A speaker describes finding a pumpkin spice latte at Plant Cafe in Itaewon, Seoul, a rare treat that reminded them of home. PSLs are seasonal and hugely popular in the US but uncommon in Korea. The drink combines pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg for a cozy, fall feeling.
One thing I did that reminded me of home this week was drinking a pumpkin spice latte. Pumpkin spice lattes are super popular in the US this time of year. It doesn't seem to be a very common drink here in Seoul, and it's only seasonal in the US, so it's a bit hard to get. But Plant Cafe in Itaewon offers one. So I went there and it was so, so delicious. It's such a cozy drink. It literally tastes like fall. It's pumpkin, but there's a ton of spices in it as well like cinnamon or nutmeg. So for me, it's kind of like a comfort drink.
