My CEO was a coo and he spoke very highly of Cameron and he was very adamant that I joined the alliance. I was hesitant at first. And one of the things about coming to this event, he said, you'll meet more of the members quickly. And one of the things that Cameron talked about when we first came on site was imposter syndrome. People thinking that perhaps you're in a group of people who are smarter than you or know more than you. But one of the things I think Cameron did the best was make everybody feel human. He had us talk about various things and all of a sudden everyone's relatable. So then you go into these small table discussions and all of a sudden you don't feel uncomfortable asking questions. You catch someone in the hallway and all of a sudden you know that they want to help you as much as you want to help them.
I've been so impressed with the quality of speakers. Not only are you learning from some of the industry, your greatest minds in the industry, but you also have cam, who's obviously built, you know, nine figure businesses and just masterclass in a lot of leadership and situational leadership.
Top just brings it all together. It takes the experience and multiplies it, you know, a hundredfold. I feel like I have an executive committee of people that I can reach out to, that I can speak to, that I can bounce ideas off of while they were in the directory for the whole year. I finally feel like I can reach out to them and we have some connection.
The ability to learn from each other, feed off of each other and motivate each other. It's quite an experience when you're in a room with people who are going through the same situations as you, and you never would have even known about it if it wasn't for the CEO alliance. Being able to be surrounded by folks that have been in situations you've been in, have experiences you've experienced, or experiences that you haven't experienced, and being able to learn from each other, I think has been the biggest value for me being a part of the CLO Alliance.
Now, having actually attended an event, I can without a doubt say that everything is as advertised. I look towards the Invest in your leaders program that Cameron has developed, and there is so much of that that we implement in our own organization, and.
That is Hewlett's great results for us.
With wonderful leadership and within that leadership or overall company culture that really encourages us to be brave and grow our organization.
One of the things that I thought to myself was, do I have time to come, can my company survive without me being there? And absolutely, yes. And one of the things that I had to remind myself is this is an investment that my company is making in me. And one of the things that Cameron reminded us is when you feel that you have that 10 times investment, you're supposed to stand up and say, bonus. And what that means is I know that I've already gotten my return on investment and I know that I stood up in the first session and most of the people here today did as well.
This event, particularly here in Boston at mit, besides the property just being so beautiful, the speakers have been unmatched. Just being able. The takeaways that we've taken Matt from SAS Academy, their former coo, what he's been able to share with us, the insights we've gotten from Michael Erath, I mean, the books that they provided, the amount of resources that we're given at these events is also something that you don't really experience anywhere else.
You're thinking, should I go to Vancouver in the spring? Absolutely. Take the chance on yourself, take the chance on your company and be assured that you're going to find peers here that are going to become friends and you're going to learn a lot.
Being immersed for a couple of days with your peers in this group is just again, it's transformational. You want to be your best self. This is where you do it.
Hope to see you soon.
