. But flowers are very common. I hope you all got some time off and got to relax a little bit with all the holidays. Oh, I also got this new mug. Can you read what it says? It says, I'm all about emotions. Guess my MBTI, right? Can you guess my MBTI type? So I think I've mentioned it before, but can anyone guess my MBTI type based on this? The answer is on the other side of this mug. I'm all about emotions. Any guesses based on that sentence? Song Song, yes. Oh. Did the cameraman just give it away? I think we just gave it away. Not ENFP, INFP. I'm INFP. Everybody thinks I'm an E, but I'm an undercover I. I'm a secret introvert. Everyone thinks I'm E, but to be fair, when I took the MBTI test, I was 52% I and 48% E. So I'm really in the middle there, really in the middle. But yes, A secret introvert, an undercover introvert. No, no, Jay. INFP, ENFJ. ENFJ, you know, I actually don't know too much about MBTI. I think some people are very good at guessing, but I don't know too much about it. I only know mine because I took the quiz. I look like an eye. I am an eye. Anyways, I love this mug. My husband's friend made it for me, which was so sweet. So yes, I love it. Okay guys, so tonight we are writing a diary entry, right? So let's get started on that. First and foremost, when writing a diary, we're going to use a lot of past tense, right? You usually use a lot of past tense when writing a journal or a diary. So we're going to do a quick quiz as a warm-up. Okay, I'm going to say a word and I want you to tell me the past tense form of it. Okay, ready? Quick warm-up. So just type it in the chat if you know the past tense form of this word. Okay, first one, cook. Today I cook. Yesterday I Mm-hmm. Very good. Yes. Woo! Everyone's nailing it. Very good. That's what I love to see. Okay, good, good, good. Yes. Today I cook. Yesterday I cooked. Okay, study. Today I study. Yesterday I— Wow, you guys are on it. Yes, very good. And I love to see that we are all remembering. The Y changes to I, right? So for this one, the Y becomes I. Studied. Yesterday I studied English. Okay, excellent. Mmm, eat, eat. Today I eat. Yesterday I Excellent job, you guys. I ate at school yesterday. Good, good. You had it. You had it, Chun Li. You had it. I ate at school yesterday. Very good. That was great. Ate. Okay, let's do 2 more. Hmm, you guys are good. Let's level up a little bit. Okay, how about, um, since we're talking about journals and diaries, feel. Today I feel Yesterday I— wow, you guys are experts at this. Very good. Yes, good, good. I feel happy. I felt happy. Good. Okay, okay, two more. I lied, two more. Level up. Okay, the last two are harder. Okay, hmm, teach. Today I teach. Yesterday I You guys are so good at spelling too. This one's a harder one. Very good. I'm impressed. Yes, today I teach English. Yesterday I taught English. Okay, last one. Okay, hit, hit. Careful with this one. Hit. No, I said past tense, guys, not present tense. Past tense, past tense. I'm teasing you. Yes, very good. It was a trick question. Yes, you got it. Very good. Past tense is the same, right? Hit, hit. Today I hit Someone. Yesterday I hit someone. That's tricky. Why would they do that? You guys did really great though. Good job everyone. Good job. Good job. Oh, whoever created the English language, they just like to throw some tricks out there. Good job though. Good job, good job. Okay, let me see. Now we're going to write our diary entries. So if you have maybe a pad of paper next to you and a pen, I recommend having those items because then you can actually write your diary. We'll do it together. Okay, so you can write your own diary entry if you have some paper and a pen or a pencil. Okay, let's see here. Um, sorry, let me find where I'm sharing this from. Oh, okay, there we go. Sorry guys, I'm trying to Pull this up. Can you help me? Cameraman's coming to rescue me. He's also the tech guy of the family, if you didn't know that already. I'm sure you did. Oh, you had it. No, right there. Yeah, okay, cameraman comes through once again. Thank you, cameraman. Thank you, thank you. Okay, can you guys see my screen okay? Let me move it a little bit. Okay, so before we get started, usually when it comes to writing in your diary, we write about the past, the present, and the future, right? So the past, we usually talk about what you did. So an activity, what you did, and maybe how you felt about it, right? Was it fun? Was it boring? Did you enjoy it? So an activity that you did. Okay, so here's our skeleton sentence, and, um, one second. Okay, here's our skeleton sentence, and the first blank is when. Okay, so you're gonna put a time in the past. So for me, I'm going to talk about yesterday. Okay, so first blank is when, and then the second blank is the activity. So this is my actual diary entry, guys. This is real. I'm actually going to write about my weekend. So yesterday I went to a friend's wedding, and then I'm going to talk about my experience there, right? So here, um, maybe an adjective, right? So it was fun, but I'm going to add some emphasis on it. So it was lots of fun. Okay, I really enjoyed it. So there's the base of writing about the past tense in my diary. So first blank is when, second blank is the activity that you did, and then the last blank in the last sentence is describing your experience and how the experience was. Okay, so yesterday I went to a friend's wedding. It was lots of fun. Okay, now it's your turn. If you want to share in the chat, you don't have to, but I really encourage it because it's a great way to practice. Mmm, Sarah, excellent! Oh, I love sushi. Yesterday I ate sushi. It was great. Yesterday I played basketball with my sons. It was lots of fun. Oh, that's so sweet. I love basketball. I haven't played in ages. Yesterday I stayed at home all day. It felt a bit boring but comfortable. Okay, maybe instead of comfortable here, I would say But it was relaxing. Very good, Jungjun. Very good sentence. Oh, sorry, that was Wake Up. Good job, Wake Up. It was relaxing. Okay, yesterday I stayed home. Okay, I stayed at home because I caught a cold. It was awful. Oh no, Jungjun, feel better. Get well soon. I had lunch with my mom and my sister. It was good, very nice. I talked to my son abroad. It was emotional. Oh, Morning, I can relate to this. I, I felt that I kind of can get emotional when I talk to my family abroad as well. Where is your son at? Which country is he at? Oh, the Blue House. That's fun. Today we went to the Blue House. It was very hard to mommy, son. Maybe you can say it was maybe exhausting. Was it a little bit exhausting? We went to the Blue House. It could be exhausting. Yesterday I went to duty. Maybe work. Yesterday I went to work. It was tiring. Okay, Hyunee, you can say I was tired or it was tiring. Okay, very good. Tiring. Yesterday I was a couch potato. It was relaxing. You could add a word at the end there. It was such a relaxing day. It was such a relaxing day. Oh, it's good to be a couch potato sometimes. Last night after the wedding, I was a couch potato. Kim Kyu Soo. Okay, this morning. Okay, this morning I played tennis with club members. Okay, with my club. You could say today, or sorry, this morning I played tennis with my club. It was exciting. Oh, that sounds good. That's a good workout. Yesterday I Coffee. Past tense, hung out with my friend. It was great. That sounds fun too. I love seeing my friends on the weekend. Yesterday I watched a movie. It was cool. Very good. All right, you guys are doing an excellent job. Very good. I jogged by the river. Good. Cooked spicy pork. Excellent. Last weekend I went 'I went camping with my family.' So you can get rid of that 'to,' Jamie. 'I went camping with my family. It was lots of fun, but the weather wasn't good, unfortunately.' Mm, oh no. I hope you still enjoyed it. It sounds like you did. It was lots of fun. Oh, your son's in the US. Wow. Oh, good luck to your son. I hope he's doing well there and enjoying it. Okay, you guys are doing a great job. Let's move on. Okay, I promise I will read more comments and respond, um, as we go along. Okay, but for now, let's keep going. Now, this is a good time to maybe add an extra detail. Okay, so this is like the base of talking about the past tense in our diary, right? So I'm going to add just one more detail about it. So yesterday I went to a friend's wedding. It was lots of fun. And then I'm just gonna say, um, I really enjoyed getting to see some old friends. Okay, I really enjoyed getting to see some old friends. Or I could have said the food was delicious, um, the bride and groom looked amazing, right? So any little detail you can add about your experience, um, this is a great time to do it. Okay, so start with the base tell when, right? We have the detail of when, we have the detail of what, and then how we felt about it. And now you can give a little bit more detail about what happened, right? So, okay, um, I think for the detail I'm going to let you do that on your own, maybe. Okay, so try to think of some detail. If you have your notebook with you, you can write down a detail. I'll give you maybe a minute for that. I'll keep reading through the comments while you work on that. Jin Lee, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm so sorry to hear that. Time heals. I hope things get better and start looking up for you soon. Why? Worked out at the gym. It was really tiring. Yes, working out is always tiring. Oh, I went to the library. Very good. That's excellent. So here you could say, yesterday I went to the library. To study, right? Maybe you could talk about what you did though. It was so tiring. Yesterday I ran into Kelly. It was amazing. Potato Kim, did we see each other? Did you meet me? Did you see Callie Sam out in the wild? I did meet some of you in real life. It's been really fun, actually. I'm always so surprised when somebody recognizes me and says hello. It, it really makes my day. So I'm an introvert, it's true, but I love meeting you guys. So please, if you ever see me come say hi. I would love to meet you. Okay, let's move on here. So present, present tense. Okay, now we are talking about our current mood and our thoughts and our feelings, right? Let me add this. So the past is more like reflection. Reflection. Okay, now we're doing present, so our current mood, our current thoughts, and our current feelings. Okay, so let me think my example. Um, right now I am teaching in English class. Okay, I feel happy because I get to talk with my subscribers. There we go, there's mine. Okay, can you see it okay? I hope so. Right now, I am— we're actually doing the -ing form, right? The present continuous. Because we're talking about right at this moment. So put another action in there, make sure you have -ing at the end, and then we're gonna say how it makes you feel, right? Another option, instead of saying I feel something, you can also say what mood you're in, right? Usually we would say, um, I'm in a good mood because, or I'm in a bad mood because. So That's just another option. I'm in a good or bad mood because. So yeah, I could say either of those, right? I feel happy because, or I'm in a good mood because. Okay, so that's another option. Oh, futsal. It was so tiring. Tiring. So when we're describing something, right, we say it is tiring. I feel tired, but it was tiring. Wow, that's a hard sport, futsal. Respect, Mino. Respect. Right now, good. So, oh, Kwang Jae, right now I am maybe taking care of my son. Taking care of my son. I feel tired. Yeah, that's taking care of kids. It's a full-time job. Hey, you're doing great though. You're doing great. Right now I'm watching Callie's YouTube live streaming. Good. So here you could even just end it at live. I'm watching Callie's live. I'm grateful. Oh, thank you. It's not a common opportunity. It's a rare opportunity. It's a rare opportunity to learn English. With others. So thank you so much. Good, Parada. Good. Right now I'm learning. I'm taking an English class. Okay, so you can say I'm learning English or I'm taking an English class. Okay, I'm learning English on YouTube. Very good. Right now I'm learning English on YouTube. I feel so productive. Good. Yes, you are productive. Sunday night studying English, very productive. I'm watching Kelly Sam's English lecture on YouTube. Good. I feel really happy because it's always interesting learning new things. Very good. Do do do. Very good. Excellent. Right now I'm having dinner. Good. At home. So you can take out the 'a' there. Okay, Jamie TV. Right now I'm having dinner at home. I'm getting full. Very good. Yes, great expression there. I'm getting full. I hope you're enjoying your dinner. Okay, right now I'm studying English. I feel excited because I enjoyed the time to study English. Good. You can say, I feel excited because I enjoy studying English. Excellent. Hiyo, very good. Coffee. Coffee is drinking coffee right now. I have coffee. Okay, you can say that. You can also say, I am drinking coffee right now. I'm drinking coffee. I feel relaxed. Okay, so it is relaxing. I feel relaxed. Good. I love coffee too. Good. Oh, thank you, Soyoung. Thank you so much. For signing up for the membership. Thank you, thank you. Okay, you guys are doing so good. Right now I'm helping my daughter with her writing homework. I'm helping my daughter with her writing homework. She doesn't seem happy with that. Oh yeah, kids don't usually like homework. Hey, I guess Who really likes homework? But she should be happy you're helping. That's very kind of you. Excellent, Ella. Yes, I'm watching Callie's live English class. Good. Burrito. I love it. Right now I'm so full. I ate 5 plates at Ashley's. At Ashley's, the buffet, right? Fun fact, little random story about me. I once got stuck in an elevator at an Ashley's. So I haven't been to Ashley's since. I think I'm traumatized. They had to have somebody come in, rescue us. I'm not joking. I had to climb out of the elevator. They pried open the doors. And it was like a wall halfway up the door, so I had to jump and climb out. It was so scary. So I haven't been to Ashley's since that incident. Their food was good though. Nothing against Ashley's, but yeah, the elevator— Right now I'm cooking dinner. I feel happy because my son will eat delicious food. Okay, so you got to add food at the end there, David. Excellent. I feel happy because my son will eat delicious food that you cooked, right? Delicious food that I cooked. Good. Oh, thank you, Jin Lee. Thank you, that's so kind. Yes, very good, you guys. Excellent. Okay, very good, very, very good. Okay, now same as last time, right? So we're going to add another detail here. So the skeleton sentences are the base. It's like the foundation of the diary entry. But some people love to write long diary entries, right? So you can put as many details as you want. So, um, for now this is only 2 sentences, but I could talk about, um, teaching an English class on live a lot, right? I could write 20 sentences if I wanted to. But maybe right now you can add one or two details if you like. So let me see. Right now I am teaching an English class. I feel happy because I get to talk with my subscribers. I— let me think about it. I love hearing what you guys have to say. I love chatting with you guys. Maybe that would be my— I love chatting with them. Simple, right? But it's a good detail to add. I'm in a good mood because I get to talk with my subscribers. I love chatting with them. It's true. Okay, I love getting to you know, read what you guys are saying and have a little chat with you guys. So there's my detail. Okay, so maybe you can add a detail or two to your sentence that you wrote. Oh no, Jiminy, the connection was not good. Uh-oh, is it okay now? I hope you can hear me okay. I'm drinking coffee. I feel relaxed. Okay, so -ed, relaxed. I feel relaxed. It is relaxing. I feel relaxed. Because, ooh, the coffee's aroma is so nice. Oh, thank you, Sungyung Yoo. That's so nice. Thank you. Maybe next I can do an ASMR style live. Then I can, you know, relax you guys with with my voice. It's a challenge. Learning a new language is definitely a challenge, but it's worth it. I agree, it's very worth it. Okay, let's continue. Now we're on the future, right? So now we are going to talk about goals and plans. In the future. Okay, so it depends when you write this, um, but it's Sunday, right? So I'm saying this week. Okay, this week, like this coming week, I will or I have to do something, right? So a task or an activity here, something you have to accomplish maybe. Or some plan you have, which, and then you can talk about your experience. So I'll do my example. Um, this week, let's see, I will, this week I will, oh, oh, okay, this week I will finish my 75 hard challenge. I'm so excited. I'm so over this challenge that I'm doing. I'm over it. It's, it's going okay, but I'm ready for it to be done. So I'm very excited. Um, okay, so this week I will finish my 75 hard challenge, which is super exciting. Okay, now I'm going to try the other one. So will is just a more neutral, um, way to talk about what you will do, right? Like about your plans. It's neutral. But if you have have to, it sounds kind of like something you don't want to do. So maybe something a little bit negative, something you don't want to do. This week I have to clean my house, which is something I'm not looking forward to. I'm not excited about cleaning my house. There we go. Nathan, yes. Get the fire crackle sounds. I love that. That's a good idea. Oh, Ronnie, 75-day challenge. It's, um, it's okay. I'm surviving. I'm still here. I'm surviving. Oh, it's a really popular health challenge in the US these days, and it lasts for 75 days. So yeah, I'm on my last 5 days here, and they have a lot of rules, like, um, no drinking alcohol. You have to have a clean diet. You have to exercise twice a day, read non-fiction books, drink a ton of water. Every day, no cheat days. So it's been tough. That's why I'm excited. Okay, so, um, oops, sorry, comma. Um, so I would not use both of these normally. I did both because I wanted to show you guys an example, but I I would probably just choose one for my diary. So I'll keep this one. This week I will finish my 75 Hard challenge, which is super exciting. Okay, so your turn. Let's see. It is tough. It is tough. Mm, this week I will participate in a seminar, okay, which I'm interested in. Oh, Coffee, what kind of seminar? That's cool. Yes, it's very strict. Yes, I'm really looking forward— I don't know if I would say a cheat day, maybe. Oh, I don't know. I was more so thinking of a cheat meal, like some foods that I've been craving. I don't know if I would do a full day. Possibly. You might have given me an idea, Nathan. I was just looking forward to a cheap meal, but maybe I'll make it a day now. Okay. Mm, this week I have to restart an exercise, which is stressful. Oh, so maybe you could say a little more naturally, this week I have to start start exercising again, or start working out again. Okay, working out, I would say, is more natural. This week I have to start working out again, which is stressful. Oh, you can do it, Farah! You got this! This week I have to go to my health checkup. Oh, which is nervous. Okay, so I feel nervous. You can say something is— it's kind of a strange word, but nerve-wracking. Nerve-wracking. Okay, so this week I have to go to my health checkup, which is very nerve-wracking. Very nerve-wracking. Wow, you guys have a lot of appointments this week. Okay, this week I have to go get a regular car inspection, which is annoying. Okay, get your cars serviced, maybe an oil change or something like that, right? Regular car inspection, maybe an oil change. This week I have to go to the dentist. Go to the dentist because my lovely daughter's teeth are shaking. Oh, uh-oh. Are they— oh, they're loose. Loose. Her teeth are loose, like they're gonna fall out, right? Her teeth are loose. This week I will give a presentation in front of my classmates, which makes me nervous. Oh, Mino, good luck. You can do it. I also get nervous, like giving presentations and stuff like that, but you got this. This week I'll see a doctor again, which is good to recover quickly. Okay, this week I'll go to the doctors. Okay, that's a good phrase to know, go to the doctors. This week I'll go to the doctors again, which is good because I want to recover quickly. Good, quickly. Mm-hmm. This week I will clean my AC, which I haven't used for a while. Good. Yeah, it's summertime soon, right? I feel like the weather is pretty hot these days. So actually, that's a good reminder. That's something I should probably do soon. Soon as well. Nerve-wracking. Yes, nerve-wracking. It means it makes me nervous. This week I have to clean my car, which is— maybe you can say, which is fine because I'm an expert and I enjoy it. Hyunee, this week I have to clean my car, which is fine because I'm an expert And I enjoy it. Oh, that's good. I'm glad you enjoy it. I definitely— when I had a car, I did not enjoy it. So I'm glad you do. This week I'll get a haircut for the upcoming summer, which makes me excited. Oh, nice, Vivian. Are you getting a big dramatic change? Is it a dramatic change, a shortcut? Or color. This week I will go to the wedding of my older friend's daughter. So this week I will go to my friend's daughter's wedding. Okay, my friend's daughter's wedding. That's a little tricky. Good. This week I will go to my friend's daughter's wedding. Excellent. This is so funny. We all have to clean our ACs. This is like a public service announcement. Everyone watching this, remember to clean your AC this week. I have to do mine too. So funny. This week I have to go to a social meeting. Oh, a social meeting which is located in Busan. Maybe meeting up with friends, Jason, right? A social meeting, maybe a club or with friends. So maybe here you could be a little bit more specific, right? This week, um, I will meet up with some friends in Busan. Okay, excellent. Oh, Gurin, I feel your pain. You can do it though. Never ever ever give up. Okay, this is the time you're going to succeed. I can feel it, Gurin. You're going to succeed this time. This week I have to do many things. I hope I can do it. You got this, Simple Life. You can do it. This week my wife and I will get a medical checkup. Good. So I would almost say that you could take out medical. It's okay to say medical checkup, but I think in English sometimes it's implied when you say a checkup. But good, um, at SNU Medical Center, which is provided by my daughter-in-law's company. Oh nice, okay, that's very nice. So, um, yeah, medical checkup is totally okay, it's good, it's very specific. Um, but in everyday life, if I say, oh, I have to, um, have a checkup soon, or I gotta go in for a checkup then it's usually assumed that it's going to the doctor's. Very good. Oh, I hope it goes well. I hope you're all healthy. I hope you get good results. I'll go to a friend's wedding. It's— I think it's wedding season. Is spring a popular time to get married in Korea? Because I feel like there's so many weddings these days? Probably, right? Spring and fall, are those the popular wedding seasons? I would guess so because summer is so hot and winter is so cold. Spring and fall must be popular. This week I'm going to the library English class, which is exciting. Oh, Jeon Soo-ji. That's nice. I hope you enjoy it. That sounds really cool. I haven't been to a library in ages, but I love going to the library. Okay guys, so then this, I'm sure you probably can guess what now. Um, you can add another detail here, right? So let me think about my detail. This week I will finish 75 Hard challenge, which is super exciting. I can't wait to eat a big bowl of sujebi. I've been craving sujebi. Actually, on my TikTok, I came across a sujebi matjeep. I think it's a matjeep. I don't know, maybe not, but it looked really good. So I have a specific restaurant I really want to go to after my challenge ends, and I want to get a bowl of sujebi and then some potato pancake. I'm craving it ever since I saw that real. I've been really wanting sujebi, even though it's getting warmer out. So yes, I'm looking forward to my sujebi. Yes, if you have another recommendation, let me know. But the one that I saw, um Online, the video of it. Oh, it looked so good. I want some sujebi and jeon and makgeolli. That is going to be my cheat meal after this diet. I love it. Jeon and makgeolli, so good. Okay guys, so pretty much what you can do now is put this all together. Let me choose one of these. Let me take my future one. Where is it at? Down here. OK, OK. And I don't know how you guys start your diaries, but usually in English we'll say, dear diary, right? So here is my diary. Dear diary, yesterday I went to a friend's wedding. It was lots of fun. I really enjoyed getting to see some of my old friends, or some old friends. Right now I am teaching an English class. I feel happy because I get to talk with my subscribers. I love chatting with them. This week I will finish my 75 hard challenge, which is super exciting. I can't wait to eat a big bowl of sujebi. All right, that's it, guys. There is my diary for this week, my Sunday evening diary. Okay, so you can take all of those and just put them together. Oh, May Bride. Oh, I've never heard of this. Dear Diary. Yes, that's a common way to start a diary in English. Okay, there we go. Did you all write your diary entries? I hope so. Actually, do you guys— here's a trivia question, trivia question. Do you know the difference between diary and journal? What's the difference between diary and journal? Take a guess if you have any idea. Mm, good guess, Mino. Good guess. Anyone else? Difference between diary and journal. That's a really good guess. So actually, okay, I'm gonna tell the answer. Actually, in everyday English, a lot of people use them interchangeably, so A lot of times people will say, I'm gonna write in my journal, I'm gonna write in my diary. So we'll use them interchangeably a lot of times, but technically diary is a little bit more of like my personal thoughts and my personal feelings and reflections about my life. And then journal can be a little bit more general. Okay, so you can just write down ideas for something or quotes, anything, any little note that you have. It's more so for notes. Okay, but in everyday English, a lot of people will still call their diary a journal. Okay, but usually, technically, a diary is more about your personal life. Hmm, yeah, like journalism, right, Jark? So that's a good way to remember it because, um, journal is like taking notes, right?
