Holy moly, I'm trying Korea's most viral foods right now. I'm outside of one of Busan's hottest bakeries, Ang Si Ang, to get their butter duck and a chocolate baguette. I tried to come here yesterday and Even though I arrived before the doors opened, I still was number 141, so I couldn't get the items that I wanted to buy. Today I showed up an hour before the bakery opens and waited in line for 30 minutes just to put my name down and join the waitlist, so hopefully Today I'll be able to get my hands on those items. I'm heading to a cafe to try something else that's trending while I wait for my butter duck and chocolate baguette. This trend is kind of up and coming. You'll see what it is in a second. Hello! Hello! Ice Americano, hadarang? Ube latte, hadarang? Oh my gosh! This is an ube latte, and I heard it's the new matcha. Ube is a Filipino vegetable. It tastes kind of like taro or sweet potato, so I think I'm going to love this because taro is my favorite. Let's take a sip. This is so good! Oh my gosh, very creamy but refreshing. I love it. Mm. This one is worth the hype. It actually almost tastes like cereal milk to me, and the visuals are amazing. I'm going to rank this an A. It's almost at the very top, but I think because it is so sweet, it's something that I wouldn't have too often. It's good for when you have a sweet tooth. Today is off to a great start. Masha'Allah. Yum, masha'Allah. I'm at My Favorite Cookie to finally try Gujeongku. I know I'm a little late, but trends come and go so fast in Korea. I can never keep up. Okay. Let's try this. Oof, that's pretty expensive. This better be good. The outside layer is very stretchy and the inside is filled with pistachio. It's very nutty and crunchy when you bite into it. Hmm, not bad, but it's not my favorite. I don't think it's amazing or mind-blowing. I'm going to give it a B. I like Dubai chocolate flavor, but I would rather have it in ice cream, and this is too expensive for what you get. I'm going to save the rest for later because it's a calorie bomb. One more nibble. I thought you were saving, saving to your stomach. It's growing on me the more I eat it, It's actually kind of addicting. Okay, save it. Self-control. I'm going to eat a lot of delicious food today, so I need to pace myself. Woo! We got here at 11 and it's 12:45 now. I hope it's worth it. I've got my tray. I'm ready. They have regular butter duck and chocolate butter ducks. I'm getting one of each. SNS famous. Wow, this is huge. Butter duck is blowing up these days. It's everywhere. So I'm most excited to try this today. I'm going to start with the original one. Whoa, the texture is crazy. Wow! Rock hard on the outside, but it's very soft and squishy on the inside. Okay, one bite without the pistachio cream first. True test. Mm, hmm, this is really good. It took me a little bit to figure it out because it's unlike anything I've ever tried before. The flavor isn't too overpowering, but you can definitely taste the butter. I think people probably love this because of the texture. The texture is amazing. All right, let me try the chocolate one quick. Oh, chocolate is super melty. Mm, it tastes kind of like a chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven, but I think I like the original buttery one more. I think I will rank I would put both of these in A. It's really chewy but squishy. There's just a lot going on there. Whoa, this is for chocolate lovers. I can already tell. Wow. It has a very intense chocolate flavor, very rich and indulgent. I think it would go really well with a cup of coffee. Mm, I'll give this maybe a C. Maybe I also like squishy textures. This is a little bit harder to bite into, so that's why I deducted points. I'm glad that I liked the butter duck, but would I stand in line for 2 hours to get it again? Probably not. Let's head to our next stop. This Boonshik place has been on my radar for a while because it's always poppin'. I came here to get the Hongdong bibimbap. Bibimbap is one of my comfort foods in Korea, but I've never tried this version of it before. This is the first savory dish that I'm eating today, and it's also definitely the healthiest. It's topped with a fried egg, and I added some thinly sliced pork belly. But of course, the star of the show is the cabbage. Let me get a bite with everything in it. Mmm, it's so well seasoned and flavorful. Mmm. The cabbage is very fresh and crunchy. I love it. I'm putting this one at the top. It's an S. Wow, I inhaled that. I'm so full, but I've still got one last place to hit up, so let's go. We are going to a bar that serves Chili's Nashville Hot cheese sticks. They also have a Dubai chocolate cocktail, so I definitely want to try that. Oh, okay, thank you. Two drinks? I cannot drink. I know. Can we be nice to the table next to us? Let's surprise them. What's like a cocktail that everybody would like? Highball? Okay. Um, thank you. This is beautiful. Wow, how do I even go about drinking this? It's not as sweet as I anticipated, which is good. I can still taste the booze in this. It's a Twix bar. Interesting. I brought a Tupperware so I can pack up the leftovers and take them home. Wow. Wow. This trend actually started in the US, but I never got around to trying it there. Let's see Korea's take on this. In Korea, people call them cheese sticks. But in the US, it's a little more common to call them mozzarella sticks. And these are Nashville Hot Ones, which means they're spicy. Oh no, this is my moment. One practice. Oh my God, why am I so nervous? This is piping hot. I'm scared I'm going to burn the roof of my mouth, but let's see if we can get a cheese pull. Holy moly! Wow, it's so gooey and cheesy. That was a great cheese pull. Sorry. Wow, I am going to rank this a crumble A. I like salty food and it's also very fun to eat, so it gets extra points for that. The cocktail, I will rate it as a B because it is quite heavy, but It is a good nightcap. What do you think was the most delicious food I tried today? Let me know in the comments below and I'll see you next time. Bye! Oh, I've got a food baby.
